I never leave no reviews, but this time I just have to!! Please don't use this service!!! Me my husband and our 1 year old son were staying in San Juan hotel, and that's where the nanny was taking care of our child... Just after 2 hours we came back to bring food for baby and we found him with a huge bruce on his forehead and nose, after we contacted Lynn there was no apologies or anything she, the only thing she said "accidents happens". Of course we sent the nanny home, but decided to give it a shot again... When we came back after 6-7 hours all the food was inside the refregirator and the nanny said that he simply wasn't hungry and she didn't feed him, except milk and cookies! And when we requested someone older and with more experience Lynn sent us an email saying that they don't have Anyone...For the money they charge they should provide way better service. Lynn was trying to downplay everything saying that we didn't mention that baby has a fever, when my husband was talking to her about the injuries our baby got.. Like it has anything to do with that! Not to mention they vey expensive and charge all kind of fees... I live in NY, and have an excellent nanny and I pay her less than this agency charge! After having terrible experience with these agency we simply found a nanny on care.com and I wish we did it from the beginning! Please don't leave your kids with this people they will charge arm and a leg and it's not even safe! Vacation was ruined, I couldn't get over what happened to our baby

We hired Nanny on Call PR for a vacation babysitter and were willing to pay their premium rates because we expected professional safety. We explicitly told the coordinators, Amanda and Lynn Rivera (the Executive Director), that we needed a sitter who could read books to our children in English. They sent Ms. Ninoshka who was a kind lady who brought toys, but she could not speak the language. We could not safely leave our children with someone we could not communicate with in an emergency. The biggest red flag was the agency's refusal to show us a background check. When I asked for proof of vetting, Lynn completely evaded the question and just kept claiming the sitter was a school nurse, which is not the same thing. Even Ms. Ninoshka told us that Ms. Lynn has done this same thing in the past. When I tried to resolve this on the phone, Lynn was dismissive and abruptly called the sitter to make her leave rather than addressing our valid safety concerns. Because of this last minute cancellation we were unable to go on our evening plans and lost money on our prepaid reservations. It was a hostile, unprofessional experience that felt incredibly risky, and I would never recommend this agency to another parent. read more
We used nanny on call when on vacation in PR this summer! The owner, Lynn, was super nice and flexible with our schedule. She was easy to reach as well, and responsive to voicemail and email. We booked 2 days at 2 different hotels, and were able to have the same babysitter each time. She was also willing to watch our child when sick, so this service is very dependable! I highly recommend. read more

We stayed at a local resort with our 3 young children under the age of 5 and needed a nanny for 2 days of our trip. The agency sent Milly who was familiar with the resort as she had worked there for 32 years prior to becoming a nanny. When we met her, she mentioned she had been working for the agency for 2 years and loved kids. She seemed friendly enough, but our kids didn't seem to take to her - which can be expected considering she is literally a stranger. As the first day progressed, our youngest had to go up to our room for a nap. I handed Milly diapers and wipes, assuming as a nanny she would know to change him out of his swim clothes and swim diaper before he fell asleep. Instead, she didn't bother changing him (swim diaper or swimsuit) and the bed was wet by the time he woke up. This should have been the first red flag, but we honestly didn't make a big deal out of it because on one hand we were grateful for an extra set of hands and there was a slight language barrier so she might not have fully understood what was needed. Fast forward to day 2, we left her with the kids in the evening so we could go to dinner. We ordered room service which arrived as we were leaving. At dinner we got a picture of our kids eating on the hotel room floor (the floors in this resort were barely swept by housekeeping, let alone mopped). There was no attempt to lay down a towel before placing the kids and their plates on the dirty floor, and we had a stack of clean towels in the room. By the time I saw the picture and responded asking for her to not let the kids eat on the floor, she said they had fallen asleep and sent a picture of them sleeping. We brushed it off and tried to enjoy the rest of our evening. When we returned to the room, we thanked her and thought that was the end of it. The next day, I went to brush my hair and noticed hair that was a different color, length and texture to mine embedded in my hair brush. I also noticed the cap to my vitamin c serum wasn't properly closed. Now I could very well have been the one to not close the cap, but the hair on my brush was unmistakably Milly's. Between the kids eating on the floor and the use of personal items, I'm just appalled. I planned to share the feedback with the agency, but they never called, just charged my credit card and that was it. My personal thought is companies that are this transactional and don't take extra steps to build rapport with customers, or get feedback don't actually care about the customer or the service they provide and it shows. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Nanny On Call PR while staying at Bahia beach. Lynn called several times leading up to our trip to confirm details and ask thoughtful questions. Natalia, the nanny that spent two evenings with my son, was kind and caring and communicative! She even brought a toy for my son to keep. I have nothing but good things to say and would use them again if we return to PR read more

