GUYS. we need to have a serious talk about this place. it is the absolute best- as in straight up where is the ten star button. the week before sister's wedding, I made an appointment for five of us to have deluxe pedicures and gel manicures here at nails n wax. there are massaging reclining chairs to relax in with stacks of magazines to peruse while your grimy toes are pampered. the deluxe pedi was great, with leg scrubs and fancy foot business a plenty. there's a HUGE rack of o.p.i polish to choose from. the gel manicures were done perfectly, and with attention to detail. the polish lasted forever- it literally looked great for WEEKS. we all highly recommend this place! read more

They suck. They took 2 ppl before and i needed a pedicure. They took my mom only. I weny off. P Wife in the g R ont os trash she cant even do designs or cater to you bc pplake her believe she is the best whe she is trash she wont even massage you with your full and i know i was raised here. I left 2011 and sonce then she wont do a thing but place a full set Today it was dirty and minimal staff. She knew better P deserve better than what was in there i was never treated this bad. Ok this is going to be long. Their sign says King Nails & Spa so don't be confused. I was a loyal K Joy customer. I still say that Kimmie does a fantastic job there and her salon is beautiful, BUT... On December 26th, I went to K Joy and they were closed. I needed to get my nails done THAT day. I had been to this salon about 2 years ago and it was just ok. Very basic nail options. A full set took forever. Only accepted cash from their cash machine that charged a fee and the lady that owned it also owned the froyo place and spent most of the time pushing her food on everyone which also only accepted cash... that always seems shady to me. I saw some newer fantastic reviews and decided to give them another try. I am BLOWN away! The salon is totally different. Tons of absolutely BEAUTIFUL options. It seems as though it has new owners. I was a walk-in with no appointment, yet I was greeted immediately and given a seat to get started even though they were busy. They do accept cards now and no mention of food. Lol. Vi did the most beautiful set of dip nails and at a great price (about $15 less for a full set of dip nails in an ombre style). She put so much extra effort into making sure that my hands and nails were beautiful. From a very thorough trimming of my cuticles (not just relying on the grinder and filing) to massaging my hands after the nails were complete. You get the full manicure treatment in addition to beautiful nails. King was helping and very sweet and friendly. At 48 years old and having had my nails done since I was a teenager, I can honestly say these are my favorite nails ever. I can't stop looking at them. I will definitely be back with no hesitation. Please pardon the old wrinkly hands and bad picture. They are 1000 times prettier in person. They are great! my nails are always exactly what I want! I've been going to them for a couple of years and have never had a complaint! I once tried a new place & when they messed up so badly i came back to nails n wax to get my nails repaired and we laughed about the whole thing, since then I have never tried to go to another place. Best gel manicure I've ever gotten. I wish I knew the gentleman's name that did my nails but he was so meticulous, my nails were literally perfect. And they lasted about 3 weeks. Wonderful experience! You are always warmly greeted, all the technicians are very skilled with acrylic nails, gel manicures, waxing, regular manicures, and their pedicures are amazing! They also take appointments if you're pressed for time. My very picky husband even joins me for mani/pedi days, and he comes away relaxed and very happy with their work. The shop is spotlessly clean, and it's a nice, peaceful, relaxing environment. I highly recommend a visit to this salon- you won't be disappointed! I won't go anywhere else! read more

I only gave this salon 1 star because I couldn't give it less. The salon is clean. The pedicures are good. Some can do nails well. And some can't even polish your nails! It just depends on who you get. Luck of the draw you might say! But the real JEWELof this salon is the OWNER! She is rude beyond words! I've witnessed her snippy remarks to customers on numerous occasions! And I've been on the receiving end of her "bad days" as well. I've run into several FORMER clients at other salons! I have since found a wonderful salon!!! A wonderful owner!! She is kind, considerate of MY time, not just her own! My nails look the best they've ever looked! This nail salon does a great job on nails, but they lack customer service skills. They are very rude, unfriendly, and have no respect for their customer's time. I stopped going to this salon because I prefer to go to a place of business that appreciates me as a customer. The vibe in this salon is that they are doing you a favor, but I hate to tell them; their customers are the ones doing them a favor!! They seriously need to go take some customer service training courses. There are too many salons in the area to put up with their nasty attitudes. Not sure how long they will be able to stay in business unless they change the way they treat their customers....Horrible, horrible way to do business! read more

I decided to try this place for my most recent mani/ pedi considering the high reviews and my usual place was booked up. The salon is very nice with up-to-date amenities and quiet. The nail techs were not very chatty but I brought earbuds. Also, I was the only customer for most of the time that I was there. I received one of the best manicures and pedicures I've ever had. I don't baby my hands and my mani/pedi still look perfect after a week and a half. I had a French gel manicure done by a young man and a regular French pedicure done by a motherly type lady who are both very skilled at what they do. Instead of the usual lotion hand massage after the manicure, I was offered lotion to apply to my own hands... not really a deal breaker for me but if hand massages are your thing, you may want to look elsewhere. The only caveat for me is that they only accept cash. However, they do have an ATM at the front of the salon. The cost was comparable to my usual place (~$60 for both). They won't tell you, they'll tell you they'll fit you in, but when 3 people come in after you (who in all right have an appointment) but they act like they'll fit you ok don't believe it. Waited 45 min as people came and went. Just don't lie people, it's ok to say you really can't fit me in. And to make it worse the woman who talked to me was very brash. read more
