I had cancer years ago. The morning she got the notification from radiologist that read the mammogram, she left me voicemail. By the time I called her back, she had already scheduled an appointment for me with the surgeon the next day. The surgeon and the oncologist she referred me to were also exceptional. Within 10 days I had two surgeries and was on my way to post op radiation. I've never heard of a quicker response. Same when my eye was cut by a cactus. She called around and got me in to see an eye doctor that same day even though all referrals were booked. Can't say enough about Dr Don.

I was searching for a new physician due to insurance changes; after hours and hours of research and…read morevetting I felt like she would have been a great option; she had great reviews and so I went with her for myself and my husband. The office was not helpful with helping my husband understand which lab he was to go to for a specialized analysis and was given the run around for two months. He couldn't go to our regular lab provider and was directed to a specialized lab, they gave him the wrong information several times. We had to spend several hours calling the insurance providers and several organizations in the local area to figure it out ourselves. It was horrible. I then scheduled a visit to establish care for myself. I have several medical conditions and Dr. P refused/dismissed many of my concerns/requests citing her personal feelings about my care (mind you she had never seen me before). I then asked for specific labs (that my previous physician orders to check my nutrient levels); she was against it and didn't see the benefit to it. Although she came across nice, she took a very authoritative approach to my care. She was very dismissive of my complaints and prior experience and need for specific testing. Her denials either came with no alternative solutions, just a "no, I do think that will help" or "this is what I'm willing to do for you" as if she was doing me a favor instead. I have never received such pushback and unwillingness to provide care without "good reason." It was just very disheartening to experience especially since I struggle with ongoing health issues.

She takes the time to listen and work with you to find a solution to whatever health problem you are having. When I had a health issue on Christmas night several years ago, she returned my call right away, determined what medication I would need, and found a 24-hour pharmacy where my husband could procure the medicine right away. How many doctors do that?? I had my annual physical examination today and when I got home I told my husband, "What a blessing it is that we found Dr. Ahuja. I love her!" She spent as much time as needed to go over all of my medical issues, discussed test results, nutrition, medications, etc. She is always attentive and really listens. Her office staff is always friendly, caring and efficient. They are prompt in answering my calls and emails and when I am in the office, I never feel rushed. During Covid, they have been exceptionally careful and I have always felt safe even though I am at risk for having serious problems. If you need a primary care physician, look no further. She is by far the very best.
