When you get your table number, go up to the counter to order and they will bring your order to your table. Went to try the new Chickle sandwich. Which has a chicken breast made to your spice level, between Portuguese buns, cheese, pickles, tomatoes and arugula. The sandwich was sizeable, but a bit pricey at $15.99 ($19.19 with 1 side). I came here couple times for dinner. Their food is tasty. This is one of the few Nando's that feels like a sit down restaurant. When you walk through the door, you still have to order your food but they will bring it to you. They do come by to check on how you are doing and how was the food etc. I got the chicken bowl and it was super delicious. The avocado was a bit overripe but it was the way I liked it. The chicken was fresh and delicious. They do serve alcohol here and other drinks. I really like their pita bread appetizers and also their garlic bread here. Highly recommend getting that. My husband and I were on vacation and he really wanted to try out this place. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and is an order first then seat yourself type of establishment, fast service - food came out pretty quickly and the staff were friendly. My husband got the 1/2 chicken plate with corn and spicy rice and I got a chicken bowl that came with rice, salad, corn, tomatoes and hummus. Both were really tasty and delicious, I also like that they gave the different peri peri sauces on the side that you can add on. Definitely a must try chain when you're in Canada. read more

Another oustabding yelp elite event at Nando's in garden city and alderbridge. We were treated to their summer platter. Succulent peri peri chicken, spiced rice, creamy coleslaw, and crunchy peri peri fries, complimented with Portuguese egg tarts. Not gonna lie...the chicken and all the trimmings and side dishes were great. Outstanding chicken and sides from nandos. The one that took the star away was the egg tarts. They were not made fresher and overcooked. The custard in the middle was not soft and running, but a bit solid in texture. The crust wasn't flaky either. I saw several participants not even finish it. After 1-2 bites, they had enough. Lol. Anyhow, the event was a success tho. Lots of yelp elites came and shared food, laughter, stories, and banter. The hosts were great...very friendly and gave us a bit of history about the chili peppers that nandos uses for the chicken. Our Yelp manager Anushka was very welcoming and accommodating to everyone. Made everyone felt right at ease. 5 stars to Nandos for being an excellent host and for gifting each one a bottle of Peri peri sauce of your choice. This was my first time trying Nando's through the Yelp Elite event and it blew my expectations! I had always been curious about Nando's, but would never think about it when we were looking for a place to eat. This place definitely did not disappoint and the marrying of the succulent chicken and sauce was spot on. We were greeted by friendly staff and the manager was delightful and full of energy. Although the place was busy, the ambiance was very warm and homey feeling. The service was incredibly fast and I was fascinated by the kitchen watching it from the side as I was waiting for my drink. While the name and logo are the same around the world, something I've come to realize is that the menu options seem to vary country to country, location by location. The Nando's in Australia, Canada, and USA, for example all have very different menus - although were based on various grilled chicken options. I haven't been to Nando's in a long time but had a craving for the Peri Peri chicken. I haven't been to this location in Richmond but decided to give it a try. Modern and spacious place. They are definitely prepared for lots of people doing take outs because they have a separate line for it. Take out servers were fast and friendly and didn't get your order wrong. The peri peri chicken hasn't changed and it is still so flavourful, though the chicken size is a bit smaller. The livers in lemon and herb with garlic bread was really well done. I like that the hostess knew the menu very well and can give suggestions. read more

Nando's is my hubby's and kid's favorite. My hubby gets the medium-flavored chicken. My kids love the lemon and herb ones. My daughter, who's a picky eater can eat two pieces of chicken with a side of rice. It's amazing! Personally, I love their chicken liver. They make it so tasty. I only order the lemon and herb because the peri-peri/spicy version drowns out the liver flavor. Wish they had more nando's in America. read more

