I've been coming here twice a month for the past 2 years and have always just got a gel manicure. Yesterday I came in & asked for an acrylic set since I'm getting married, and she 1. Did not do acrylic at all? She just put 3 layers of clear gel on my nails then dipped my fingers into a powder, dusted my fingernails off into the same little jar of powder (how many people's finger dust has collected in that jar at this point? Gross.) then I reminded her again that I asked for acrylics. To which she told me that this is the new way to do acrylics? Not true. Then once she painted them (thick & terribly might I add) she told me it'll be $85!!!! Never in my life have I ever heard of an acrylic set with a plain color, no design or French to cost $85! She completely took advantage of the fact that I don't normally get "acrylics" (I say it in quotes because she literally didn't put any acrylic on my nails.) And she thought she could tell me an outlandish price since I never get them. Absolutely insane. Never again will I be back. They try to rip you off and take advantage. read more

went there and asked for a simple fill for my nails, three had fallen off and did not tell em each nail they would be replacing costed an extra 5 dollars. as soon as i walked in they sat me down while i was trying to pick a color then later had to just describe the color to another worker to get the closest one tbag i wanted, keep in mind i had a photo that they didn't follow. my nail lady proceeded to keep drilling my nails too deep, drilling off the already existing tip, and file my real skin. when she asked me what shape i wanted i told her almond and she did half way almond and decided the sharp edges were close enough to almond and she didn't need to do any more shaping. lastly she painted my nails with the color i had no intention of getting very clumpy and messy and did not put any top coat on it. read more

I booked my appointment a week in advance for me and a friend. They called me back 3 separate times throughout the week asking me the same question to verify my appointment. On Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. They also confirmed the price beforehand (which was not the price we paid in the end). I got a gel pedicure with a design (inspo pic below versus what she had done), and it was awful. Nothing like the photo. I said I wanted a clear base for a french design and she came back with light pink. She then asked me three times if I really wanted clear. She missed an aspect of the design and had to go back to fix it. It looked so bad I just told her to take it off and paint my nails one solid color. Left without a manicure because the whole ordeal took 2 1/2 hours. She also broke my ceramic coffee cup and said "at least it wasn't that much coffee!". Terrible experience. read more

My wife was there twice before but the third time, August 7, 2020 was a DISASTER!! The technician who did the pedicure absolutely BRUTALIZED her right foot!!! She now has 4 pus oozing wounds/sores that we are trying to treat to combat obvious INFECTIONS. Hoping to avoid a doctor's visit especially during COVID when we have been very, very careful. They took her in, let her pick out her color then the woman behind desk said "no appointment, sorry we can't see you". Then they said "at least she was able to look at colors!" This place makes zero sense. I called to see if they were able to take a walk in for a fill, which they said was fine. They have me sit down, a few minutes go by and the receptionist asks me if my nails are acrylic, which I respond yes. She then tells me they don't do acrylic but they'd see what they can do, and still had me wait an additional 10 minutes for the technician to come over. Once she comes over, she looks at my nails and audibly sighs. Her and the receptionist look at each other and the receptionist goes "Yeah sorry we cannot do acrylic".........so what was the point of having me wait here if you were just going to turn me away? I had the WORST/ MOST PAINFUL manicure experience of my entire life! The nail technician was clumsy, she was rough to push my cuticles back, cut them and made them bleed. I am pretty sure she must have been new or never used a drill file before... she cranked that thing full speed and made my nails burn and bleed and caused cute all around my nail bed! Writing this from my boyfriends Yelp... I went here after having my thyroid cancer removed from my neck for a little relaxation. Instead I walked in and had to wait ten minutes for someone to acknowledge me at the front desk. I was immediately asked what had happened to my neck which has a new incision on it and was told to pick a color. I wanted a lavender gel polish which was shown on the display board. My manicurist brought over a deep purple. I explained I would rather have the lavender and she got up in a huff and brought me over to pick a new color. I then reluctantly picked a light pink and much to my surprise they did not have any light pink gel polishes. A salon with no light pink or lavender. I then picked a fuchsia and when she asked if I wanted to add sparkle to it as I tried to decide if it needed it she said "I DON'T HAVE ALL DAY I CAN'T WAIT HERE FOREVER COME ON!" In tears I grabbed the polish and went to the back with her, upset with both her attitude and the fact that I could not get my first or second pick in polish. The only reason I did not walk out was because a friend of mine bought me this gift certificate for here. She then shaved off my previous gels and did not soak them and proceeded to shave off parts of my actual nail so my nails are now THIN and BRITTLE. It has been one week and 3 nails have already broken and this is with gel polish. Attitude was incredibly rude, overpriced for poor work and the manicurists were complaining of the noise the happy bridal party was making on their wedding day. Do not go here. a friend of mine brought her 4 year old daughter there today. Only one customer getting her nails done at the time. There were 3 employees standing at the desk. One of the women took the little girl to pick out her nail color. All of a sudden my friend was told "sorry we can't see you, you don't have an appointment". So they walked out and needless to say her daughter was extremely upset. My friend went back in and told them they just broke her daughters heart as this was the first time since Covid she has been out to get her nails done and she would be writing a review. I would NEVER return to this salon! I've never been so compelled in my life to write a negative review about anything! We came to this salon as a bridal party of 7 girls. Reservations were made months in advance on confirmed prior to our arrival. From the beginning of our experience the service was appalling. They were beyond rude to us especially the woman who runs the "welcome" desk. What pushed me over the edge was the manner in which the I'm guessing manager at the desk treated the bride. Her gel manicure was poorly done and one of the nicer technicians agreed and was going to redo it for her. The manager yelled at the technician not to redo it and just go over the polish with an additional coat to mask the hideous job previously done which left her cuticles bleeding. The bride was not wanting confrontation and began to cry as the manager scolded her and the technician who was trying help the situation. I am shocked that people think you can run a business in this way, especially a service that can be provided beautifully and enthusiastically by many other salons. read more

