Always an amazing experience here! I recently saw The Lion King, and it was absolutely stunning from start to finish. They offer themed merchandise tied to each production, which is such a fun touch for fans. There are also plenty of concessions available, including snacks and alcoholic beverages. I had a glass of wine (a double pour, and surprisingly affordable), along with popcorn and chocolate-covered raisins. The popcorn wasn't the freshest, but it was still yummy. The venue feels very safe, with bag checks and scanners at the entrance. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The theater itself has excellent acoustics and a large stage. There is always something exciting on the schedule, and ticket prices are usually reasonable. It's a great option for a family outing, date night, girls' night, or even a solo treat. Doors open about an hour before showtime, with access to the theater seating available 30 minutes prior. read more

We live about an hour away, so hadn't been to the Aronoff Center in over 20 years until going to see Complexions Contemporary Ballet last night. I'm happy to see that it has been kept up so well over the years, it's beautiful! It was an A+ visit from start to finish. Ordering and accessing digital tickets was a breeze, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the show was outstanding! We have a fantastic arts center in Dayton that we have broadway season's tickets to and attend other performing arts shows as well, but we will definitely be back to see shows at the Aronoff from time to time now that we had such a fantastic evening out! read more

Just had my first experience at the Aronoff and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We attended the Hamilton show on January 4th, 2026. We had brunch at Nicholson's across the street then walked over and entered the venue at Noon. The check-in process was quick and easy. They had several Hamilton banners through the lobby area to get photos before the show. Right after checking in, you hit the merchandise booth where they had a large selection of items for purchase such as shirts, sweaters, and tons of accessories (I'm sure this various by production so keep that in mind). We took the elevator to the loge level (steps are available as well) and took a seat to relax a bit before they opened the doors to the theater. An attendant approached us and mentioned that our niece would need a booster seat and showed us where we could grab one - this was an incredible display of customer service and that remained true throughout our whole time at the Aronoff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They really made you feel welcome and that was a highlight of our experience. They offer light concessions such as drinks, themed cocktails and candy. I would recommend eating at one of the many options around the Aronoff prior to your event or after. The doors opened, we took our playbills and found our seats. The show was phenomenal. This was my first time seeing a musical and I loved it! The stage and venue is spectacular as well. We will definitely be back! We just bought tickets to see the Lion King in July. This was my first time seeing a musical here. I had a nostalgic feeling to just go watch The Lion King because it related to my childhood, and I'm so glad I did! The singing, costumes, movement, and talent was superb! The facilities are nice and in the center of the city located near lots of restaurants, bars, and other things to do to make a full day of being in downtown. The staff was very friendly. This is my first time I had some questions about where things are located and they were willing to help or walk me to the location. The one thing I do not like is how the roads are continuous, and there is no middle section stairs, so every time a person needs to come in or go out over the road if you're not seated in the center, you're going to have to get up. Other than that, I would definitely recommend going to see a show. read more

I always have the most magical evenings at the Aronoff. The venue is sublime. What makes it so special are the people who work there. Each person I interact with is lovely, helpful, kind, and friendly. I've seen some of the most interesting people perform or visit Cincinnati at the Aronoff (David Sedaris, Jerry Seinfeld) and it makes Cincinnati feel like an important stop on the map. We arrived early to pick-up our tickets. Once we were up the steps, we were able to purchase merchandise and drinks with ease. Kelley working at the concessions was super nice and helped with suggesting a few drink options. My only complaint is how small it feels. It wasn't close to selling out and it was hard to use the bathroom during the intermission. Also, when you're sitting there isn't much arm space. Still a great show, though! read more

The Aronoff is a good venue. The process to gain entrance was simple and quick. The lobby areas on each level offer plenty of space to relax before the doors to the theater open. The seats are a little tight. We sat in the very last row and were still able to fully enjoy the performance. The theater is surrounded by a myriad of restaurants, which helps make for a pleasant evening out on the town. Indoor parking is available just a block away. I've been here twice and will gladly return in the future. read more

Great large open central gathering area outside of the actual theater and stage. Plenty of space for people to gather before heading to their ticketed seat; it would be great if the Ohio Theater in Columbus had a bigger central gathering space like this. Inside the theater, there's two balconies above the main floor with special side seating; looks to be perfect for a special night out! Teared seating, which made it fairly easy to see in between spectators the row in front of me. Beautiful ornate detail all around, both on the walls and ceiling. The The sophisticated sculpturing in front of the side balconies is glam in the best sense. There's tons more events - theater, sports, food, concerts, etc. - going on throughout downtown Cincinnati every weekend (a HUGE bonus compared to Columbus!), so there's ample parking all around, both garage and metered street all around using the Park Mobile app. Cincinnati has a phenomenal nod to the past and present and has done a fantastic job preserving that time-honored tradition! read more

