    Nato eg Portuguese egg tart
    Evan C.

I must give them props for great service. My family came here for a "quick bite" just before heading to the Ferry but the food was taking a really long time and I was getting stressed that we might be late. We thought of asking for the food to go but then it started coming. They apologized, gave us some free drinks and later even brought some dessert - Nato's - for each of us. They were SO delicious - Portuguese egg tarts , the inspiration for one of my favorite foods - the Cantonese Dan Tat. Compared to a dan tat the crust is much thinner and not flaky but the filling is so creamy and good it's ridiculous. The food was very decent. The signature chicken is very flavourful, juicy - it's quite good. I had a chicken thigh sandwich and the combo of chicken and tomatoes works quite well. The sides - fries, Brussels sprouts, grilled cauliflower - are all really decent as well. I would come back for the food - hoping it's faster next time a- and the service has won me over.

I hadn't been to Nando's in decades. A few family members brought me here. We ordered the jumbo chicken platter that had 2 whole chickens & 4 side dishes with garlic bread to share. For the sides, we had 2 Brussel sprouts, 1 Caesar salad and an order of fries. I was told to order the side of peri peri fries next time. The meal was just right for 6 people. The best was the Caesar salad with shaved Parmesan cheese. The Brussel sprouts portions were small. The chicken was roasted just right. The worst thing is eating overcooked chicken that you're choking on it. The taste was okay. There's bottled sauces for sale. They also have some vegetarian options. Otherwise, skip this place if you want something other than chicken or vegetarian. They have a few comfy chairs to sit on. This location is on the south side of the mall & parking is a bit of a challenge with construction nearby. They're off Taylor Way and Marine Drive. Best to park at the upper-level parkade.

I'm a big rotisserie chicken fan, so when I saw a Nando's I knew I had to try it. I had the two piece with fries and a side of rice. The chicken was nice and juicy, honestly doesn't even need the extra sauce, but of course it's a must. I was extremely disappointed with the rice. I don't know if it was just an off day, but the rice I was served was just mush. You can see from my photo that the rice was not cooked well at all and it tasted that way. Based on the other photos, it looks like I just had a bad batch, but overall it was a satisfying experience!

I've always had great chicken at this location. We like to eat in as we love to drown out plates with variety of peri peri sauce. I'd recommend the chicken with bone in, rice, peri fries. Easy parking, friendly staff, self serve drink station and they even serve wine and desserts.

We usually go on an annual trip to Canada during Thanksgiving. While other people are eating turkey, we will eat poutine! However, while walking around the mall, we weren't craving Poutine. But, I did see a sign for Nandos! Sign me up! First time I had Nandos was in Washington DC. Ever since then, I've been looking for Peri Peri chicken anywhere I can. I did find a pretty decent place in the LA area, but I am always still craving Nandos. The seasoning on the chicken is great, but the different sauces is what I love about coming here. They have a variety such as Lemon and Herb, Mild, Medium and 2 levels of Hot. I usually get a bottle of Lemon and Herb and the first level of hot. The rest of the family eats the chicken just the way it is. As good as the chicken is, the sides are great, too. One popular side is the Macho Peas, which is a smashed peas dish. I tried it in Nandos in Washington DC and it was good, but not my favorite. For my order this time, I just got Peri Peri Fries (which come with their awesome seasoning) and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. As you can see, I was carb loading even though I didn't have a marathon the next day. But, it was well worth it as both sides were awesome! Unfortunately, there is no Nandos in California, so I will just have to wait for the next annual Thanksgiving trip to Canada....... Which will only be our 3rd. LOL! Note: You can buy the sauces online!

Stopped in for dinner. Second time at Nando's but first at this location. The place was clean, food was prepared correctly and swiftly....and was served hot and fresh. The staff was friendly, interaction with who I assume was the manager was great. This location is near our new home so we will be back....recommend!

When I realised there was a Nando's near our Airbnb, the decision was clear. I knew what we'd be having for lunch. I called in our takeaway order and shortly afterward, two of our friends headed there to pick up our order. Most of us chose the PERi-PERi Chicken Sandwich with lettuce and tomato on a freshly baked Nando's roll or the PERi-PERi Chicken Caesar served in a whole wheat wrap. For my side, I chose coleslaw which was peppery and delicious! I liked how each takeaway box had stickers on the exterior to tell us its contents. Our friends, new to BC, were happy with the 40-count Snack Pack of Timbits® from earlier that day but I ordered some pastéis de nata - traditional Portuguese custard tarts. They were also quite delicious so I regret nothing.

I love their chicken plain dipped in ketchup. And corn on the cob is my favorite side. They have good salad dressing too. This location is not super busy and the staff are friendly. a little wait time for your order but manageable. It is in a mall so parking is easy.

