I had one of the worst nail salon experience here. I am a brown girl and the way the lady at the reception talks is super rude, ignorant and racist. I have always booked appointments a week before and every time I go in, I have to wait atleast 30 minutes. Initially, I thought it's a language barrier but when of the workers started screaming at me because I said I already have an appointment, why would I have to wait repeatedly?!? She screamed in English in front of the staff and customers. I have worked in retail for over 5 years and have a bachelors degree in Public Relations, and I have never seen this kind of racism and discrimination. Being kind and polite is free, and I will not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I got my nails done around 2 weeks ago and it was terrible. it took 30 minutes just to get sat down and it's not a fun place to be. the woman who did my nails was rude and rough with my hands. I got French tips and there all messed up so bad. my nails are all different lengths and for the amount of time I was there (almost 3 hours) it was not at all worth the money. my nails only lasted about a week because the woman who did them didn't put it on my real nail. if I could give it 0 stars, I would. read more

The staff were extremely friendly and took their time with my acrylics making sure they were smooth and even! The salon worker asked me multiple times throughout the process what I thought of the nails and asked if they looked okay to me and I thought this was very attentive. If '0' was an option for the amount of stars they deserve I would have picked it. Took my mom for a pedicure and manicure, to start they wanted to sit us apart (which they successfully did during the manicure), then I needed my solar nails soaked off first, they sat my hands in acetone for over half an hour, causing my hands to dry out and feel like they were burning. We both had a gel manicure, within a matter of hours my mom's white tips turned yellow/beige, within 3-4 days mine were also turning yellowish and peeling off, (neither of us smoke) I found their prices absurd, especially for the level of service we received. We both had to properly soak off the gel 'manicure' they did less then a week after it was done. I did our own gel and they're easily 100x better and have not turned yellow. Save your money and go to an actual spa where they're trained, and you know you'll get your monies worth. $160 down the drain We'll never be back. read more

The staff were openly annoyed that I came at 8 pm for a pedi. I was in and out in 15 minutes even when I complained that they didn't exfoliate my feet. She didn't even touch my toes with the scribble, and when I asked, the little man sternly told me I don't have calluses and that he doesn't know what I want. She rubbed my heel with the tool for about 1 Minute or less per heel, and then shoved my foot into the empty tub. (She emptied it while getting the tool from the sterilizing machine) rolling her eyes at me, she asked me "GOOD?" I said yeah, whatever just paint my nails. I could have done this in the shower. I know better than to go to the mall anyhow, as they don't seem to care about repeat business. Poor service. Shouldn't advertise as "spa" should be called "paint your nails only" read more

It was my first time going to them and it was a HORRIBLE mistake! I had a set of extensions done on my fingers. I was there 35 mins total. They drimmeled my nails down so much when you look at the nails now with the paint, you can see red around the color since they thinned the nail down so far. I wont be able to have it removed now because I will lose my nails. Ill have to wait the months for them to grow out - ruined my nails! The service was absolutely terrible and for $92.00 I got nothing. They didnt even wipe my hands or soak my cuticles. No cream nothing. Literally hacked at my cuticles dry and when we were finished they didnt even clean my hands from the dust. Told me to go wash them and pay. DO NOT GO HERE! Your hands will suffer! read more

I had a set of acrylic nails done with french tips and after seven days, the white tips (non airbrushed, just white plastic tips) have turned an ungodly orange/yellow colour. The staff is very rough with your nails, and they do not speak to you almost at all; they converse to each other, but not the client. Would not recommend. read more

Absolutely the most unhinged service I have ever received. It started with the nail tech telling me I couldn't have the colour or shape I wanted (replying "no" when I asked her for light pink coffin shaped nails) and ended with her gripping my hand telling me I wasn't allowed to complain and she had me on camera. I hadn't shown displeasure or voiced any concern, but she still threatened me that I wasn't allowed to complain about her service. She asked what I did for work and then overcharged me, it was $85 for the most uneven, ugliest nails I have ever received in years of getting acrylics. She was also rude to me and made fun of me throughout the entire service, like when I accidentally bumped my hand against the UV light and she scoffed and said "there you go again." She kept getting mad at me for having "tense hands" and hit my hand at one point. I was genuinely scared because she wouldn't let go of my hand when she was telling me I wasn't allowed to complain. Save yourself money and stress and go somewhere else! I have an appointment elsewhere to get them fixed. read more

