We are still full. And happy. Oh my gosh did Nana's do an amazing job with my son's Bar Mitzvah this past weekend. Everyone told us that it was the best food they have ever had at an event. They made tacos and omelettes to order. I think they made us 8 quarts of fresh guacamole (for 80 people), and our guests were scraping the bottom of the bowl!! Everything was fresh and wonderful. Throughout the planning, Maggie was an unfailing problem solver. She was always helpful and cheerful, and helped me out with all of the planning and logistical challenges- including being very helpful in accommodating some of our guests who have life-threatening food allergies. DEFINITELY would recommend Nana's and can't wait until we have another excuse to use them again. read more

I highly recommend this caterer. The food was amazing, all the guests commented on how delicious the appetizers and dinner tasted. They set up a beautiful table and cooked for an hour and a half prior to the start of the party. The two ladies were so professional and kind to the guests! They showed up on time, called to confirm a week before and cleaned up everything including packing up leftovers. The guacamole is not included in the main meal so we ordered it as an extra appetizer and none was left because it's truly the BEST ever! Many guests took the business cards because they want to use the same company for their parties. I will be using them again!! This catering service goes above and beyond to make sure all guests are happy with their meal. My workplace hired them to cater lunch for a big group of over 100 people. I was really impressed by their set up. The salsas, guac and chips were placed on nice clay platters. Nana's is very detail oriented and it shows in the way they arrange and present their food. So where should I start! Nana's Kitchen was amazing! From speaking to Monique to having James walk around the party with a platter serving appetizers. Monique was amazing! She was so helpful! She was so patient and answered all my questions, and lord knows I had many since this was my first time getting a taco lady. When James and his crew got to my house they setup quickly and the display was beautiful! Like I said I had never had a taco lady and my first time experience was great! I loved how James came around to every table not just once or twice but many times with delicious appetizers! The food was AMAZING! everyone at the party wanted his card because of how good the service and food was! I am sure Nana's Kitchen will be getting some new business soon.. The nicest staff and the most professional. The spread was absolutely incredible...so authentic! Unbelievably good! We used Nana's for a family reunion over Labor Day. They arrived right on time, set up a BEAUTIFUL buffet, and worked quickly to cook up a delicious array of food. My guests were from all over the country, so really appreciated the authentic food. Especially fun was watching them make homemade tortillas, scooping the dough, pressing each tortilla, and then serving them hot off the grill. On a SATURDAY night I went in to eat here. I already looked online to check their hours before getting there. The door confirms they close at 9pm on Saturday. I walked in at 7:30 & they told me sorry were closed! I said but I checked & it says not until 9pm. There are lots of people sitting inside eating too by the way. They said they were closing early because its slow. So why turn away paying customers when you NEED business??? It didn't look slow to me & the open signs are ON. read more

Nana's Kitchen catered my daughter's 16th birthday party last night and they were friendly, professional and the food was absolutely delicious. We had 60 people and they had no problem serving all of the teens. They passed around appetizers first and then the kids lined up for fresh tacos. They set up a beautiful table (they bring their own tablecloths and festive pottery) of chips and various salsas and other accompaniments. We had lots of leftovers so James and his crew kindly packed them up for us to take home. James was so polite and friendly and I cannot recommend Nana's Kitchen more highly. read more

I use them for a bautizo party and they first charge $500 for 100 people. Then they charged $700. They change the price after they started to serve people. They were counting how many tacos people were eating and how many tacos per plate and this was not the deal this lady told me. When only 50 people showed up. Plus they didn't finish their shift til 8pm. They had to leave early because they had another party to cater. I was very upset because of the over charge and very disappointed for my guest. We had to order out because there was no more Nana tacos. Save your money or use someone else. I don't recommend the service of these people. read more

Nana's Kitchen was absolutely amazing! To start, communication via email and over the phone was both easy, simple, and very helpful. I can't say enough about the presentation of the food, to the labeling of salsas, to the precise placements of decorations of where food was served - all was perfect! Now onto the food itself...delicious, tasty, mouth watering! I have never heard so many compliments from guests about the food and how much they ate. That right there explains it all. From the appetizers to the tacos, yumm! I ordered chile rellenos, enchiladas, & watermelon aqua fresca in addition to the main dish of tacos. Everyone raved about ALL of it. The entire staff was extremely friendly! There is a 45 person minimum, which I understand, but wishing it could be 5 person min. - I'd have them cook me dinner every week! We hosted a party for 120 people and Nana's handled it with ease. It all starts with the homemade tortillas. They arrived about 1.5 hours before the start of dinner, and spent that time prepping tortillas and grilling meat. Their set up is pretty simple and fit in a 10 x 10 area pretty easily. We got lucky and had Minnesota Matt hosting for us. He rocked...literally. They did appetizers of quesadilla, mini tostada, jalapeno poppers. Matt walked around with the tray and people loved it. After the tray passed appetizers was a wave of chicken, steak and pork tacos that everyone enjoyed. Matt stayed on to sing Fat Bottom Girls (by Queen) on the karaoke machine and he killed it. This is our second taco cart experience and Nana's was way better than the other guys we used for a smaller party. Their food just tasted delicious and really fresh. The clean up was fast and simple. It was like they were never there. These guys are a vendor who I would recommend to anyone! read more

We hired Nana's Kitchen for our Memorial Day weekend wedding in Santa Barbara. We are so happy we made the choice to go with Nana's! The prices are very reasonable and even though the team hadn't worked at our venue before, there were no problems with set up, they were very professional and on time, and the food was great. We still have guests complimenting us on the food two weeks after the wedding! Everything is hot and fresh and classic tasty Mexican food. We were taking a small gamble with Nana's because they don't have a restaurant or tasting room, so you can't taste the food before you order it, but their food is great, so the gamble paid off. They take a few days to respond to emails, but they are always ready to answer your questions which for a paranoid/overly-organized bride was nice to have!
