A total 0/10!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE. Incredibly rude service, My manicure cost 35 dollars and now i know why they used expired acrylic powder on my toe nails and dried out nail polish. My acrylic toenail completely broke in only one week and my paint was chipped even earlier than that. They speak in their native language about you laughing and make you feel very uncomfortable even though you are paying for the service. My Service took way longer than it should (Close to an hour) For a simple pedicure because the artist kept stoping to make jokes with coworkers and walking away mid-service to have conversations. Incredibly rude service! My sister in law and I showed up at 4:30 and their profile and door said they close at 7:00. The lady that did my pedicure didn't try to hide the fact that she didn't want to be there. No eye contact, jerking my feet and after she finished she said "go!" She rushed my SIL out while her feet were drying, yelling go! Needless to say when she reached the car her polish was ruined. This was in fact the most un-relaxing pedicure I've probably ever had. My nail artist was on the phone the entire pedicure. Being very loud. The coworkers were playing with him and he was throwing nail care products all over the salon. Even kicked a bottle of lotion at his poor coworkers head. It had been about 3 weeks since I had a pedicure and needed some pamper self care after a long busy week. I walked in on Friday afternoon about 30 minutes before closing. Just a few customers and 6 people not working. They took me in. It was not a relaxing vibe. Bright lights. No music. Lots of chit chat from employees not working. She began to take off my polish and said it's gel $5 dollar extra. I said no it's not gel. She kept dramatically (acting) like it was hard to take off and said again Gel take off $5! just said whatever but I know it's not gel! I was there to relax and didn't feel like arguing or leaving - I have NEVER put gel on my toes and I think I would know if I did because you have to cure it with a UV light. I sat irritated feeling scammed and then she had to make noises when she was doing my pedicure and commenting ohhh long time. Like my feet were disgusting. I had a professional pedicure 3 weeks ago! On a positive note, this was the first place that I was able to call and get a same day appointment, but that should have served as my first warning. I did not have any flexibility in my schedule, so when I saw the reviews, I decided to take my chances against my better judgement. I am not sure what the Nail-tech thinks I said, but I can only assume that she misinterpreted something, as that is the only way to explain how rude she was. Too many details to write; including slamming down of tools, refusing to make eye contact, jerking my foot when putting my shoes on and then pointing to the register as if I were a dog being told to go outside after shitting on the floor. I felt like I was being punked. When I asked her name, she replied "no,no name". I honestly tried folks, I smiled, and I told her she did a good job. That's right before she messed up my paint job putting the shoe on- which she only halfway fixed. Big health warning, they do not use sterilized equipment. She pulled the cuticle clippers out of a dirty box of tools, cut so much of my skin that my toes burned when she sprayed them with alcohol, then put the dirty clippers; my dna and all, right back in the box stay away!! read more

This was my second and last visit to this nail salon. I have never been treated so rudely in my entire life at a nail salon. The nail tech cleaned the floor with a rag and I asked her if she could please wash her hands prior to doing my pedicure.She became very very upset, staring at me, finally started chattering in her native language went back to the bathroom came back out, took her work basket, put it away and had the make tech come to do my nails of which I probably said no thank you this nail salon is extremely dirty they are not washing and cleaning between clients. They aren't even washing their hands between clients. I would never recommend anyone going to the salon. Just look around at the dirt and dust in this salon totally unacceptable for a business. read more

I made an appointment for me and my daughter to get our mani and pedi done on a Sunday. It was a day before leaving to go on vacation. I called twice to confirm and it was all set. We walked in early and they were able to take us. as we were getting the pedicure a party of three came in for nails and toes . They were walkins and did not have an appointment. They only had 2 to 3 people available to do nails and as a result they started doing the new customers and sat me next to my daughter while she was getting her acrylics nails done . I asked why wasn't somebody doing my nails and he said that he would do my nails after my daughters. I said no I made an appointment for us to get our nails done at the same time so we could leave at the same time. Mind you I had already been there an hour and a half and had been waiting a half hour at least after my pedicure. the woman took off my dip while I was getting my pedicure and left them very rough as I expected to get them fixed once I had the dip put on. When I heard that I had to wait until my daughters nails were done in order to even have my dip started I decided to walk out. I'm sorry but if I bother to make an appointment I believe I have precedence over somebody who just happens to walk in asking for the same thing. Needless to say I went on vacation with my nails a mess and the owner and the people there were not apologetic at all. When I was paying for the pedicures, I showed the employee my hands, and how bad they looked, and why I was leaving and he just laughed in my face. I do not recommend this place at all. Wish I had read reviews before coming here. Just a strange experience. Not very busy but like didnt communicate with each other as to who would do ped and who would do manicure so continuously waited then asked when just left in ped room. Used 1 cotton ball to remove red nail polish, asked if could remove all and scoffed and got little more off. I eventually scraped it off in sink. Two nails are still rough so will just file and remove polish at home (have natural nails and rarely polish). It was like I was a bother. They weren't rude just indifferent and not very good. Just relocted to St Augustine and made the rounds of salons. I've been to Happy Nails twice and very pleased both times. The man who did my manipedi the first time was great. Super long massage...Yay! And he removed my gel polish the correct way, by soaking not sanding! Just finished getting a gel mani and pedi with the sweetest girl : Trang. All I can say is she was so pleasant and talented and did everything perfect. The salon is clean and relaxing. The prices seem competitive. Seems the brow lady is in high demand...she had quite a line, but she kept it moving! Everyone left smiling. read more

