I have spoken with numerous employees and have repeatedly encountered what I feel is an unacceptable level of unprofessionalism. I have asked to speak with a manager, yet the representatives I spoke with refused to transfer me or provide contact information. I have also been laughed at, dismissed, and spoken to in a disrespectful manner when simply trying to advocate for my child's care. I do want to acknowledge one employee, Sarah, who is not at our location but has been the only person throughout this experience who consistently conducted herself with professionalism, kindness, and empathy. I truly appreciate the way she has treated us. Regardless of how complicated an insurance or scheduling issue may be, families seeking medical care--especially for a child recovering from surgery--deserve to be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect. I sincerely hope someone in management sees this and takes the opportunity to look into what is happening. At this point, I am working with our insurance company to have my child's care transferred elsewhere, which is incredibly disappointing. I had a congenital defect that he had previously fixed on my mother. My L5 vertebra couldn't decide to be a vertebra or part of my tailbone on my left side. Without the "benefit" of MRI, CT or Ultrasound, or rods of any sort in 1969, he took tissue from my left hip and fused the left side of the L5 to the tailbone to stabilize my back. When I came to after the surgery, Dr Bestard was sitting at my side. I saw the weight of the world life from his shoulders at that moment. Be prepared to wait!…read more I fell and injured my knee and after x-rays didn't show any fractures I was referred to Sea View Orthopedic, where I saw Dr. Eidt. First visit: ~10 minutes in the waiting room | ~15 minutes in the exam room | ~8 minutes with the Dr. He barely looked at my knee, told me to wear a compression sleeve for a few weeks and reduce activities. Second visit: ~10 minutes in the waiting room | ~30 minutes in the exam room | ~2 minutes with the Dr. He asked me how physical therapy was going, to which I told him I wasn't doing PT, just wearing the compression sleeve and reducing activities but that had not changed anything and I was still in pain. He told me to get an MRI. Third visit: ~15 minutes in the waiting room | ~15 minutes in the exam room | ~5 minutes with the Dr. Said the MRI didn't show anything other than a mild case of arthritis and I could do PT or injections for the arthritis, but no resolution for the pain I was still in due to the fall.
