Odra was my massage therapist, she asked if I'd like her to focus on any specific areas of my body. I asked her to spend more time on my neck and upper back and she did. I had the most amazing massage experience at this place with Marisol, the owner, about a year ago. It was such a good massage/experience that I had to come back. Although I never purchased any other service aside from the massages, the different reiki services they offer seem very interesting. The atmosphere and vibe of this place is very relaxing. They offer you tea as you are waiting to be called in. Adriana did my massage this time and she did a great job. She was very nice and sweet. When she brought me in, she asked me if there were certain areas that were bothering me. She asked me what my preference was with the pressure being applied. She really worked on the tense areas. Overall, just a great experience. The only thing is it is a little pricey. However I can't complain much about that considering my experience there is always great, and that is expected considering the area it is located in. read more

I've driven past Namaste numerous times and finally tried out their 1 hour facial with Marlene. The atmosphere is super warm and welcoming. Marlene made the experience so enjoyable. She listened to my skin problems and tailored the products for what I needed. The facial was a mix of skincare, massage and pressure points. Pure relaxation. Yesterday I had my 3rd massage with Odra but I knew after my 1st that I'd be writing a 5* review. The massages I've received from Odra are the best I've ever had -- I have my next two appointments booked and I've never been motivated to book consistent massages before. What Odra is incredibly skilled at is tailoring the massage to your body and its needs. Each massage has been slightly different and I feel that Odra actually pays attention to my muscles and how they are reacting to her touch. I always have very tight traps, lower back and quads. My first massage focused on these areas, of course, but didn't skimp on integrating the more intense work with the whole of the massage. Each time Odra moves to a different area, I think 'omg how did you know to focus there?!'. While each other time I've gone I've said the same 'traps/back/quads', Odra has used my feedback to turn her skills to my shoulders, pecs, it band... and, of course, *those* areas have alleviated the tension I felt in the places I first mentioned to her. Odra's work is deeply relaxing, restorative, and therapeutic. There is nothing basic or repetitive about a session with her and you'll never feel that she is on autopilot or gives the same massage to every client. The spa itself is a nice, quiet space -- it's not a day spa so you do come for your appointment time only. For those not familiar with Ridgewood, parking is utterly stressful so leave more time than you think to find parking and figure out the meter system. Namaste was originally recommended to me by my sister-in-law who had regular pregnancy massages and I do know they are known for this service. The space itself is quiet, appointments are spaced well so you never feel rushed, nor is the spa crowded. Mask and shoe protocols are still active; practitioners wear masks but clients do not need to in their service room. There is competition in Ridgewood with regard to massage/spas and Namaste is a cut above -- I sense most of their business is word of mouth and devotion to the practitioners, but if you've had an average/rushed/rote/loud experience at the spa literally down the street, as I have, Namaste will restore your faith in a spa focused on its clients and their well being. read more

It took me 5 months to use the gift card I got for Mothers Day and I left saying "why didn't I do this sooner?" Namaste is a soothing oasis in the middle of downtown Ridgewood. Serene music, herbal scents, and peace are in the air as you check in. I had "the ultimate facial." It should probably be done more than once every 3 years but it definitely made up for lost time. It was more interactive than relaxing as Natalia asked me questions about my skin and regimen and then explained the rationale behind each treatment she did. I left feeling fresher and my tired mom face got a boost. She provided a list of the products she used with no pressure to buy which I appreciated. Tip- stressing about parking kills your vibe. Go on Sunday when it's free or just download the parking app and max out the time so you don't have to worry. I had my first visit to Namaste two days ago and I am still feeling loose and relaxed! I booked a body wrap and massage with Manny online last minute (a day before my appointment). I read good reviews about the spa beforehand but hadn't read anything about him so I crossed my fingers that it would be okay. It was one of the best massages I have ever had. Every single kink was worked out and I left with zero tension (and I went in with A LOT- so much that it hurt to walk). He knows what he is doing and will talk to you first to understand where you are in your body. It was really great. This was the first time I have tried a body wrap and it was one hour. My skin was soft before but it is beyond baby soft now. I keep touching my arms. It was also really relaxing because you are wrapped in heated blankets and you get really cosy. I will definitely come back to Namaste and am bringing my mom in for a massage as well. Every one who was in there while I Was in there came out looking glowy and relaxed, complimenting their masseuse (makes sense as you can see from the other reviews). Had an amazing experience today at namaste spa. My sisters and I planned a spa day and we were so happy that we chose namaste. From the moment we waked in the vibe was so zen and relaxing. The front desk girl was very sweet and offered us tea and water. We felt very welcomed. I had a facial with Catherine and she was really good plus her personality was great as well. She took her time, was knowledgeable and relaxed me with her magical hands. I noticed the difference in my skin after she was done. My two sisters got massages with Elizabeth and Erica which they loved too and my friend had reiki work done with Erika B. and said she was amazing. On a whim and feeling achy, I yelped some local spas and was able to make a same-day appointment for a massage at Namaste. Being that it was last minute they only had a 30 minute time-slot, which, to me, was better than nothing. Namaste is smaller than the usual spas I'm used to and comprised of a few rooms and a quiet area to sit and drink some delicious loose-leaf tea. My 30-minute massage was more like 40 minutes and I felt so relaxed and pampered I returned for the same treatment the next day! I came for a 1 hour deep tissue sports massage and I wasn't disappointed. Lynda, my masseuse, was great! She was very thorough and worked on all my knots. I'm not a Ridgewood type of person, but I received a gift certificate to Namaste for a Namaste massage. Gunjan gave me the best massage I've had in NJ. I was direct when I told her about my athletic activity level. Instead of getting one of those sweet little "you look like a fragile little bird, so I'm barely going to touch you" type of massages, I got exactly what I needed. She also directed me through my breathing, which any yoga student knows is very helpful in sending the breath towards the ache. Not being a Ridgewood type of person, I think the price is high for an hour long massage (95.00), but I hope I get another gift certificate there for Christmas! Ridgewood doesn't have free street parking, so take quarters to feed the meter before going in. read more
