My first visit was with Jasmine, and she used expert precision to execute my nail design exactly like the photograph. Yesterday, I was seen by another lady (her name escapes me), but I know she has two grandchildren. I let her free style the design on my pedicure, and it came out better than expected. Right now they have a special $10 off a milk and honey pedicure (yes, they use real honey). Don't just take my word for it, go check them out for yourself.

I asked how much for a gel polish change the receptionist said $25, which was not bad for a gel polish change. I get inside then the price is $30. At this point I'm like ok still. The receptionist gave me the books to look at gel polish. After taking off my design I had on my nails, mind you my nails are not even a week old I just wanted a new color, the nail tech preceded to find the colors I asked for. Each and I mean EACH and every color l asked for they did not have. After me picking out about five different colors and them not having them a new technician came over and proceeded to say I will mix some colors together to make the color you are asking for I said OK let me see, the technician proceeded to mix the colors and paint them on a tip for me to see. The color was not anything that I was interested in at this point. I am like OK I should have just kept the design I came in with on my nails and never stopped here. I was saying this to myself of course not to the technician. I actually opted in to show them a picture after the technician asked me did I have a picture of something I may like, the technician proceeded to paint my nails with just a black pen over the powder colors already on my nails. At the register the receptionist rang the price and it is $50. I am like "no I am not paying that because you guys didn't have any colors I wanted and you guys had to make up something for me to get because my nail design had already been taken off." Had I came in for a design initially this would have been acceptable however, I didn't so the $30 was already too much being as though I had to go through so much to even get this on my nails. Which I reiterate, was not what I initially came in for. Long story short if you are looking for a variety of colors, do not come here because they are not here. Ask before you sit down if they have the color that you need if you shall venture here anyway. This is my recommendation. Bad experience and might I say I'm new to Texas. I came into town for a quick overnight trip and decided I wanted to get my nails done last minute. I found Cindy on yelp and loved her stuff and called and she had an opening which was amazing. I'm normally not a talker but she was so easy and sweet to chat with. Her husband runs the shop with her and they were such a lovely couple as well as their daughter in the back. I had not taken great care of my nails and Cindy was so good with them. I showed her a picture and she nailed it. Their little setup was so cute and relaxing she offered a drink as soon as I got there. I could rave about her but to sum it up I will definitely be going back next time I'm in town. Thank you Cindy

Mike was super nice, professional, and took his time, which I appreciated. However, checkout was frustrating. There was an unexpected extra charge labeled "nail tip," but I didn't get tips--these are my natural nails. I mentioned it to the front desk, and instead of explaining or checking kindly, the woman loudly yelled Mike's name across the salon about 3 or 4 times--even though he was clearly setting up for a pedicure. She didn't move from her seat once or attempt to handle it with any care or discretion. Mike came over and explained that the charge was actually for the cut-down and shaping (I got a simple square shape). I've never been charged extra for that before, and it definitely wasn't mentioned during the service. I told the front desk it would've been nice to be informed of any extra fees up front. She didn't respond--not a word. Just sat there with an attitude and zero customer service. It was especially disappointing because this was my first time at the salon. The staff even asked if it was my first visit, so there was no excuse for the lack of communication. You ask all kinds of questions during the appointment--asking if I want short, long, square, round--so why not mention when there's going to be an extra charge? That said, the salon itself is beautiful. I really loved the pink and floral decor--it's cute and aesthetically pleasing. Mike did great work, but the front desk experience definitely left a bad impression.

While it's best to make and have an appointment, they do take walk-in, but you may have to wait over 30 minutes for service. I rolled the dice and took my chances and showed up without one. Even though I had to wait, they invited me to choose my nail color from the wall shelf and sit in a massage/salon chair where I could at least turn on the automatic massage feature on my chair and enjoy the rolling and kneading mechanism until a nail technician was available. There was also a home renovation show playing on the television with the captions on to help pass the time. Whether you have an appointment or not, you will check in at the front desk with your cell phone number. A laminated menu is provided with detailed descriptions allowing you to choose the nail services you want. Some use paraffin wax, hot stones, a variety of fragrances like lavender or vanilla, and different amounts of time for massage. I usually get pink and white (acrylics or gel) when I go to her and it's always even and each nail is a mirror image of the other hand. She checked them while she works which is a big plus. Now, if you get your nails done as regular as I do, you know how difficult it is to get an appointment at any nail place and mind you we ALL have busy schedules. Well, Michelle works 6 days a week and makes time for me even with my hectic schedule. I will admit there are times when I went elsewhere to get my nails done (out of convenience). I would compare their work on my nails to what Michelle would have done and was always disappointed. I always came back to her. I get compliments from my family, friends and co-workers all the time and am happy to refer them. With the little nails beds I have, she makes them look beautiful, which makes me happy.