While vacationing with kids, it is great to know we had the option of adult time! We used Nanny on Call for 4 boys ages 7-10 for 4 hours. Lycinda and Denise were on time, thorough, and kept the kids safe while we were gone. The boys had a blast playing in the resort and I would definitely recommend!! Great experience! read more

We just came back from a vacation in Ponce, Puerto Rico and I am a HUGE fan of this company. the sitter that we used to watch our 2 children was not only on time each visit but really attentive and reported back everything that happened when we were away for the 4 hours. Each time the baby was sleeping when she arrived except for the final night. Our 4 year old was awake 2/3 times and really loved seeing her walk through the door on the 3rd night. I would totally use this service again and recommend to anyone that is traveling to Puerto Rico read more

This was a message I received in response to the review I posted nine months ago. As you can see, the company fails to take responsibility for their actions. I have also posted my response to their message. Nanny PR: We came across your comment and we have decided to provide you with a feed back in such a public forum. We feel deeply sorry that you have not understand the situation of a couple of accidents and manifestations all through the highway from airport to Condado area. We feel very sorry of the delays you suffered, again that was not under our control. We spoke on the phone, we sent you emails and we also sent you automated updates through our system, we had 23 calls registered from your phone number at a moment that we had 6 employees stuck in the same highway and still you should have mentioned that, you should have mention too that we did provided you with the service, gave you the discount and that you apparently kept calling after we were gone for the day due to some power failure that we also told you about. I am sorry that you could not understand and we feel more sorry that you have decided to use a public forum to ventilate a situation that we explained to you. Again, our apologies for such a delay, not under our control. My response: Clearly, you have issues with communication as I am not the only one that has commented about this problem. Yes, we spoke on the phone prior to my arrival to Puerto Rico, yes, we emailed and yes I received two automated messages- however none of this negates the fact that I did indeed call 23 times (due to severe lateness) ALL within your normal business hours and yet I had ZERO personal contact from you or your staff. You need to have a contingency plan in tact so that when emergencies and/or traffic occurs, your clients have a way of speaking with someone directly. For the prices you charge and the mere fact that we are entrusting our children with you, you need to understand that we expect more from a service like yours. It is not acceptable for you to say that the problem was beyond your control. It is your responsibility to have a response for these types of situations. And yes, I will use a public forum to air my grievances and ensure that other people do not have the same unfortunate experience that we did. I am sorry that you don't understand the importance of communicating with your clients and providing more professional service. read more

We hired a nanny for a day to go on a trip with my husband and I so I can go zip lining in Toro Verde. The nanny's name was Kimberly, she was fun and very helpful. She arrived early and was good to my baby girl. My baby girl loved her! Besides zip lining, we also went on a boat tour of San Juan. When we go back to PR, will definitely request Kimberly to be our nanny. read more

Like the previous reviewer, we used Nanny On Call PR, Inc. and also had decent email communication prior to our arrival in PR. It wasnt perfect, because I wanted to speak with someone and it took a decent amount of back and forth before I was able to talk to Lynn. We didn't have any issues with the timeliness of the provider showing up, but I did have a situation occur where I needed to contact Lynn while the provider was with our son. Lynn didn't answer the phone so I needed to leave a message. On my message, I asked her to call me on my cell phone asap and to please talk to me first before talking to the sitter so there would be no awkwardness. I also emailed Lynn. This was all during business hours. I didn't hear back from Lynn or anyone else for quite some time. When Lynn finally got back to me, it was in the form of an email, and it was after she contacted the sitter, which I had requested she refrain from doing before I had a chance to talk with Lynn directly. Yes, it's Lynn's business and she can choose to run it as she sees fit, but when I entrust someone with my children, I want better response time and more of a high-touch approach. For those considering using Nanny On Call PR, Inc. please be aware that if you have issues, you will not be able to speak with anyone and everything is done through email, and it is not prompt. I will say that the actual sitter was very good with our son. The sitter had another job so this was not her primary job, something we were also led to believe from Lynn. Overall you are probably safe going with this service, but just be warned of these issues. It is also quite expensive, and you could probably do just as well with Care.com for much less. read more