I have been coming to this location to buy gift certificates for years. Unfortunately , this last time I came will be my last time stepping foot inside this establishment. I patiently stood at the front count for about 10 minutes, but couldn't get the gentlemen to acknowledge me , even after he looked my way . Growing impatient , I asked if I could purchase a gift certificate ( as I have done so many times in the past). He says to me, and I quote " no, come back tomorrow ." I couldn't believe that ! I drove almost 20 minutes to this place out of my way to be told to come back another day to purchase a gift certificate ? I usually buy about 500 dollars worth of them a year. I went back complaining that every mail was with cracked or chipped, they were kind enough to redo and added addition layers. They still chipped. Got a pedicure the other day. Super painful! The lady clipped the corner of my big toe nail and pulled downward further into the skin. Not sure if I bled but hurt so bad. I didn't have an ingrown nail or anything but that's how she was treating it. It's been 2 days and now my toe is infected and hurts so bad she also clipped and filed my toe nails super short and that was also painful. The massage lasted maybe 30 seconds each foot. Do not go here if you're serious about your nails. I was going here regularly and was making appointments because they accept walk ins and are always busy. One of my sets, my nail cracked off after three days, so I went to get it fixed and they wouldn't let me unless I came back later so I did and the guy who fixed my nail did a terrible job. It looked nothing like my other nails. I wanted to get a fresh set so I made an appointment at 12pm and they let my hands soak in acetone for 1hr and 15mins while they took a walk in client. It wasnt until I scraped MY OWN acrylic off my nails and washed my hands and got up is when another nail tech said "I'll get you started". I got the fresh set on Wednesday, by Thursday night, my index nail broke off. I called Sunday to make an appt to get it fixed. They said come in at 4. I come in at 4, they said "we can't take you" all to fix ONE broken nail, that happened twice in a weeks time. Do not go here. Unsanitary. Unprofessional. read more

I took my daughter and myself to get a mani/pedi. During my pedi she only massaged one foot, which I was looking forward to relaxing and enjoying it, not to mention it wasn't even for a minute. My daughter got her nails painted, within 10 mins of leaving one of the color peeled off, so we went back in and got it re painted. When we got home another nail color peeled off. I called and said I wanted a refund, and she told me "regular nail polish comes off" ummmmm no, not within 10 minutes of getting it done! So she told me to come back in, I told her I did not want to drive back and wanted to do it over the phone. She then pretended she didn't know English and proceeded to say "yeah yeah" after everything I said. I will be calling my bank tomorrow to get my money back! Terrible experience!!! read more

I don't believe they are sanitizing their tools/brushes, a BIG ole' verbal argument in the foreign language broke out between the employees (um, awkward!!) and the negative energy was off the charts. This nail salon did a great job on my mani pedi. Much better than the other 2 places I've been, including a similar type nail salon and a nice day spa. My nails and toes look great! This isn't the nicest salon I've been to, and they definitely don't give you a back massage while your nails dry (maybe that's only done back North, where I'm from?), but I will definitely be coming back. Went to get a mani pedi at nearly one of the only nail salons open on Sunday in St. Augustine. I had seen this place wasn't 5 stars but im not that picky and thought it couldn't be that bad. I was taken back. Seated in the pedicure chair immediately, but when asked what color I wanted I replied with OPI Big Red Apple. My nail tech made me get out of the pedicure chair and walk with her to get this nail polish when she picked it off the wall. This was unnecessary. I tried to put first impressions aside and continue with my mani pedi. Overall the nail tech was nicer but the salon was dirty. My pedicure chair had nail dust all over it, the towels they used might have been clean but showed signs of wear and nail polish all over them. Finally there was a little gnat zooming around me and it landed on my hand, the nail tech successfully killed it but right on me, ew. She didn't wash her hands after and just flicked it away like it was nothing. Safe to say i'll never go back. read more

