I got takeout from here because it was the only thing I could find open after a night of drinking. I walked it and placed my order and the people working were very friendly. I only had to wait about 5 minutes before my food was ready and I was on my way. I got chicken tikka masala with rice. I can't say I was a huge fan because it was very sweet. That's not usually what I expect with tikka. It wasn't bad at all, just a different variation (and I know variations of flavor are common based on local norms, regional differences, etc.). Overall, the food was tasty and I finished it all. Quick and you get a pretty hearty portion. I would check it out if you find yourself in the area and need some food. read more

Ordered a meal for myself and my wife. Starter and Main came to about 16 euro each. Waited almost 50 minutes for food, which arrived luke warm, and far from hot. A sad statement since we live about a 5 minute drive away. The food was overall quite bland. Nan-bread was doughy. Madras was without spice at all. Bland and very boring. Samosas lacked spices/herbs, except the salt/spice combo sprinkled on top. Also one of the few places around that will serve a curry without rice or bread included. Blergh. I ordered a delivery here today and their Chicken Tikka Masala was so sweet, it could easily have been passed on as a dessert. Now, I'm not craving something very spicy--but spicy or flavourful enough to not be sweet at least. Needless to say, I won't be ordering here again. While in Ireland we had the hankering for Indian food for dinner. This fast food take out was slammed with orders and even though we had called ahead for a to go order it took them about 35 minutes to prepare our meals. The serving size was crazy big for both the Curry Chicken and the Vegetarian dish. The time issue set aside, this was a very good choice as far as food goes. You can tell that the locals love this place by the sheer volume and rate that the staff was processing their orders and getting them out with multiple delivery men. Best takeaway in Dublin, in my opinion. Amazing food, very helpful in catering to dietary requirements, such as dairy free, sugar free, etc. Take away only, but open until 3am, very handy if you live around Smithfield or The Batter. 2 Stars based on Yelp's little narrative ("Meh. I've experienced better"). I ordered the Chicken Makhani (Butter Chicken) and the Lamb Saag. The entrees are €10 each and don't include rice or naan. Hardly the end of the world, but most places charge €10-11 and include boiled rice or naan for free. The Chicken Makhani - Ordered medium spicy, but it fell flat when it came to spice. Most places usually just take some of their tandoori chicken and toss it in the sauce, or they'll use diced chicken breast (cheating, but at least it can be tasty). This place used a rather flavorless and greasy chicken, and there was only about as much meat as a large thigh (at most). The Lamb Saag - Ordered medium spicy, also flat. Normally medium spicy makes my nose run, but I was nowhere near that. There was more lamb meat than my chicken had, but still only about 6 or so bites (to be fair, they were about 1cu inch each) and the rest was the spinach. Naan was alright. Much thicker than I'm used to, but that's not a pro/con (though it did break weird when trying to dip), and I didn't open the rice so I can't judge on that. Given the other options nearby or through delivery, this is a pass for me. read more

By 11.30 the food still hadn't arrived, so I called the take out and they said that the person on the front desk had finished their shift when they took our order and they didn't put it through properly! Got take away from here and i liked it. Reasonably priced and decent sized portions unlike some other indians ive got before. The food was good and they gave me so much i ate some the next day. It reheated really well and still tasted great. read more

Was absolutely starving on Sunday evening and ordered a meal from here. Estimated delivery was 45 minutes, but the order took more than twice as long as was estimated. I was waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes for my food! After an hour of waiting, I called to see what the story was. The restaurant said the order had just left and was on its way. This turned out to be a lie because I live 15 minutes from Namaste and I was left waiting another 45 minutes before the food arrived. No apology/ concession offered. After all that the food was disappointing. The garlic naan was soggy and chewy and the saag paneer mediocre. Really wouldn't order from here again. read more

Ordered food from Namaste on Just Eat last night! it is the BEST indian I have had in Dublin. The portions were generous and they included some complimentary pappadums as well as extra dips and a free naan bread even though we just got a load of starters between us! The food was amazing, really delicious, it was the best onion bhaji that I have had since I moved to dublin 2 years ago. I will be ordering from here over and over I think :D read more

