When my appointment started, the nail technician told me that there was no acrylic service even available, only "sculpting gel." Clearly there was already some miscommunication. My tech burned my fingernails three times while using the sculpting drill, and after applying metal "sculpting" tools for "bonding," I experienced what she described as "the ring of fire." She gave me no warning that I may feel a searing, burning sensation the FIRST time, but when I told her I was in pain, she said it needed to happen to finish the manicure. I've never experienced a stressful manicure until this one. My cuticles weren't trimmed, leftover polish is still visible, and the "new" nails are not even smooth! On top of this, after the whole two-hour ordeal was (thankfully) over, I was charged $55 instead of the $30 that I was quoted. NOT ONCE did the tech mention this upcharge--until it was time to pay! I'm not sure if the tech wasn't properly trained, didn't have the right tools, or just didn't have the talent to provide an appropriate level of service. I hope these issues will be rectified for future customers; I won't be back!