    Hot double legs to go

The only thing missing in every McDonald's is a microscope. That's the level of precision, and that's why they are the mother of fast food for 70 years. There are two types of McDonald's Restaurants. One is Clean and One is Messy, and no I'm not referring to its floors. I'm referring to how they make their sandwiches. From step 1 all the way to placing it in the bag. This one I like going to when I do decide to indulge in my very sinful fast food crave. Why? Every time I have ordered, it has been tasty, well put together and the proportionality of the ingredients spot on. So, you don't have a soggy, sticky, greasy, messy burger in a paper bag handed to you. I've tried several McDonald's in my area downtown, but they are outright scary. Too much sauce, greasy bag, 2-day old fries and burnt buns.....Yup. Scary. So, whenever I do crave it and I'm in West Vancouver I'll go here. I mean we all know it's not the best food for you, and you can't even speak of quality when it comes to McDonald's, but actually you can.....in a weird sort of way even McDonald's has varying standards and quality control across different stores managed by varying managements. So, why only a 4 out of 5 when it's the one I like the most? My Fries were not topped up. This time.

I think with this place it's more the attitude, lack of effort and sloppy service that defines this Chipotle. Almost insulting. We ordered two bowls with steak and rice. The serving portions of both bowls were so off that you'd think that one of them was half the serving of the other. There was no one behind us but it was as if we were witnessing a chicken line running out of time. We asked for a cup of water with our meal and they said..."no cup of water, you have to buy a bottle". A restaurant that doesn't give tap water with their order....wow. That, I would have to say is a new species of crap service. The service reminded me of the cooks at the prison lunch-line counter....not that I would know prison lunch...but you know what I mean... The bowl didn't really taste like anything other than sodium. The steak was tough, overcooked, over seasoned, dry and extremely chewy. Interesting. I've gotten an overlying thematic experience with several Chipotles in Vancouver. I wish it were a good one. Yeah, I don't think I'll be going to Chipotles in this beautiful city anymore. #makeyourown.

Love that it doesn't try to imitate the taste or texture of meat. It's simply made of veggies and has its own unique flavor. That is always my preference for any kind of plant based/ veggie burger. Just be made of veggies and taste good without trying to imitate the taste or texture of meat. I brought the Poutine Rooty keychain home for my daughter. She was very happy with it. Not sure how long they'll be selling these keychains so I'd recommend getting to an A&W to buy them sooner rather than later if you're interested. There are 5 different Rooty keychains altogether, including the Poutine Rooty.

Truffle Parmesan fries - steak fry size with an excellent coating of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese. Personally, I prefer shoestring, but these were still very good. The Royal Huntsman House made bison patty, royal blue Stilton cheese, Cajun Hickory, smoked wild, boar, bacon, apple chips, butter, lettuce, tomato, 40 Creek barbecue aïoli, charcoal brioche bun, choice of salad, or fries. The patty definitely could be bigger, given the fact that the rest of the ingredients are "big" and losing sight of what should be the featured layer was a miss. Otherwise, what an impressive plating and wonderfully composed flavors. The tangy blue cheese draws out like a blade and the bacon is to die for. Seafood Chowder Creamy style chowder, shellfish, steelhead, Pacific cod, potato, chive, crispy, bacon, served with baguette. This outdid even the Huntsman - a well packed chowder with generous bites (not bits) of all the above - there was more volume of bites to sort out than actually creamy soup. Incredibly integrated flavors and keeps amazingly well. A five star can't miss dish. Given the venue , ambiance, food quality, menu creativity (they even offered a lychee boba martini), I'm rounding this up to an outstanding five star experience. We initially chose to sit inside, but it was hot and the box fan wasn't doing enough to cool down the dining room so we switched to a table on the patio. The tables had umbrellas, but some of them were positioned in a way where we couldn't adjust them. My mom tried her best to move her chair out of the sun so she could get some coverage from the umbrella. I had the Dragonfruit Breeze Mocktail which was really good and very refreshing! My mom had an Iced Latte which she enjoyed. For my entrée, I went with the Fish and chips. Unfortunately I did not care for my meal. The batter wasn't evenly cooked. Some bites were very soft and doughy while other bites were very crunchy. The fish itself was flaky and tasted good, but the batter kind of ruined it for me. I also didn't care for the coleslaw that came with it. I don't know what kind of dressing was in it, but it had a vinegar after taste that I didn't like. Midway through the meal, my stomach started hurting (perhaps from the oil used to fry the fish). Needless to say, I didn't finish my plate. My mom ordered the Mediterranean Bowl and she enjoyed it. I did not try any of it, but it did look good. Our server was polite, but not personable compared to the other tables in his section. He was attentive in the beginning, but towards the end of our lunch he completely disappeared. He struck up conversations with a gentleman from Australia at one table and a couple from the UK at another table. Meanwhile, whenever he came to our table, he barely spoke. At some point he completely disappeared and we had to flag someone down so we could close out. Apparently our server went on break and didn't let us know. It honestly seemed like he didn't let another staff member know because no one covered for him in his absence until we grabbed another employee's attention. Mediocre food and mediocre service. Stanley's is a convenient dining option given it's location in the park, but I would not go out of my way to dine here again.
