It was late in the evening when my daughter and I decided to find a nail salon open for a quick simple pedicure to refresh our tired feet (and bodies). She remembered a great experience she had here several months ago when they wouldn't take her elsewhere without an appointment. If you know...it's very challenging for moms of small children--especially with special needs--to make appointments and keep them. So, we took the chance and walked in on a Thursday evening. Whenever my sister, daughter or mother come to town we always schedule with them. My 84yr old mom lives in Michigan, she always look forward to getting her nails done here at Nails Safa. Over recent Holidays they treated her so sweet with Wendy hand painting beautiful holiday designs. After Christmas I took her back to have the holiday removed and a trim. Again, Wendy hand painted her nails in beautiful light pink with French tips. Everybody is always friendly and prices are very reasonable. If you want the absolute worst manicure of your life and for them to physically hurt you this is the place. I came on Black Friday with my mom. She wanted to get her nails done and it was last minute so we didn't really have a choice because this place is near my home. I had a crack in one of my nails and I told them to please be careful because if they broke it all the way it was gonna hurt really badly, halfway through the manicure, she breaks it all the way across and it started bleeding and I started crying. I didn't wanna fight with anyone so I just let her finish and they did not give me a discount or offer any type of retribution so I paid I tipped 20% and I left. Fast-forward one week and three of my nails have cracks in them so I decided I needed to go a tiny bit shorter so they would stop breaking again. My normal lady doesn't have time for me so I go back in here, hoping that they would do a better job this time and feel bad for the last experience. I told her I wanted to go a little bit shorter, and they basically took my, long nails down to nubs. not only that, but are they all completely different lengths and completely different shapes. Please see the pointer finger on my left hand. But to make matters worse, the exact same thing happened where I told her to be careful because three of my nails now had cracks in them, and she broke the nail down into the quick yet again. My nails are always what I ask them to do and always perfect. Lucy, Duc and there are too many to name have always treated me like family. Avoid this salon at all cost. They use dirty tools, they are not properly, cleaned and sanitized, which results in an infection. The salon was dirty nail clippings on the pedicure foot rest. Unless you want to spend time in pain and take a bunch of antibiotics avoid at all cost. read more

Let me start off by saying this is the second time I'm giving this place a chance. The first time wasn't that impressed but this is close to my apartment that I decided to give it a second chance.. Within one day one of my nails broke so I came in to get it fixed. Then the same nail broke again the next day, I called them to make an appt they told me to come in at 6:30pm. I came in at 6:30pm & they told me I have to wait 30 minutes after making an appt that day. This is SUPER frustrating and unprofessional especially when you have a busy schedule. I'm already upset that I have to come in TWICE after getting my nails done 3 days ago and now I am asked to wait 30 mins after making an appointment?! Not the way you should run a business. Do not come here!! I never leave reviews but this was honestly my worst nail experience ever. First off I got a gel manicure that lasted 4 days...I repeat 4 days! They don't know how to properly do nails there- my fiend also got a pedicure and they didn't even put a top coat on. Also this place is dirty, they do not clean there. There were large toe nail clippings on the ground every where and they do not use clean equipment for new customers. I am surprise the health department has not shut them down yet. And to top it off 2 out of the 4 techs working were sick, coughing up a lung and they were not covering their mouths at all. Please do yourself a favor and go anyway else. read more

overpriced for a bad job in my opinion. My grandmother and I were running errands stopped by a regular polish manicure pedicure. I was in and out of the chair in under 30 minutes for my pedicure and there was not a lot of "fluff" with the pedicure. Just a trim and polish change. No hot stone, hot towel, etc. and they charged me $30. The manicure was the same and they charged an additional $20. All in all just too pricey for me for a subpar experience. read more