Utterly disgusting... I ordered a take away chicken vindaloo from Namaste, never, ever again. The base of the sauce was definitely more than a couple of days old and tasted very off. The base of the sauce was infused and or garnished with mint instead of coriander probably to hide the fact that the sauce had turned. The vindaloo contained only a little amount of cubed and dry chicken, compared to the amount of sauce. I pulled a 3 inch black hair out of the bottom of the container. read more

I walk buy this takeaway place every single day and I never really made much of it. It never seems to have any customers and it is very, emmmmh, basic looking. So one evening I saw the specials board and said I'd give it a go. On offer was the balti curry which came with rice, naan, poppadoms and a couple of dips. This feast came to a grand total of €9.99!!!! The standard was very good too, it was quiet authentic and not like the cheap Indian takeaways I remember from years back. The service was also very friendly and quick. This is a great spot to pick up a good value lazy meal in, I'll be back ;-) read more

Since moving to the Smithfield area, we've tried this take-away a few times. I'm not really au-fait with Indian food (too much spice scares me - I like it, but sadly my tummy disagrees), so I was happy that their menu gives a little description of what the dishes are and how spicy/mild they are. With this in mind, I've stuck to the Prawn Korma each time we've ordered, probably not very adventurous on my part, but better the divil you know, etc... And it's sooo tasty, the prawns are firm and juicy and the sauce is creamy and rich and delicious, and plenty of it too. My boyfriend's been more brave, trying out the Chicken Saag and the Lamb Rogan Josh, and a few other who's names escapre me, now he likes Indian food and loves ordering from here. Their rice is lovely too, we only order the plain/boiled/white rice, but it's kinda fresh and herby tasting.... lovely! The staff and delivery guys are all friendly too. My only bum-note is that it's a liiiiittle spendy compared to a fish n'chip dinner (they have a daily special for about e9.95), but it's so worth it, I rarely finish my full portion...til I reheat the leftovers the next day! :-) All in all, a really nice takeaway, lovely food and pleasant staff. Just from looking at the place, you would not be too excited to order there. But the food is pretty damn good. I really like the Tikka Masala Lamb, and order it every time. The Mango Lassi is also nice. They have their own app, which is terrible, hence I stick to other ordering apps. I'd highly recommend this place for take out. read more

Disgusting food, and incompetent staff. Delivered the entirely wrong meal(grilled chicken plate ordered, they delivered a fried chicken wrap), and when I called in to explain and ask for them to just deliver the item I ordered, the rude staff talked loudly about it thinking I couldn't hear them on the phone and said I didn't like the way they cooked their food..completely misinterpreting the situation. It took them hours to get their shite together to deliver me the correct meal, and when they did it looked like someone had gotten sick all over it. Terrible food, and terrible to deal with. At 6, we ordered a vegetarian set meal for 2. When I rang them at 7:30; they said the food was on its way. The food arrived at 8, with 2 missing items. I rang the delivery person to tell them that 2 items were missing and he told me he'd get back to me. At 8:40, the restaurant called to ask if I wanted to just put the money towards my next order. I asked them to simply refund the money for the missing items, and they told me they'd have to physically bring me the cash rather than refund my card payment, so I asked them to just bring the items instead. They said they'd be back to the house with the missing items in 40 minutes. At 10, they called again to say the items were ready but wanted to know if I just wanted to put the money towards my next order with them, which I had refused to do an hour and a half previously. I told them that I would not be ordering from them again, and just wanted the money back. They did not apologise or offer any concession; instead, they blamed the rain. The rain. In Dublin. At 11:45 pm, the delivery person showed up with the refund for the two missing items. This is, hands down, the worst experience I have ever had ordering delivery from any restaurant in any location ever. If Yelp let me give them 0 stars, I would. Stay away. read more

We stumbled across this place while in Dublin on holiday. Delicious! The food was fresh, and the hostess and cooks were very friendly. I can't remember what we ordered exactly - one vegetarian dish with eggplant and potatoes that was pretty mild, and then a spicier chicken dish. Great Indian cuisine with decent menu choices.....

Waited for 50 minutes for order to arrive, only rices delivered, no main meals. Called to ask where rest of food was, no apology, were told WE got the order wrong, but rest of our missing order would arrive within 15 minutes. It's been over an hour and no sign. And we stupidly tipped the delivery guy 4 euros!!!! Never ordering from these guys again. read more
