I really liked most of the flow, the instructor was challenging and there was one pose thrown in I had never done before. The big downside was that I didn't get the accepting feel I usually get from yoga classes, ones that encouage you to "listen to your body" and "take child's pose whenever you need it." This environment felt very competitive and more like a yoga boot camp than a yoga class. I got the impression that the instructor was more concerned about toning than relaxation. If I went back to Nantucket, I would continue to do classes by myself on the beach rather than coming here.

SURFSIDE BEACH is amazing…read more First of all, it's beautiful. Look at all that sea grass! Second of all, it's free. Third of all, there is a large parking lot. Fourth of all, there is VERY large parking lot for the bicycles. Fifth and not the least, it has SURFSIDE BEACH SHACK. This beach is understandably busy; not to worry, they have a lifeguard on duty. How lucky are the houses whose backyards are right on this beach?!

The beaches along this path are not visible from the road as they are all private for the residents. It was a really special family afternoon and we could not have done it without this rental agency. Honestly before this summer I did not know that you could even rent a motor boat on Nantucket. Fortunately I walked by the stand and got the idea. The service was awesome. You sign up online and pick the boat you want. When we showed up they had upgraded me to a bigger better boat. Then after the first hour of the trip it was clear the engine wasn't working perfectly (but it was OK) and so I actually had the cell phone of Brandon, the guy who helped us at the dock, and he literally came out and swapped out another bigger and better boat for us! Talk about customer service! The boats are solid and sturdy but nothing fancy. Honestly people rent them every day so there's no way you could possibly get a fancy brand spanking new boat through a rental agency. But they are solid and they work and it's just a fantastic way to explore Nantucket Harbor and the surrounding beaches. Truly an amazing day and again the customer service by Brandon was absolutely 10 out of 10. He could not of been a more helpful guy.

What it has going for it: 1. A great selection of skimboards, reasonably priced (for ACK), from $50 wooden boards on up to high end carbon fiber. AND there's a massive amount of in-house expertise on skimboards circa June 2026, in the form of Teddy. Teddy was willing to generously share his knowledge and then gave us plenty of space to choose what we wanted without any pressure at all. WHAT A WINNER!!! 2. The Pardner and I are senile and of course forgot one of our wetsuits; surfboard wax; and swim goggles -- in addition to our progeny's skimboard. And we broke one of our boogie boards on day one. Force Five had us covered for all of the above, at prices that were not rapacious. We'll probably be back to see if they have fins that will fit this weirdo surfboard of ours, and see if we don't set a record for the most visits by a non-employee.

Decisions, decisions. My 'a ha' moment came when I thought of Force Five. This is a great surf shop. From flip flops to bathing suits, to sunglasses to "surf" clothes, Force Five has an extensive selection of some really great stuff and not marked up from their suggested retail prices. Brands include Roxy, Volcom, Billabong, and the likes; designer clothes it is not. I think they also sell surf boards and boogie boards, but don't hold me to that. Come off-season for sales, but even during summer, you can still walk away with some good stuff without breaking the bank.

They have 1 touch tank with some crabs and clams that you can touch and pick up. They have 1 tank that you can look into with a young shark, more crabs and young fish that was pretty cool. Inside the 2 enclosed rooms they have more tanks filled with baby fish, a lobster, etc... Highlight: seeing a shark fetus swimming around in a sac before being born. And also seeing a newborn shark and puffer fish. $10/adult and $8/child. A little pricey for what it is, but sigh, Nantucket. I feel like children's admission should always be free for educational purposes, but that's just me. Staff and volunteers were nice and enthusiastic!

If you have kids this place has it all…read more.. This review is on the park and not on the food... As we didn't eat there Went there with my 20month old and we had a blast... They must have 6 picnic benches with most of them in the shade which is very beneficial. Also have plenty of park benches too. The grass area is also very nice. It's not huge but enough for kids to run around and have a good time. The big toy is aged, but still very nice and they have toddler swings. Yes, the beach isn't large, as it is the same size as it was 30 years ago. They have the are roped off. There is plenty of beach are for kids to play in the sand. There are life guards there too...
