Super friendly staff and cozy little inside. Love the courtyard area to sit! The flavors are very specific & could absolutely use more flavor to them. For instance, raspberry basil could use more raspberry & basil both, as it was more cream than anything. Same with all the other flavors we tried. Candied bacon was probably the only one that was very distinct. Horchata was good but could def use more cinnamon taste to it. Overall, very good for the specific area for a treat. read more

Hit the gift shop first for some "local" honey (came from Graceville), then walked across the street to the dairy place. Easy on street parking and basically no traffic so that was pleasant. I immediately knew what I would get but my spouse was indecisive but the staff was more than happy to provide plenty of samples so a final decision could be made. We both got milkshakes and they were reasonably priced and tasty. A definite must visit if in town. read more

First of all it's an adorable store! Everyone is so happy and friendly! They encouraged us to try as many flavors as we wanted to, my husband tried one and got it, the Salty Caramel. There was another customer in at the same time as we were and between the two of us I think we tried almost everything! He would try one and tell me "Oh you got to try this one" It was almost impossible to decide which one because they were all so good!! I ended up getting the Butterscotch, the most creamy flavorful ice cream I have had in a long while. Clark also had his in a waffle cone and thought it the best he's ever had, light and crispy. Of course they make those daily. Across the street is a Southern Craft Creamery market that sells their own milk along with assorted desserts, gluten free options also. I've had this little creamery on my short list for well over a year. Finally made the trip to Marianna this week. As expected, the ice cream is definitely the star of the show. It's outstanding! The first thing I noticed upon walking in was the cleanliness of the shop. I'm talking spotlessly clean, from the doors to the floors to the kitchen to the restroom. That's a big plus IMO, and not something you see often enough. The service was also very good. We were offered samples of the various flavors. I thought I knew what I was going to order, until I tasted the strawberry balsamic. It was so good that I had to have it... in a handmade waffle cone. Delicious! I also bought a pint of salty caramel to go ($7, which is a bargain compared to bigger city small batch ice creameries), as well as a drip coffee. In addition to ice cream and coffee, the shop also offers some packaged milk and cheese as well as frozen meats from a local butcher. The only thing holding me back from awarding a full five stars is the early closing time (4:30pm), which may simply be due to small town staffing difficulties, but this place has so much more potential and deserves our support. Absolutely worth the ten minute detour off I-10 next time you're driving across north Florida... as long as it's before 4:30pm Central Time. read more

This place is amazing. I've been there twice and the first time I went there was this super kind and sweet gentleman who worked there. Super friendly and all around great. The ice cream was heavenly I highly recommend the toffee peacan ice cream it was the best I've cream I've ever had. And the the second time I went I got the milk chocolate milkshake and it only lasted 5 minutes but all around a 10/10 ice cream store and the the left of it is their ice cream shop if you're looking for some pastries, honey, beef jerky, or "drink" add ins. read more

This is a small mom & pop ice cream shop. It's a really nice facility with seating both inside and outside. They have a dozen or do flavors to choose from. You can have it in a waffle cone or bowl or made into a shake. I tried their dark chocolate w/sea salt but made into a shake. It was pretty good...especially on a hot & humid day! They also had a freezer with some frozen meat that looked good. I think the meat was from a local producer. Nice staff. Limited street parking...basically just the one-way street. Definitely pricey in my book. But sometimes you gotta try out the local places. There's a lot of potential here. But they're open for just a few hours a day. I think that hurts them...especially during the warmer months. I think you'll need to judge for yourself whether or not the taste and size are worth what you pay. read more

I discovered this place by chance - on the way to the Florida caverns park! It is probably one of the best creameries I've been to in this country and Canada. (I've been to a few in NYC, Nashville, Montreal, Vancouver, Minneapolis, Asheville, SF, and other small towns). We tried salted caramel (phenomenal flavor& texture) , salted dark chocolate (perfect amount of saltiness& deep chocolate flavor), horchata (a bit too strong with cinnamon, but really good), espresso almond (very good, but next to the salted caramel a bit less memorable), and cranberry chocolate chip (recommended by the cashier, which was really great flavor combo). Their waffle cone is so beautiful with buttery flavor and perfect texture that's like a beautiful cookie, not the fried out or too chewy waffles that you often find. And the affogato (only $2.80) with espresso made with Amavida beans and sweet cream ice cream was really delicious. There was a bit of icy-bits in 2 of them, but not a bid deal. Overall everything had really distinctive, great flavors with wonderful thick, creamy texture. On top of all this, they were great with masks and spaced out outdoor seatings. And it's super cute! I think I'll make a day trip out just to enjoy this gem any time. I also love that they source their milk locally. This place was such a wonderful place to come across! Traveling in the area I found that there wasn't much in the way of nice places to stop and get work done or really to have a good coffee drink. So finding this was a breathe of fresh air! It it's super cute and has a great farm to table atmosphere. Literally. The milk comes from the cows on their farms. They have a great selection of ice cream as well as coffee/espresso drinks to choose from. I got the caramel cold brew and I kid you not it was probably the best cold brew I've ever had. I was shocked. Next time I'm dying to try their arrogato because all of the ice cream there looked amazing. It was a nice place to stay a while and work while enjoying good coffee. For about 2 months, one of my buddies bragged about this creamery in Marianna having the best chocolate milk. He tried to think of everything to make the out of way trip to Marianna to get back to Southern Craft Creamery. After much nagging, I made the trip without him Haha! But damn, wasn't he right?! Southern Craft sits on Jefferson Street near US HWY 90 in downtown Marianna in what looks like a remodeled modern building. They just opened in December and were so new, I had the pleasure of adding them to Yelp! There really isn't much to look at when you go in except the chalkboard and ice cream case. Sooo I'm confused about why my buddy kept telling me about the chocolate milk when Southern Craft sells 2 things...ice cream and coffee. All the ice cream came straight from their own dairy as of that morning, according to the lady that met me at the counter. I really wanted something chocolatey. I asked for a milkshake since I was on the go, but sadly, no milkshakes yet. But the lady had the solution of a frappecino with no coffee. It passed the test with flying colors...easily one of the best chocolate milk drinks I've ever had. It was succulent, velvety, smooth, and the best part...fine chocolate. Total was $5.32. I was also able to sample some ice cream. I sampled buttermilk which was pretty good. But there was a flavor called sweet potato praline. If the chocolate wasn't so magnificent, that would have been my choice. Sooo next time I'm within the vincinty of Marianna...aw, screw it! I'm making a special trip from southeast Alabama often to get ice cream from Southern Craft. read more