I wanted to share our experience with Nanny on Call PR. They were a tremendous help during our stay in San Juan. They were absolutely wonderful to and with our 2 year old. His eyes lit up every time one of them come to the room (he knew he was in for a lot of pool time). They seemed caring and patient with my little guy. Their services really allowed my husband and me to fully enjoy our vacation while still having our son with us. As these are people that don't know you at all and have never met or interacted with your children, you must be flexible. We know that our son is not a great eater and so we didn't have any restrictions. We gave the nannies cash or told them to charge food to our room to increase their ability to care for our son. The nannies we were assigned were sweet and seemed to genuinely enjoy taking care of children. I'm sure there are challenges with every new situation but Nanny on Call allowed us to have a vacation. When we travel we always get babysitters only from trusted recommendations, it is very difficult to get that, when you travel some hotels end up with a very dangerous listing of people (who knows who they are) or other business that are questionable. I did my research and find out that this business has been in the market for more than a decade and it has international outreach, this is the place to call if you want to enjoy adult quality time and have your children safe and sound. Most hotels use this company to serve their clients with trusted caretakers. We have three children 2 yo, 5yo and 8yo, we stayed at Marriott Stellaries and also at Conquistador. Our babysitter from Nanny on Call was wonderful, we also met the Director Lynn who was enjoying herself lunch with her family in one of the restaurants and she had the courtesy of coming over and meet us, very lovely lady. Very professional, very friendly and we just loved her new campaign against reckless handling of private information of families and children in hotels, it is crazy what some hotels do with your children information. Our babysitter had a rough time at first with my toddler, expected and understandable, so we moved schedule after nine to have him sleeping while the other two could interact with the babysitter. We used service at the Conquistador, when we find out it was not through this specialized program, we cancelled service to the hotel and Lynn explained to us not to worry because they were going to provide services to us regardless ; so we had our babysitter from Nanny on Call in this other location. We also suffered a delay due to bad weather on the first day of service, it is crazy the traffic in Condado zone, so we received a phone call to let us know about the delay, we also had an email and a text message. We understood, like why should I be mad for the delay created by traffic and rain? Certainly I was not expecting to call the office at night after they were closed and when we called during operating hours we left a message and they texted back, so we knew it was virtually impossible to reach out but they were there working on it, so not a big deal. Overall, we were happy, we loved the service, we trust Lynn, she really knows how to handle family needs and we are coming back and already made our babysitting arrangements directly with Nanny on Call. read more

I used a babysitter from Nanny on Call and the service was outstanding, not only did I called very late for service, but I made some specific requests that were considered by the manager of the office. They explained to me how I needed to follow the rules as a responsible parent but also explained to me how the system worked, and it did work. At first I was a little bit concerned but then I realized that this is not a listing service but trained and dully employees working in the company. I am reading the other two reviews and it is a complete the other way around experience to me and my wife. When I talked to the Director on the next day (I liked the babysitter so much, we ended up using 5 nights) and I brought up my curiosity about it, she gave me the best explanation in a very professional manner; she said that sometimes parents want a service to work their way and not following the rules and that sometimes it is best to not respond to someone who is not in the best attitude to work for the sake of their children and I completely understood then what she meant. It is very unfortunate those reviews for such a wonderful and responsible service that it has been operating like 10 years without any bad reviews. I guess they did not make it their way and needed to vent their frustration some how. Anyways, great service, very safe, very honest childcare providers and my children loved their babysitter. (one girl 5 years old, and 8 month baby). We have sent some other friends to use this service and so far everybody is happy. read more