Hello! We are back at another Nando's! Yes we come here pretty often but sometimes you just want to have some chicken in their signature sauce. To be honest I just come for the hot sauce and yes I know you can get them at the store but it's different when you experience it in the restaurant! Every Nando's location has a different aesthetic on the interior but this was our favorite yet! It was soo gorgeous on the inside from the stain-glassed lighting to the sleek seating, it was almost as though we were in a bar! What I also liked about this location compared to the others was that they had a sign that dissuaded the use of straws! They actually hid the straws! At all the other locations we have been at, plastic straws were easily accessible so good job on not having it at this location! The chicken wasn't coated in a lot of sauce after it was grilled and we noticed that the char here was quite a bit more intense compared to the other times we have had Nando's. That's exactly what my last visit here was: "Meh. I've experienced better". First off, the place was not busy at all (at around 6:00ish in the evening), upon arrival, there was no one at the front (like most other locations, there is at least a staff member to greet you and ask if you are dining in or take out). So after a few minutes, I proceed to pick up my own menu and find a table. After ordering at the counter (like all the Nando's), our food arrived and my first reaction when I saw how the skin on the chicken was still soft and very fatty, I was pretty disappointed. Up till now, my experience with other Nando's has been very positive and consistant, be it the service, the food and the cleanliness etc. Since they are specialized in Flame Grilled Chicken, it would be a given that they "Flame" the chicken properly. This is my second visit at this location and it is sad to see the variation in both service and food quality!! With that said, I also find the staff to be very different then other locations, they do not interact with the customers as much and tends to stand around the counter and chat, the tables are also very sticky, I did see staffs clean the tables with clothes, but still it's very sticky for some reason, so my conclusion : even this is a very convenient location for me , I will still drive a bit further to other Nando's. I ordered the double leg in Uber eats and was able to call and customize my order to one medium spice and one mango lime spice to my order. The Brussels sprouts and grilled veggies were a nice alternative to fries. Had a naughty nata which was actually the closest version to a pastei de Belem since our trip to Lisbon, Portugal. I just wish the chicken could have been grilled a little longer to make the skin crispy. The sauce that accompanied our meal made my nose sweat a little with the spice level. We picked up Nando's on our drive back down to Seattle. We happened to order during their happy hour and got their deal of 5 wings for $6. Their worker did a great job selling us on the natas and we ended up getting a half dozen in addition to a side of brussel sprouts and garlic mashed potatoes. I got my wings with the lemon herb sauce and they were delicious with a slight kick to them. The natas were pretty good but the crust to filling ratio was off. The cups they're baked in are fairly deep and the crust is thin so it felt unbalanced. I'm a fan of Nando's peri-peri chicken, I really am. But I hadn't been to a Nando's in a really long time after having a disappointing experience at another location. However, I was craving peri-peri chicken and since I'd never been to this location before, I decided to pop in. This location is really nice. The decor is very modern, their light fixtures are really cool and interesting to look at (yes, I really did just type that), and the service was great. I came in during lunch time and was told to pick a table since it wasn't very busy. It was a working lunch for me, so I picked a table close to an outlet so that I could plug my laptop in. Like all other Nando's locations, you have to order at the counter and then it gets brought out to your table. I went up to the counter and ordered the peri-peri chicken wrap with the lemon & herb sauce and potato wedges on the side. I was quite surprised with how quickly my food came out. I had only been working for less than 10 minutes before it got dropped off to my table. The wrap was fairly small for what I paid, but nonetheless, still delicious and flavourful. I didn't realize how hungry I was because I chowed down the whole wrap and all the potato wedges in less than 10 minutes. My overall dining experience was fairly quick, but I hung around a bit longer after eating to get some work done. They didn't seem to mind since it wasn't too busy. If you visit during the summer time, I'd recommend sitting outside on their nice patio. Peri-peri chicken and some sunshine? Win win. read more

I am a vegetarian but used to love their vegetarian burger and especially their peri peri sauces and peri peri fries. I haven't been to Nando's in years...but have always had good experiences with the good in the past. I'd been meaning to try this location since I keep finding myself at this strip mall lately. I've been twice in the last month now and I have to say: I want to keep coming back! On my first visit I came in to order take-out. The space is very clean, airy and big. It has warm colors and vibe and there's lots of sunlight penetrating the space making it feel very inviting. Right off the top a super friendly lady greeted me from the counter. I think she must be the manager because she really seemed to be in control of the flow of the kitchen and wait staff while at the same time managing customers coming in. You order at the counter, take your order number and grab a seat. They bring the food for you. It's not complicated, so to those complaining you don't know what to do, stop complaining. It's not rocket science. Anyways, Narissa was incredible. There's so much new stuff on their menu and she did a really great job of asking me the right questions to help with suggestions on what to order. She even let me sample the chili jam as I was curious about it! My first visit I ordered the Halloumi & Chicken salad. I really loved the combination of ingredients and how super fresh & bright everything was. There was just the right amount of crunch from the salad fixings and the chicken was well grilled. I also just love halloumi and this one has good texture and flavor (not rubbery). The only issue I had was the salad dressing. It was too acidic for my taste: I think a creamier vinaigrette might work better. I wished I had ordered a side of that chili jam for some relief. My 2nd visit, Narissa remembered me by name and that I usually am looking for take out for work! She was just as energetic and caring as the first time and she just makes me smile! This time I stayed for my meal. I ordered a wrap with the new peri chippers on the side. Wow. Wow! Those peri chippers are AMAZING! Freshly made, thinly sliced potato chips, it kinda puffs up but still has that crispy texture. I'd come back just for a giant plate of these. The decor is the nicest I've seen and the staff are very friendly, but that does not excuse the poor execution. Today I ordered a peri-peri chicken Caesar wrap for my boyfriend and grilled livers for me. We've had these items dozens of times from different locations. The wrap was soggy with way too much sauce. My boyfriend ended up eating it with a fork because it was so messy. My livers were overdone which is normally fine, except they were hard and blackened and came with a hearty serving of complimentary grill scrapings. If I'm willing to pay $10 for something that is actually very low food cost (chicken livers are inexpensive!!) Peri-Peri chicken takes me all the way back to my hometown, Calgary. My mother's favourite choice for dining out: Nando's. My family of 6 are able to get full off chicken, rice, fries, and garlic bread - with left overs to spare. Layout is spacious and clean. While the soft red and orange tones create a warm welcoming environment. You order at the front counter, and they bring food to your table. Although the business model is mostly counter service, the staff are friendly and helpful, as they assisted us with anything else after a few minutes into our meal. There is no way that those portions will feed 4 people, and I'm writing this as we are sitting with my family at the Burger King across the street, right after walking out Nando's.
