I felt at ease with her almost immediately and she addressed all my questions and concerns prior to beginning the actual session. Going through my health history and current physical woes was easy to do with Stefanie. She even helped me recognize additional symptoms that I didn't explicitly bring up, as I'd accepted them part of my life, and addressed them as well. I had been experiencing severe symptoms and manifestations of chronic stress, including insomnia, digestive problems, depression, anxiety, irregular menstrual cycle and back pain. I needed help! What threw me was the complete lack of professionalism. While I confirmed a credit card would be ok to pay for the copayment, at time of service she didn't have her reader handy and wouldn't enter the number in by hand so I had to dig out my check book. The initial claim she submitted lacked proper diagnosis code for payment so the initial amount due was greatly inflated. By the time she submitted a correct claim, there was no patient responsibility and so began the dramatic saga of trying to get a refund. Check never comes in the mail...threatens to stick me with a stop payment fee...harassing phone calls...insists on coming to my house to drop off "a new" check...when you're looking for a healer to help you (as I imagine most are when seeking an acupuncturist), this is really the last thing I needed to add to my plate...