I was in last night around 7pm for a pedi and they don't have very good service at all. Their "massage chair" was more like an electric chair, matter of fact it shook so bad & violently that it made me get sick after I got my nails done, I don't know how the lady was even able to paint my nails with the chair shaking so bad.. Wasn't relaxing it all , felt more like a roller coaster ride & I'm a nurse with back problems already and that chair she put me in did not help at all. I asked her to turn it off but she wouldn't answer anything that I said so I had to awkwardly lean forward the rest of the time she did my nails. I won't be back and suggest trying Saigon nails in Russel Lake or Vacation nails on Wyse rd instead, both have similar prices and better service. There's no need for any polite paying customer to deal with bad service like this. read more

Such bad service and experience. The workers are ignorant and don't know what they're doing. I waited from 10:30-12:30 just to get acrylic tips put on. While I waited they kept taking people in who got there after I did. And when it was finally my turn they kept jumping between customers. Don't waste your time or money here. I asked for acrylics with shellac the lady took no more than 40 minutes to finish them when normally acrylics take at least 1-1.5 hours for a quality job. She made one of my nails clearly crooked and when I asked her if she could file it and make it straight she very lightly filed each side fixing nothing at all. I went with it as she clearly didn't care and just wanted me to leave so they could rip the next person off. read more

I'm sure I've have a worse mani-pedi. Just can't remember when. My daughter was visiting from the states. We went there for a girls afternoon treat. I had gold acrylic polish on my toes. Within 24 hours it turned colors on the edges. ewww Both my daughter and myself had shellac nails. My daughter wanted French nails, which she gets frequently. The gentleman did not want to do French nails and made it very clear. The younger man that did mine was in a hurry. My daughters thumb nail caught and peeled off that evening. The following day I suggested we go have it fixed. She refused, saying that there were now 4 peeling. Mine have partially peeled off 5 of my nails. We had our nails done 8 days ago. I have never had them begin to peel like this. I've always had to remove the polish due to my nails growing out when I've used shellac. $150. down the drain. :( After visiting with my daughter this evening we both realized that they did not prep the nail at all prior to applying the primer. read more

The first visit to Nails for You salon was wonderful and I was very happy with the acrylic nails - a great experience. Today, 28 July 2016, was the exact opposite. I will NEVER go back to this salon in Mic Mac Mall. It was obvious that they were more interested in the volume of business over the quality of work. All I had was a fill and 2 tips replaced and my nails are sore to touch and the nails differ in colour and shape. Not impressed! read more

My daughter decided to take me to "Nails For You", in Mic Mac Mall for a pedicure, as she was away for my birthday. My Mom was visiting from BC so we invited her along for a nice Sunday afternoon girl's day. We had booked an appointment, prior to going, so we were surprised that they didn't even start us for 25 minutes after we arrived. I don't believe they spoke any more then 5 words to any of us, and even that was very hard to understand, as out of the 3 employees, none could speak English. I have no complaint for the service I received but my Mom didn't even look like she had a pedicure, other then the new nail polish. Several customers came and went, some never even being acknowledged, and just leaving after 10-15 minutes. One lady came in, very upset, that her $75 manicure, the day before, already had a nail lifting. They were extremely rude to her and told her to come back in 3 hours!! She started to create a bit of a scene so they told her to go sit down. He eventually slapped some glue on it and sent her on her way. I doubt she will be back! There was nothing friendly or inviting about this place! So it came time to pay. I was paying for my Mom's pedicure with debit, but as soon as I pushed the digits in, the man yanked the machine from me, and took my card out. I told him that it wasn't done processing. He ignored me and starting pushing buttons and unplugging it. I told him, several times, that there was nothing wrong with the machine, that he removed my card too soon. He asked for the other guy to come up, who I repeated the same thing to. He unplugged it again and then looked at me, and yelled, "You have no money, you broke! Cash, you pay cash!" I told him, not a chance, you need to put it through again as the other guy did not allow it to process. He finally passed me back the machine and I made sure, he could not remove my card before the transaction processed and lo and behold...I had cash! It was APPOVED, just like I said it would be. It was then that I noticed the stack of money on the counter behind him and realized what they tried to do. We all know it costs the company a percentage when you pay with anything other then cash. I believe, this business tries to embarrass people, by removing the card before it processes, and yells, "You have no cash!" (that was the clearest sentence any of the 3 said in the hour and a half we were there) Most people would just pay with cash if they have it, so they can just get out of there, and avoid further embarrassment. I will NEVER enter this place again! The worst Customer Service I have ever witnessed! I also plan to bring this complaint to the Better Business Bureau, as I believe they may be interested in this store's practices. I hope this saves some other family, trying to have a nice, relaxing outing, from going through what we did. You couldn't pay me to go back there!! read more
