Turns out when looking for tassels and chachkis, Grant Avenue is the street to stroll. At Jing Ying, she found these ornamental tassels with opaque beads that will be part of her art. There's calendars, Bruce Lee posters and all kinds of stuff here. We met a nice lady who helped us without pushing us to buy anything. Prices are fairly comparable with other shops in the area. We've kept looking everywhere afterwards, but this place turned out to be our best find!

The store is filled with unique novelties, stickers, books, greeting cards, artwork, and gifts that capture the nostalgia, humor, and experiences of being Asian American. Every corner had something that made me smile or brought back a memory. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but you're supporting local Asian artists and creators. However, I believe their prices were reasonable for a souvenir shop in a touristy city in a touristy area. The staff were helpful and the store itself was clean and well organized. It was pretty small though, which is usual for any San Francisco unit. Overall, I think it is a good place to shop for souvenirs, although not all products are related to the area or the local culture.

After stopping at many different ones they all start to look alike at what they are offering - this was our last stop before heading to our car to leave. We peeked inside not looking for anything in particular. One of the highlights of this shop is the collection of unique San Francisco- themed items. We saw these novelty shirts and saw that the pricing was very reasonable. The quality was decent too, not thin material. All the other stores sold shirts too but this was the only store that we actually noticed for the price. We grabbed 3 of our sizes and paid for them. The gal let me know of the 3% add'l fee for using a credit card. Still definitely a great deal in Chinatown! There is nothing special about the shop other than how there are so many things crammed inside and the chirpy bubbly attendant or owner, but given how so many area businesses have shut down and disappeared it is rare finding anything else around here. It is near the Tenderloin and all the junkies, but also near the cable car ride where many visitors converge. For California branded items even for children, postcards and other cheap presents this is a good spot. There is another shop with a similar name nearer the water so do not confuse the two.

You will see hoodies and bucket hats which displays San Francisco. They also have mugs and bags along with keychains and magnets which says San Francisco. It seems like tourist like wearing gear that says San Francisco more than locals ( locals like wearing ironic symbols and logos of SF with nicknames of San Francisco). I like to get small, reasonable mementos here, from small Chinese coins, figurines, to nice little wall hangings and luxurious Pashmina and Cashmere Shawls/Scarfs. Although her selection is eclectic and not the largest, and the presentation in this small space is lacking, She always has some of the best prices of like items in other Tourist Trap stores on the main drag on Grant Avenue.