I had an awful experience my last time here!! I used to go all the time for my pedicures and honestly thought the place was great. So when it came time to get my nails done for my friends wedding I figured why not just go here...I even brought the bride with me. They were pushy and argumentative in giving me plain tips without getting the $110 LCN set. After a lot of back and forth they agreed but the woman seemed so reluctant that I was afriad she didn't know how to do plain tips. Turns out she wasn't so good at the LCN either, after a couple of days they start to lift. Great place for a pedicure but after that last experience I will never go back! read more

I have been coming here for years and am always happy with the service. Jessica is my girl and she is quick and witty. Gabby and Anna are also fabulous too. I have had several of the other technicians as well but can't remember their names. I like going here because I don't feel like I am rushed during an appt. The key word in that sentence is an appointment!! I hate it when people give bad reviews because they had a bad experience as a walk-in and the salon could not accommodate them, well duh! You and other people all wind up going around the same time so of course they cannot fit everyone in! No matter who does your pedicure they spend like ten minutes with exfoliating and massage. Other salons it's like just a quick wimpy wipe. This salon is great and always do great work and it is not a wham bam thank you ma'am experience. read more

I love Nails Plus! Eyebrow waxes are great, the women really listen to what you're looking for (no tadpoles, please!) and take their time making your eyebrows look perfect. Pedicures are so relaxing, and the salon is incredibly clean. Also a big plus - you can tip on your credit card! Worth spending the extra $1 or $2 because they are so much better than your average walk in nail salon! read more

This is a great established nail salon. They offer 3 locations, I have been to all three but frequent Red Bank as it's closest. They are clean, friendly, and do a fabulous service on nails. Amazing selection of Essie, OPI, CND, and Vitrolux polishes, gel polishes as well! I love my Nails Plus days, and during the winter holiday they even give you a gift or lotion, and toeless socks for winter pedicures! I would recommend Nails Plus any day of the week!! read more