I've been here a few times. Years ago I saw a few musicals here. My most recent trip was to a comedy show. Tommy Bunz had been in Louisville a few weeks prior but I couldn't get seats close enough so I decided to make the trip to Cincinnati. Besides, if we're ever going to find the bodies that Garth is hiding, we need to check everywhere. Where are the bodies Garth! The families deserve to know. I like this venue a ton. Like... touch my camera through the fence a ton. Other venues like this tend to seem large and spread out. While the Aronoff has plenty of seats(around 3,000 I believe), it is one of the more intimate theatres I've been in. They definitely built this venue utilizing what space they had to the fullest extent. The check-in process was great. You don't have to hunt for the merchandise because there aren't many places for the merch booth to be set up. The lines for drinks and snacks are efficient. You're not going to be standing in line for dozens of minutes. It kind of sucks that they didn't have any banana splits for this show... ay yayayay. The staff is also attentive. Sometimes giving you guidance even when you haven't asked. You should try it. Act like you're walking into a wall... they'll stop you from hurting yourself. The place is clean. Clean enough that there was a guy taking a drink of water out of the restroom faucet. Although, that could've been because this was the 'I'm Coming Everywhere' tour. Tom has been spreading himself all over the country so the dude could've just been washing his mouth out. I was in the third row and I have to give kudos to the staff during the show. There was a guy obliviously wasted in the front row. Luckily, he passed out and was sleeping by the time Tom came out. As soon as the staff saw him, they sent in a medic/other staff to bring him out. You would think that would be disruptive. It wasn't at all. It didn't even derail Tom. He worked it into his act and kept right on going. Masterful. There's another plus for this venue. It helps that this venue is in the middle of downtown. You can make a day of your show at the Aronoff. There are plenty of museums and places to eat in the surrounding area. If your favorite musical or act comes through here... don't hesitate to attend. read more

What a beautiful space and surprisingly large seating area. The stadium style seating in the orchestra level provided great visibility of the stage. When purchasing tickets, only a few have partially obstructed view. Snacks and drinks available for purchase before the show and during intermission. Street parking is limited considering it's downtown location but nearby lots are available. My husband and I saw Tina last night (Tuesday) and it was wonderful! Will definitely recommend catching it; it's playing until Nov. 6th 2022. Looking forward to more shows in the near future! read more

Last night was my first show at the Aronoff Center ... and I'm already planning to see another play soon! My fiancé and I attended opening night of Broadway in Cincinnati's "My Fair Lady," and loved everything about it. Before the show even began, we were struck by how big the theater felt ... but once the curtains were drawn, it felt much more intimate. The set design truly drew us in, and the singing and acting was superb. The sound and lighting too just built upon the story ... this was easily one of the best shows I've been to. Because it was opening night, the Aronoff Center was extremely busy ... I wouldn't be surprised if they'd sold out the theater. We had to park a few blocks away and walk ... but still managed to get to our seats with about 10 minutes until showtime. I would recommend planning ahead if you're coming to any show, regardless of the day of the week. Even though the Center was busy, security checked our vaccination cards and bags quickly and efficiently. Everyone was masked up, per the theater's requirements, which did make me feel safe in crowd so large. I can't wait to check out another show at the Aronoff, sooner rather than later! read more

Moving here from Dayton and their Schuster Center, my expectations are high. And they were met. I think it's warmer and acoustics better than Schuster. Saw Wicked this weekend, and while I've seen it many times, this was the best production ever. Sound, lighting, getting people in their seats were all flawlessly executed. And unlike the Schuster they are checking vaccination cards. It's important with the new variant spreading at alarming rates. At peak times there are even ushers helping to move that line around in the restroom. We've all been there and know what's that like. It worked beautifully. My only complaint was long lines at the bar. We just skipped that and drank later. read more

We came here recently to see My Fair Lady, and the performance was amazing! The venue itself is also excellent. It's not so large, so seats in the back on the first floor are also good. The ushers are helpful and friendly, and I appreciate that the Aronoff requires masks and vaccination cards. There are so many attendees who are older, it's just the right thing to do for their safety. I love that you can enjoy a glass of wine before the show. You can also pre-order and pay for drinks so that they're ready at intermission. Then you don't have to wait in line to order and pay. Just find your drinks labeled with your name on it on the counter to the side of the bar! The bartenders are always nice too! One note: if you want to use the bathroom during intermission, get an aisle seat and exit as quickly as you can! The line is long, though it does move pretty quickly! read more