Use to come here on and off maybe 3 years or so for Diane. The most recent time, I walked in for my appointment. The woman before me was late. So I ended up waiting 20 minutes for her to finish her nails. When she started mine a solid 20 mins later, she didn't bother to clean my nails, file them, nothing. IMMEDIATELY she started putting tips and acrylic rushed and made my nails VERY tiny to the point where my true nails were sticking out the sides of the acrylic. She quickly got up and told me to "let the acrylic dry" WHILE SHE WENT AND WORKED ON A WOMAN WHO CAME IN AFTER ME. She completed her toes and nail and 30 mins later came back to finish my nails while they were "drying" I asked her to fix it she said yes, and DID NOT fix them. She just over looked it and I didn't say anything. She kept telling me how pretty they were even though she knew I was very unsatisfied with the work and the full experience. By the time I sat down to dry my polish the woman she worked on after me had finished drying her nails and was walking out the door. A week later I called back to get my nails replaced I live 2 hours way and was going to be 10 mins late Lucy (the owner i think) told me No if I could please drive faster she would appreciate and I canceled and told them i'll never be going back. The man didn't even measure my nails so my nails on my left side came out wayyy shorter! He then tried fixing them by adding more acrylic and well that didn't work. ~long post~ I've been coming here for years off and on and have the same person do my nails every time. Majority of the time I'm satisfied NOT TODAY. I went in for a full set,while getting my nails done one of the employees who is sitting in a pedicure chair sneezed DOES NOT cover her face just sneezed out in the air (with all this coronavirus going on) I said something and was told not to say anything because she (nail tech)could get in trouble! A woman finished with her pedicure takes her toe separators off and leaves them on the counter where customers wash their hands. I said something about that and was told AGAIN not to say anything leave it alone THAT IS UNSANITARY! THEN the nail tech rinsed the tools off that were used on this woman's pedicure wrapped them in white paper towel and put them in the "sterilizer" that wasn't even turned on. I proceed with my nails and I messed my nail up , the nail tech got mad (I apologized for moving around)and told me to SIT AND BE QUIET! I asked her. Did you just tell me to be quiet!?! She told me I was doing to much and talking about things that were out of her control and to just be quiet! THE OLD ME WOULD VE WALKED OUT AFTER CURSING HER OUT! BUT. I allowed her to finish. I also had her do my pedicure. I was quoted $54 for my nails and pedi. I paid. I get home and look at the brochure that has their prices for their services and it says full set $25 and up so I call and speak with the owner Lucy and ask her about my services and she says oh! I have been coming to this place for seven years due to its location one minute from my house. I have brought many, many friends here over the years. Last week, I got my upper lip waxed. I notice a lot of people on yelp saying the place is dirty and not properly sanitized. That must be true because I got a HORRIBLE infection that made my lip swell up and crack and bleed. Worst part was when one of the employees, sat in the chair next to me with no shoes on and proceeded to stuff her face with a giant sub sandwhich while sitting in the pedicure chair that they serve customers in. I do not recommend this place AT ALL. Had a full set of "gel nails" put on last Tuesday 12/24/13, and they are already chipping and lifting on the sides. I asked for them to be very short and had to filing myself when I got home because the tech would no go short enough for me. Left a ton of overlap on the nails- a 5 year old could have done better!! I chose a color and when 1 nail was painted I thought that I didn't like it and asked to see another one. I liked the second color but while they were already putting second color I noticed that the bottle of first polish was not the color I asked and after they were done with second color I realized that it was also not the one I asked and not even same brand of polish. I can't imagine anything is properly sanitized. In fact, my technicians tools were just sitting in a Dunkin Donuts cup. Everywhere I looked there were dirty towels, wax on the floor and cluttered stations. Yet the technicians without clients were just sitting on their phones on the pedicure chairs instead of tidying the place up. To top it off, my gel manicure started peeling the very next day. There is no way we are reviewing the same place. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. If you need a place to go, contact me, I have the BEST lady. Anyway.. My friend took me here, otherwise I would have ran out immediately after opening the door. You have about 5 seconds to pick a color before they seat you. Sat in a chair for my pedicure and it was broken, so was the one next to me. Did they care... nope. The nail technician barely touched my feet and I'm thankful since the utensils were dirty. My stomach turned when she put the dirty pumice stone to the bottom of my feet. I was grateful she hardly pressed it against my skin. When she wasn't touching my feet she was dropping sharp tools on them and of course, the floor. She then painted my entire toe, never mind the streaks left behind. I thought it would get better with a new nail tech for my gel manicure. I welcomed her with open arms until she put my hand in ice cold water to soak. My nails are jagged and guess what, the GEL PEELED OFF LESS THAN A WEEK LATER. WASTE OF MONEY plus I stared at overflowing cans of garbage followed by an UNFRIENDLY STAFF made this experience one of the WORST I HAVE EVER HAD. Why waste your money and your experience here? I'm just so unhappy with the way this place is run. I will not be returning. The colors they have on the samples for dip do not match up with what they have labeled in the back. They painted my nails the wrong color TWICE. The first time it wasn't a huge color difference so I decided to just rock what they gave me and not make a big deal. Now the second time I picked a deep burgundy and I noticed it was coming out bright stop sign red so I mentioned that it was looking very bright compared to the color I chose. The nail tech assured me that it would get darker when it dries so I let it play out. He finished and then I asked him to bring me the dip color samples. He did in annoyance as if I was just trying to change my mind. He brought it over and I showed him the color difference and the workers spoke in their native language and he came over with a new color and painted right on top of what he had done without saying a word, didn't even bother to remove the mistake. Now the last time I visited was the worst in my opinion. As they were removing my dip from the last time they mention the price for the service which was higher than what I had been paying so I asked why it was more money now and she says that they're charging me extra money because my nails are longer and it uses up more product !!! What ?!?? It costs the same amount of extra money to make short nails longer which requires more product and time than just doing my naturally long nails. Now I'm a little frustrated because they've already made several mistakes with me as a customer and now they want to charge me extra !!!??? Visibly annoyed I was asked to move to a different station so I went to grab my purse and the lady goes no I'll get it and stops me. I'm sorry but I'm not comfortable with anyone touching my personal belongings and what happens? She grabs it with the powdery hands from just removing my dip and drops it on the floor. I knew it was an accident but the issue is my personal belongings fell out and were damaged. I tell her it's ok, grab my stuff, wipe down my purse of the powdery handprints and get on with it. Then I show my nail tech the color I want and she tells me it may turn out to be a different color. How about no. How about this is the color I pick and if I get a different color I don't pay $50 for something I didn't ask for. I change the color and tell her I will do this color if it comes out the way you display. She did it. It was great. That's one thing the nails always come out great but the service and function of this place is terrible. But if you go- just go with Vee ! He's amazing and I've never had an issue with his services. AVOID!!! Walked in and asked for a manicure with a removal of shellac polish first. The nail technician took out a DRILL and began drilling the surface of my nail. OUCH!!! Ran out of there quickly. Find another place where nail technicians have some training instead!!! read more