Went to get a manicure pedicure here in hopes this would be my new nail spot after work. Pedicure was good, no complaints. I tipped her very generously considering everything going on. My gel manicure was lifting within 2 days of getting them done. On almost every nail. By t3 days later two were so bad I had to take it off. Went in and showed the woman at the front desk. She was very nice and told me to come in get them redone. The woman who had originally done them kept saying she didn't remember me and they were fine and they couldn't have been done by her. They were all lifting even the front desk woman said it. She made me so uncomfortable and got nasty. Took them off did not even offer to redo them (which I would've paid some amount/tipped her for because I'm not crazy). When she finished removing them said wash your hands and go youre done. As if she did me some big favor. So rude. Only have two stars because pedicure was okay and the woman at front desk was nice I guess. Wouldnt recommend and definitely won't be back. read more

I have been to this salon 3 times for a Dazzle Dry manicure. I had a different nail technician each time. The first time my manicure looked beautiful and lasted two weeks which is typical for dazzle dry. The second time my manicure chipped within three days. This is unusual for a true dazzle dry manicure. I went back and complained, but nothing was done to accommodate me. I needed a manicure so I had another dazzle dry manicure with a different nail technician. She was extremely rough while pushing back my cuticles causing me to bleed at the cuticle. Within an hour of the manicure one of my nails had no polish! By the end of the evening the polish on all of my nails had peeled away. Either the polish is not the actual dazzle dry product or the nail technicians at this salon have no idea how to apply Dazzle Dry. Dazzle dry when applied correctly will easily last two weeks if not longer. Needless to say I will never go back to this salon. read more

I have been coming to all three Nails Plus locations for several years, but I haven't had a tech as thorough and meticulous with their work as Steven in the RB location. He is not a talker - he just gets right down to his job and gets it done efficiently. The first time I went to Steven for an LCN fill he did not do such a great job - come to find out he could not work with the job a previous nail tech had done on my nails. The problem is he never told me this and let me leave unhappy. However after speaking to the studio coordinator I came back in so he could fix them and the job was better. He recommended a new set for the next appt and I agreed. I'm so glad he redid them because they are stronger and last longer than before. Steven seems very serious about his job and takes pride in his work. I'm so glad I finally found my go to nail person in my area. Couldn't be happier with the results!! read more

Nails Plus is a venerable Nail Salon in Red Bank. The Nail Technicians are lovely, warm people and are very considerate to the clientele. We've never had a bad experience there. My daughter, sister and I have been frequenting Nails Plus for years. The Spa Pedicure is especially good. If you "mess up a nail" while waiting for the product to dry, a Nail Tech will fix your mistake with rapid speed. It's always a pleasure to visit Nails Plus. They also have a program for frequent customers that allows one to get special discounts for occasions like birthdays, etc. So glad to have Nails Plus in our community. read more

A friend and I recently went to this place for the first time and both of us could not be more dissatisfied with our manicures. I told the lady I've been trying to grow my nails out, and she told me "you don't need long nails when you have long fingers" and then went on to cut all of my nails short. I chose a pastel purple color and left the salon happy with the color but mad my nails were short again. The very next morning I woke up to find my nails were turning to a foggy light brown color above the purple. This brown took over more and more each day until my nails were so ugly I pulled them off myself not even a week later. My friend also got a gel manicure and just days later one of the nails polish just peeled clean off! The rest of her nails are now turning gray (they were nude color) and cracking all over the place! I walked in as a walk in on a day where it was pouring rain and I asked for a fill. the nasty front desk women just assumed I had "LCN GEL" and when I corrected her and said I had acrylics she gave me a nasty look like I was poor or disgusting because I didn't have "gels". she said "oh we don't do that here". like it was illegal or something. she embarrassed me in front of her waiting customers. mind you she had nothing to be snobby about from the looks of her. anyways. just a suggestion, maybe instead of turning paying clients away. give them options of maybe removing there acrylics and going w. a gel or suggesting where someone could go to get a fill instead of being a nasty stuck up bitch. never will look in there direction ever again. go to Eden nails down the street ladies so much more welcoming, clean and normal !!! read more

It's a shame, but I will never go back here. Their definition of removing LCNs is to rip them off...and when you tell them they are ripping your nail, they proceed to just file you for 30 minutes until they cut you twice. 20 bucks to remove 4 nails and many layers of my natural nails is robbery. They will never see me again and I will certainly be spreading the word about their terrible way of doing business. read more
