The bathroom has extra toiletries available and real cloth wash cloths to dry your hands. The massage room is a good temperature with soft music, appropriate lighting, and a heated table. The massage therapist each have diversified techniques. Love my nail tech too, she is awesome. If you are looking for something super fancy and high priced, this place it's for you. Let me preface this by saying that the customer service and employee attitude was over-the-moon wonderful and inviting. Honestly that and the neat vibe of the business is what's keeping me from rating lower. There is a certain level of understanding I have in this situation, which is that I originally made the appointment for the much quicker application type, Polygel. However, they do not use duel forms and only had tips on hand, which is far from ideal and challenges the overall strength of the finished product. Once I realized they couldn't perform my Polygel, I settled for an SNS set. I understand that they take longer, but I was on a schedule which I made known, so there was an amount of rushing. That being said, I am aghast at the final product's lack of quality given that this is one of the more upscale salons in town historically. The shaping of my nails is embarrassing, the gel didn't cure properly leaving divots, and they were not drilled or filed down to a smooth surface leaving mounds all over. I've never had gel chip this intensely after only literally 24 hours. I really had high hopes for this place and always wanted to try it, but I'm just so saddened by this. I want to soak them off, but my natural nails can't handle another drilling for a reapply. *UPDATE TWO WEEKS LATER* So I decided I didn't want to suffer these nails another day and soaked them off only to find that I've got a lovely new case of nail fungus to deal with. Honestly thought I had been through the worst I could have for a set of $75 nails with no manicure, but this is just icing on the cake now. We were visiting St. Augustine and my wife wanted to get her toenails painted before going out for the night. After 2 or 3 calls, Norma Sherry was the only one who could get her in that day. I have never been to a salon before, but it was a hoot. I was planning on taking a nap in the car while she went in. I'm glad I didn't! A friendly greeting as we entered and the offer of a drink was the first impression. My wife got the pedicure while the staff was attentive to her, they also were to me as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my time waiting while they pampered her feet. Not knowing what to expect, I can't say that this is how other establishments handle their clientele, but I had a great time while my wife's feet and nails were made beautiful!! I stumbled upon Norma Sherry's in the summer of 2018 when I had first moved to Florida and was desperately seeking a new salon. Lucky for me, I struck gold on my first try. I've been coming for two and a half years now for pedicures, facials, waxing, massages, and more. I cannot overemphasize how welcoming the space is, and the surprising array of services they offer is impressive considering the building's size. Most of the time I book my appointments with Carlie, who is a kind, experienced, and knowledgeable aesthetician. I had my first facial in my entire life with Carlie and quickly made it into a habit once I started to see my skin's appearance dramatically improve. I had terrible acne as a teenager and assumed my life would be spent with irreparably damaged skin, but Carlie convinced me to try a few facial treatments and the transformation has been astounding. We regularly bemoan the fact that we did not take before and after photos! With Carlie I know to always expect exceptional service, and she always answers my questions with the care and knowledge of a true specialist. I have tried a few different facials, such as the hydra facial and micro-needling, but I have learned to trust the expertise of Carlie and the other professionals at Norma Sherry's, so I usually defer to their suggestions for skin care (especially now that Carlie knows how my skin will respond to certain treatments). I've had a few waxing appointments as well, and thanks to the hard wax that Carlie uses, the procedures are much less painful than my past experiences. What a fantastic spot on the edge of historic St. Augustine. I went here for my bridal hair and makeup, so it was quite an important occasion for me. From my first contact, right until I left, the service and communication was top notch! The spa is eclectic inside, very artsy, which I loved! It's very intimate. This isn't a huge salon with 20 hairdresser stations and 10 nail tables - you get pampered from the moment you walk in! Amber did my hair, we sat for a couple minutes and I talked to her about my event, about myself and showed her some pictures that I was drawn to for my big day. I let her do what she wanted and it was perfect! Liliana then did my makeup. We talked through each element of my look; how heavy of coverage, what do I want my eyes to look like, contouring, eyebrows, etc. she spent an hour turning my face into a masterpiece. I have been going here a few years and Norma makes you feel like family. The salon is artsy, funky and fun. The hair stylists are masters --Amber does an amazing job with both of my children's curly hair and I haven't been able to find anyone like her. I finally got to treat myself to a shampoo, cut and blow dry at Norma Sherry's & Co Spatique. It has been some time and I was overdue for doing something for myself. I made my appointment with DeWayne (LOVE HIM) and as usual I had 90 minutes of me "heaven" time. I walked in tired and feeling pretty "haggard: and I walked out feeling "glorious" and with a whole fresh state of mine. Even with me having to wear a back brace I strutted my stuff when I was done. I sure didn't feel like 74 years old. If you are looking to escape the outside world and enter into an eclectic world with incredible people that are only there to make you feel extra special this is the place to go. His highlights get me many compliments and his hair cuts get me even more. He used to give me an asymmetrical cut that not every hairdresser can do, let alone do well. Now we are working with longer hair and we are trying a keratin treatment next. The salon and staff are so welcoming and have all the popular services available. This is a little gem of a salon! They provide full services with nail and aesthetic care. The owner, Norma Sherry, is adorable, and the vibe is causal and friendly. The whole facility was beautifully adorned and accessorized. I had one of the best, high quality gel manicures I've ever had by Mona. They also sell locally made beauty products, purses and jewelry. I had a derma plane facial and came home with several cuts and burns .No questions was asked about my skin care routine, or what products I used on my skin, or allergies. Very nice Esthetician, but she went too fast over my skin and cut me in several places. If you are looking to get a 30 minute manicure In a nail salon located in a strip mall, then don't go here. The ambiance will be wasted on you. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted by Norma herself into her homey setting. The place is filled with original artwork, handmade and antique jewelry, stained glass, upholstered furniture with really cool fabrics, chandeliers and more all while listening to an eclectic selection of music. A wonderful sensory overload. I am on vacation in St Augustine and my experience here was one of the highlights of the trip. Now before you start thinking I should get a life, let me explain: Norma and everyone she has hired share the same passion for excellence and customer service in this very welcoming at atmosphere. I was there for a manicure. Shon was professional and had great attention to detail. So much so that when it was completed, I announced that it was the best manicure that I have ever had! (I'm over 60 yrs old -- that's a lot of manicures.) It was the whole package--a professional manicure amid the stylish, original setting and Norma's warm, genuine personality. It was an experience. I gave both Shon and Norma S. hugs before leaving because I just appreciate the unique experience that I was able to enjoy. Great place but almost didn't have the colors we had requested a couple months in advance and had to find the closest options available due to time restraint. Took about 3 hours for a manicure and pedicure and no massage chairs for pedicures which made us kinda sad. But LOVELY gals working there and still would return either way.
