The owner is fun and knowledgeable and has great tastes in many things. Single-origin dark chocolates, raw and vegan goodies including food and cosmetic products, soaps made by Japanese Rastafarians (I know!), scarves and sarongs made from recycled saris, olive oils from the deserts of the middle east, wine perfumed candles, beautifully made glassware made from recycled glass, just to name a few. It's one of those places where you feel good shopping at, know where your things are made, and know that the workers were treated fairly and that the products were made without the use of any indentured servants or slaves (which unfortunately exists more often than we think). The best thing is that the prices are great! I am so used to going to such fair-trade, sustainable, eco/green stores in bigger cities such as Chicago and San Francisco and the prices being marked up too high, but at this place, I could actually afford things I liked without breaking the bank. She also participates in First Friday events and I think from what I remember, there will be wine tasting happening sometime soon.

It wasn't just about ghosts and goblins, she really gives you all the history for such a beautiful part of the city. We started at the beautiful Wyndamere with a free drink and some history about how the once historic bank became a jaw dropping venue for weddings, parties and even ghost hunting. They have really put blood, sweat, and tears into it. We walked from Central to Sixth and back. This includes the Sorg Mansion and Opera House and many, many homes in between, including opening the doors to her own home. Being able to see the inside of any one of these historical homes is a real opportunity. The fact that she is restoring, not only a business, but a home in the area says a lot of her dedication to passing on its story to the rest of us. Once back at the Wyndamere, we got to tour the entire building. From both vaults, to the men's Stag Room in the basement, to the acoustic balconies, it's a real sight!

Outdoors there is an impressive curated sculpture garden.