We are so blessed in Cincinnati to have such a fantastic theatre where you can escape for awhile. I recently saw the play Come From Away which depict the small town of Gander and its citizens on 9/11 when over 35 aircraft landed when America airspace was closed. It's such an uplifting show especially when so much sadness and hurt was going on in the world. The Aronoff is gorgeous and there isn't a bad seat in the place. We visited the Aronoff Center last night for the Wizard of Oz ballet. This was an unforgettable experience! We are so lucky to have such a venue to house our ballet and broadway productions. The theater is beautiful with top-notch entertainment, the seats are comfortable, the bar lines and restroom lines move quickly and all of the staff are so friendly. The acoustics are fantastic and there doesn't appear to be a bad seat in the house. We were in the orchestra section and had a perfect view of the stage and dancers. It's within walking distance of several restaurants, so it's perfect for making a full evening of dining and a show. If you haven't been to a show at the Aronoff Center I highly recommend giving it a visit soon. read more

It's a beautiful theater but there is no leg room and the seats are narrow. I sat in the lodge and felt so claustrophobic that I didn't return for the second half. The ladies rooms don't have near enough stalls and it's impossible for everyone in line at intermission to get through before the second act begins. read more

The Aronoff center is beautiful. It's older, but feels so classic and classy. This was my second time here, with the first time seeing Wicked and this time Anastasia. The staff (and maybe some volunteers?) here are courteous and always seem to be serving with smiles. The center itself is close to a variety of restaurants and parking, valet if you choose as well. Getting through security was quick and easy, as well as getting tickets scanned. Be sure you leave plenty of time in your commute, as they do close the doors promptly at the start of a show and won't let you in until after the first scene to avoid disrupting it for others in the audience. And please please turn off your phones or put them on airplane mode so you don't ruin a wonderful moment with a ring or buzz. 10/10 recommend coming to this theatre to see a show! read more

One of the reasons I love living in the Greater Cincinnati area is that the city is a manageable size that still provides a variety of quality cultural events. Many of these events occur at the Aronoff. The space has multiple theaters and is comfortable. Some events are very pricey for sure, but I believe the administration and booking staff is trying to bring in diverse events for this space. read more

It would be crazy to imagine Cincinnati without the Aronoff. In many ways it's our most stable leg to stand on when we make the claim that Cincinnati, "has a hometown feel yet world-class cultural events and performing arts." The Aronoff is certainly a world-class venue. I had the pleasure of seeing CMT's, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" in the Jarson-Kaplan Theatre of the Aronoff. It has only ~470 seats (compared to P&G Hall's ~2700) but it really has the same quality of sound and great views. Without getting too much into why I loved that particular production (I'm biased, my partner played in the pit orchestra) I really felt like the venue itself enhanced the show. I'm a historical architecture purist. While I have to say that the Aronoff certainly isn't a grand, old performance venue like Music Hall... its modernist-but-high-end design and updated layout fulfills an important role for the city. If the Aronoff could just step up their intermission drink game a bit, I'd say that they're closing in on perfection! read more

I've been here a few times for University of Cincinnati's medical school. It's a really nice space. You can tell it's an older venue as the carpets in the lobby are green and the bathrooms look old. They were clean though. I really liked the theater itself. So many seats. I couldn't stop looking at the ceiling. The lights were just so pretty! The people who work here are also very nice. They open those heavy doors and chit chat with folks standing in the lobby. When I was waiting for relatives to arrive for the med school's graduation, one of the ladies was quick to open the door for us. They are so attentive ! It would be fun to come back and watch a performance next time. It's great! read more

This is a well designed building which has plenty of staff to handle the influx of people. You can take your wine, coffee (they even had decaf!), or water into the theater. The bathroom line was fast. The seats were comfortable and easy to find. The sound was good even though we were near the back. You can order drinks ahead for intermission. I won tickets to see "The Play That Goes Wrong" through an Elite event and really enjoyed my time! It's the first time I've been to the Aronoff and sat toward the rear orchestra and the sound was still excellent. As always, I feel the seats could use a replacement and the theater could be modernized some (like may some cup holders which may be tacky for theater, but it's hard holding a wine glass for 2 hours; perhaps I should drink faster), but all in all a good experience. The play itself is HILARIOUS!!! You feel like you're really a part of it with crowd interaction and the cast was great. If you have a chance to see it during the run, check it out. read more
