First, The spot is outdoor seating only so if your going around when temperature's are high best to keep the attire summer friendly. . .let me just skip to the good part. . .the food was fire we ordered a family size platter that came with Steak,Pork Belly,Ribs,Sausage & 3 sides of your choice steak, sausage nor the ribs were dry,the sides were fire & the overall plater was worth the money. . .Unfortunately, I can only praise the food as the service could've been better, First when we arrived we weren't greeted by our server, the tables & chairs could've been a bit more comfortable, the server's & waitresses weren't very attentive (A gentleman that was cleaning the tables was the only one who checked up on us from time to time.) & Due to it being outdoor seating you also get the entertainment of swatting at flys while you eat, (If that doesn't bother you then by all means,) a few more fans would not only improve the temperature it would also help dealing with the fly issue they have. Our waitress was great. My review is on the prices. This place is VERY OVERPRICED!! Meat is good but for what they charge, save your money and go to Smith and Wollensky or Capital Grille where I'm sure it will be less and much more quality! The combo is $190 for meat pieces, 4 ribs and 4 sides. The sides are fried yuca, cheese 2 small tamales, and you get a cachapa (cornmeal Patty with cheese in it).. food was tasty but not for those prices. I tried this place that was way too over priced for a food truck the least expensive plate cost $21.99, which wouldn't be bad if you are in a high end restaurant in downtown with a view and properly seated with all accommodations for a restaurant. My review is based on my experience, through the years I have been visiting several grill restaurants from Latino to White and African American steak and barbecue restaurants, this weekend I visit Nando Grill, the place has a lot of publicity on social media, that's the reason I drove 3 hrs since I get their honesty I have only bad things to said about this "restaurant ", I wait 40 minutes for a table after one of the waitresses said the waiting time was 10 to 15 minutes ( nobody writes my name on a list, the waiter said!! you go after the person next to me ?) people just getting there got tables before me and the person next to me, Music is so loud that the server can barely hear you, so of course, the order was completely wrong, the carne was hard and dry (I ordered medium) no flavor in the carne, I was expecting the wood flavor but not flavor from wood or smoke, meat has only a salty flavor, the sides are small, the ribs were bad, not smoke or Wood flavor needer and not tenderness. I am a Latino and as a Latino, I expect to feel comfortable with other Latinos around, but the music was so bad and loud that this place makes me feel is only for Venezuelans because only they understand what the singer was saying, I paid $85 for two orders and 2 teas (8oz $3.50 not refills Allowed) and honestly Pollo Tropical has better food más service so I recommend visiting Pollo tropical.
