I bought a deal for Eyebrow Threading for $6, that's how I discovered Nancy. She is located inside Sola Salon Studios in Kearny Mesa. I got lost trying to find a sign that says "Nancy Brows Shaper". I found her studio after circling the area for 15 mins. What a great find! Nancy is very good and very personable. I really like how she shaped my brows, I would definitely recommend her not just for her service but for the price too. Her services are very reasonable. Nancy is great. This is m first tume getting my brows did in San Diego. I came in without an appointment to ger my eyebrows cleaned up and had to run to another appointment in 30mins. She wasn't too busy but she was with another customer. It was going to be 15 min so I was going to go to my other appointment and come back but she spoke to her current customer and she let me squeeze in. She had a longer appointment so she let me squeeze in really quick. Nancy was very quick and did a wonderful job. She made sure I approved of what she was doing the entire way through. I left within 5mins! Guess I found a new go-to brow place in San Diego! I suggest not coming on a weekend though. My mistake. Nancy is QUICK. and GOOD. I came in for a 12:00 appt with a Groupon. Some reviews said scheduling was difficult, but this was not my experience. I called a few days earlier, asked if I could come in Saturday at noon, and she confirmed the time and next thing you know, there I am. It is located within Sola Salon or whatever it's called. The place is tiny but that is sufficient! The chair is super comfortable and Nancy is a pro. I told her what I like, and she listened well. (I am mildly traumatized because a few years ago, aka last time I had my eyebrows waxed, the lady took off like ALL MY EYEBROWS and they were tiny little ones that haven't been in style since 1994 and I was so horrified, so I was having flashbacks). ANYWAY, Nancy did a great job and made my eyebrows look amazing and beautiful and clean. This was completely painless and SUPER fast. I have never had them done so quickly. She didn't sacrifice quality though, because they were looking clean and good. I also appreciate the quality of the thread she uses. I have had my eyebrows threaded where the thread breaks all the time and I am left with little pieces of thread all over my face (not a dealbreaker, I just appreciate that this was not like that). This thread didn't break and my face was lint-less. Score? She gave me some brow powder to fill in one spot that was being weird (not her fault, one of my eyebrows is just a little bit shorter for some reason. I probably overplucked in between visits), and I was on my way. 5 stars for: -Professionalism -Friendliness -Knowledge -Speed -Price (regular is $10. a steal! with groupon before tip it was $6) -Quality I recommend this place for sure. Bought a Groupon deal (where it states her hours are 10-7... BUT THEY ARE NOT!) I have called many times to set up an appointment. She called me back 1 of the 6 times I called her and on the ONE time she called me back, we got disconnected and she never reached out for my business again. She claims I left her the wrong phone number on the Voice Mail I left for her, but we had just spoken the day before. I called her the next day with no response, then again a week later. She texted me 30 minutes later with a short response. I proceeded to text her back and try and set up an appointment but was answered with short responses with very little information other than the fact that I could not set up an appointment any of the 3 or 4 times that worked for me. She then became rude and defensive while texting me. I told her I would not be using her services (shame, because I was going to send my clients to her as we have just stopped our brow waxing services at my location) and she then left me a five minute long voicemail explaining her son's doctors appointments, schools schedule and some other unimportant information to try and give an excuse to her HORRIBLE customer service over the phone. I'm sure she is good at eyebrow threading, but she is rude, unprofessional, and unorganized. I hope she works on her customer service skills and begins to care a bit more about her first time client business. read more

I found Nancy through Groupon and I've been going to her ever since. Prices are reasonable. I usually get my brows and upper lip done for $18.00. Her place is located inside sola salons. Nancy is friendly and always greets me with a smile whenever I come in. Setting up an appointment is easy, you can either text or call her and she replies right away. She also sends me friendly reminders when I'm due for threading. Service is top notch and I like how she doesn't thin out my brows much and she applies powder to my brows for free.