Didn't finish the gel and made us put our lotion on ourselves. The lack of professionalism was astounding. Two days later the gel is chipping off. Felt like we were being weighed up. My husband was lied to when he purchased my gift certificate. Then...this happened (and I'm going to get a lawyer if necessary to expose them). An irate tech in a tantrum LAID HANDS ON ME in this salon! I've been going for almost 2 yrs. Not good but not bad. My nails were left to dry by a tech, who then went home. A lady tech screamed and ranted at me 30 minutes before closing time, telling me to "get out, go home!" I tried to point out my nails were wet and they're open another 30 minutes. She GRABBED MY ARM OUT FROM UNDER THE DRYER and shook it, screaming "get out, go now. Come back later. I go home!" The worst part of it was when I walked in today to tell the mgr. She calmly looked at me....and CALLED ME A LIAR! I demanded to see camera footage but she ignored me. They're sub par to begin with but dont ever trust being in there alone with a tech! If they can pull this on me and I tower over them, they can do it to anyone! Sneaky, nasty jerks! One tech knew what had happened bcuz she was outside waiting for a ride. first of all! she did not tell me how much the starting amount secondly I'm trying to grow my real nails. after saying ina. few weeks I have have my acrylics removed and go to just gel paint she not on cuts the nails in the two missing but grind down the rest. immediately upsetting me. my nails look fucking horrible and my anniversary is tomorrow! not to mention I have never in my life paid 55 bucks for a fill and gel paint with just the ring finger a different color!!! then she took my 60 bucks after seeing how clearly upset I was with price, her as a tech and I have crooked and wavy nails!! I went in to have gel polish removed. They used and dremel and file to do this. When I asked why she wasn't using nail polish remover and aluminum foil, she said they didn't do it that way. My nails are now very thin and dry, chipping, cracking and in terrible shape. I went back to complain and got no apology, no money back, and no promise they would change their techniques. First all I see a lot of people come here while I'm on my way to Publix or Sally's so I thought would give it a try when my other salon i preferred closed early. Now it wasn't crowded at the time and one hour to close but for some reason they were in a rush rush attitude. The gentleman that served me did not crack a smile not one time. Then he tried to talk me out of getting a manicure and I figured out why. But anyway I told him ok but at the end of my pedi I told him I did need one because I saw my terrible hang nails. He didn't look at me and just said hurry up we close at 7pm. Now we still had a half hour to go but it was sooo rude of him that I felt like I'm spending my money just do it. Well to do the manicure he has to remove the gel polish which takes special procedure and he began to really rush and get rough with my hands. I was very uncomfortable and figured I would not come back. Not to mention the lady that took care of my friend was being friendly to him which was great but after the pedicure she scrubbed the sides of the foot tub with the nail brush she used on my friend. These are the worst set of nails I've ever had to pay for in my whole entire life. One week ago, I was about to have my nails done at a different nail shop but they could not do the pink and white gel I requested. So. I called nearby nail shops specifically asked for pink and white stiletto gel nails. Happy nails told me that they can do them for $45. I explained to 4 different techs what color pink and white I wanted done to my nails. David did my nails. Once it was time to polish my nails he told me he cannot do the pink and white nail color I wanted. So he just painted my tips pink, which came out really ugly. He charged me $50. I complained to the owner that I wanted my money back. The owner told me next to time make my decision how I want my nails done then she just chunked and thickened on more layers of gel polish over my nails and gave me the pink and white that I originally requested. I tried to wear the nails for a couple days. A dozen people told me i need to go back and get my refund because they look too thick and terrible! One nail even already feel off.I came back to request a refund, instead they refused refunding my money and had the same tech, David, redo my thick chunky nails. While he did my nails, he insisted that it was my fault that my nails are no good. He was able to paint what he originally told me he could not do. If he would have done it right the first time then we wouldn't have This problem. He redid my nails too thin. I didn't notice until after they dried when I was already home. 2 days later, One nail has already chipped. He painted the gel polish unevenly, heavier chunks of gel on one end of each nail. Tried to visit today to have them corrected but they are closed. I will be requesting my money back for such an awful experience, however, More than likely, they will have the same tech do them again. read more
