The venue feels very safe, with bag checks and scanners at the entrance. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The theater itself has excellent acoustics and a large stage. There is always something exciting on the schedule, and ticket prices are usually reasonable. It's a great option for a family outing, date night, girls' night, or even a solo treat. Doors open about an hour before showtime, with access to the theater seating available 30 minutes prior.

We were very lucky as their calendar was filling up fast for Spring 2016, but May 7 was still available. Although we had not heard them personally (we live out of state) we booked Airwave and were in for quite a treat. Working with Ted could not have been easier. We had concerns due to the layout of Union Terminal (our ceremony and dancing were in one room and dinner in another). Ted worked directly with our venue to coordinate the setup, breakdown, sound systems and other small details. Additionally, he put us in contact with his keyboardist, Joel Crabtree, to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. In advance of the wedding, Ted had us review the song list and highlight any music we definitely did or did not want to hear, as well as identify our first dance, father-daughter and mother-son songs. This was great as he made sure we heard the genre and style of music our guests would most enjoy. The day of the wedding was nothing short of amazing. The band arrived to setup and Joel did an excellent job during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Then, the real fun started. We had told Airwave that our guests would be a party crowd and to make sure they stayed on the dance floor. They did that and so much more. They played all the music we requested, including a specially prepared version of "The Hora" that transitioned into Rocky Top. These little touches made the night extra special and our dance floor was full the whole night with guests, young and old. Not just being a "fun" wedding band, Airwave is also very talented. The different members of the band allow them to perform all different genres, from Motown to country and everything in between. Our guests all commented how impressed they were with the band. Airwave certainly met and exceeded all our expectations and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band in the future.

This was my visit to this theatre based out of an old church, but it won't be my last. One warning, though: church pews, even with cushions, get uncomfortable during a 90 minute show without an intermission. I would suggest the movie theatre seats instead.

Bogart's is a classic music venue where you can actually see bands in relatively close quarters…read more There are some VIP and seated areas available, but the venue is overwhelmingly a general admission space. While this can be harder for the older venue-goers like myself, I found it a bit refreshing to be able to jump into the throng, fight for a spot, and lose myself a little enjoying the bands up close. It was nice to be free of the seated mega-venues for a change. Bogart's offers a couple bar spaces with all the offerings you would expect including bagged snacks. I was not amazed by the specialty drinks on my last foray, so I might stick with the typical well cocktails on my next visit. Security was pretty aggressive at the entrance, so you might want to leave the purses and bags at home. They were even flagging things like pens, which seemed like a bit much. Parking in the Short Vine area can be a little tricky. There is mostly street parking and a couple lots, but they can be a bit on the pricey side even for just a few hours.

Had a remote consultation for a sci-fi story I've got up on Wattpad that features hip-hop/the…read moreentertainment industry and the end of the United States at the tail-end of the 21st century. I basically wanted to explore some options for bonus audio material including a group performance and recording my narration of the story to upload to Spotify. The meeting was on time, correspondence leading up to the phone conversation was great, and the person I talked to seemed to know a lot about what might motivate my target audience. That said, I didn't enjoy the consultation itself. As an artist, for me, there's more to the creative process than just talking about logistics. I don't think that this studio is the right fit for my project. That said, I wish Timeless all the best. They're clearly a good fit for other artists.
