So I've been Nando's and well I'm gonna give you a mixture of my experience plus my nephews as it was his first time! So warning anyone any groups more than two people there is a 30 minute or more wait and I guess even two people there is a queue for a table but it's just normally pretty busy. So after spending £50 for three people - no alcohol just chicken wrap two/ three sides each and a soft drink x3 it's not the most reasonable priced meals as no one liked the sweet pototoe wedges that were burnt and uncooked at the same time, one of the garlic breads had a bite taken out of it, the chicken wrap was ok but in the eyes of my nephew he has had better. The low score was down to one hour wait for a table which we didn't get a table for 5 people we ended up getting a table for 4 and we all squashed around it trying my to get hit by the other customers and servers , second point was the food by bite taken from the garlic bread and hard burnt sweet pototoe wedges. Now I love Nandos but have to mark this one low. The restaurant was nearly empty and overrun with staff yet service was slow. Seating us, cooking out food, it all took longer than usual for no apparent reason. Then there's the food. I had the portobello mushroom and halloumi wrap (no halloumi double mushroom) with mango and lime marinade. It was tasteless, and mostly contained lettuce. If I hadn't added the pineapple it would have basically been a lettuce wrap. The chargrilled vegetable 'fino' side was a let down. Mostly onion with a few peppers and the occasional courgette. And just bland. My companion had the butterfly chicken breast burger and commented that it was quite dry. C'mon Nandos, you can do so much better than this! read more

Nandos Chicken. Does what it says on the tin! Always a popular restaurant and this location is no exception. Located near a cinema, bowling lanes and fitness gym along with a variety of shops, this restaurant is always busy. Make sure you leave plenty of time to queue, eat and get to your booked film or bowling lane. Food is, well, chicken mainly surprisingly!!! However, at this visit I did notice that there were other selections creeping in e.g. steak roll and some vegetarian options. But really, do you come to Nandos for either of those??? You can get unlimited soft drinks (why never the sparkling water??) which will keep the thirstiest person satisfied. Although the routine is the get your number, sit and decide what to eat then go to the counter to order before sitting and waiting for your order to be brought to your table. I notice on this occasion that the waiters were asking whether we wanted anything else with our meal whilst we were tucking in. Odd I thought if you have to pay at the till how does that work. Then I saw the waiter bring the credit card machine to a table soooo, you can order more food conveniently from your table now not sure if that is good or bad. Good food easily brought to you whilst you enjoy your meal... No time to stay for desserts but notice an improvement on these also. Not just frozen yoghurt and Portuguese pies anymore (although both yummy). Note to self, make sure you leave time to wait in the queue for your table to ensure you have time for dessert. Friendly, helpful, smiley staff greet you at the door and guide you to a cosy plush leather-seat booth or intimate table. You'll be given a numbered chicken and menu, and when you're ready to place your order it's a do-it-yourself affair at the counter. You can choose from a selection of Portugese-style chicken dishes - wings, fillet in pitta, whole chicken - or tasty vegetarian options, which have recently been extended to include meaty portobello mushrooms with Halloumi (yum!). The marinated olives are a must! All menu options are available in a choice of heat and spice, so if you're feeling brave try the Very Hot. The table sauces also vary in degrees of spiciness, so be prepared to down a few drinks to cool your palette. Drinks are bottomless though, and you'll be given a glass and can fill up with your fave beverage at the drinks fountain. There is even crushed ice at your disposal. Nando's serves up tasty chicken in attractive surroundings, so you always know what you're getting before you get there. My favourite restaurant without doubt. There is always someone to greet you at the door and the staff are always polite. If you havnt been before, i would suggest going in the afternoon or at wekkends as the evenings can get very busy and you may have a wait of around 30 minutes. not a good place to bring a date as the seating times can be unpredictable. If you do manage to get a seat, this is a fantastic experience. They encourage you to make a mess and expect you to eat with your hands. I always get the 1/2 chicken with chips and coleslaw, with unlimited coke refils. Always, always with then very hot peri peri sauce. The chicken is great. Cooked over a coal fire, you get the smoked taste that makes it seem like you are at a barbeque. The price is not too bad either. You can eat well for around £25 for 2. Once you have been, you will definately go back. read more

You can't beat a nandos chicken burger, personally I find the medium quite hot enough, but if your brave enough you could always go for the extra hot! There is loads of parking at this branch which is a real bonus. If you haven't tried the nando's experience yet you don't know what you are missing. The unlimited drinks are great especially if you go for the hot options. The food is cooked to order so always hot and you never have to wait too long. Give it a try, you'll love it!! read more

Amazing casual dinning Good fun as casual dining goes, its your slandered Nando's walk in taken to your a free table with menus go to the bar to order your meal, stop off to fill up your glasses and pick up sauces in the middle of the restaurant and sit back down again. Nandos is an absolutley fantastic restaurant although I don't like the location which is next to 2 clubs but that is a minor oversight. Food is always 1st class and its highly recommended! read more

I love Nandos - it seems to find that perfect balance between a restaurant and a fast food place. You are simply given a table with a menu, asked to place your order and pay for it at the till and you have the food delivered to your table. The food doesn't take long at all and is always good quality. The staff here are friendly and service is good although in reality they don't do much other than bring the food to your table. You have to get the condiments and plates yourself but that's all part of the Nandos experience. What I like about Nandos though is that you choose how hot you want your chicken to be so you can vary this depending on how you are feeling on the day. read more

This Nandos outlet is the best one in the Croydon area, it has only been open for a couple of years so the décor is still new and fresh with lovely little leather booths which are private and comfortable. As always the food is great and the peri peri chicken is lovely. This branch gets very busy because it is in a retail park and is the cheapest restaurant in the area for a sit down meal (unless you want McDonalds or Burger king!) the layout is very spacious which is rare in Nandos restaurants as they seem to want to cram as many tables and chairs in as possible. The staff are friendly and helpful as usual. This is definitely my Nandos of choice and it is worth the 10 minute drive or tram journey from the centre of Croydon as the Nandos in the Croydon centre is not as nice as this one. read more

Nando's gives its customers a 'Portugeuese' style dining experience with the no-frills approach adopted by many pub restaurants. Whilst the food is reasonably priced and generally tastes good, I have given the restaurant only two stars due to the fact that the chicken served is not free range which would make the restaurant perfect! read more

This place is a good combination of fast food and a restuarant. It is handy if you are going with a group of people from work on a lunchtime, as you can all pay individually but then sit down together to enjoy your food. It is simple and no frills. The food is quick to come and the selection of sauses they offer is good. The staff are very helpful if you tell them it is your first time visitng because I wasn't really sure how it worked.
