I was in an auto accident and my car got totaled. I could not do a deep cleaning because of my accident. I hired Quigley's Handy Hands. When he arrived I shared that I wanted to have my Nin knack to be dusted, baseboards and cabinets wiped down; window and frames to also be wiped down and my bathrooms and bedrooms to get cleaned. And vacuum and wash the floors I was not feeling well and said I needed to take a nap. I fell asleep for over 3 hours. I woke up and he did not put away anything that de dusted. He left them scattered all over my living room floor and couch. He said he wanted $250 dollars. I said we agreed that I would pay him once the job was completed. I felt pressured to pay, so I did. I said you did not even finish the job. He promised that he would come back the next day between 7:30 and 8:30. I did not hear from him and he got to my house I think around 10:30. I asked him why did he not call or text me saying he was going to be late. When I asked him he acted like it was no big deal. I shared the day before I had Dr. appointments and was only available in the early morning. He did not do the job. Given the fact that I had given him 250.00 and the job was not done I was not going to let him clean my house without being there. He said he would come the next day between 7:30 and 8:00. I did not hear anything from him. I left him a message to not to come. Although he did come around 10:30. I felt like I was ripped off. I was frustrated. I looked around the house. None of the floors were vacuumed or washed, the baseboards and cabinets were cleaned, no shelves had been dusted. Nothing was done that I could see. He did nothing in the bedrooms or bath rooms. I tried to start to clean but was in too much pain and I needed to stop. I sent him a text or voice mail saying that I had decided to have him clean the house since I payed him. On Saturday he send me a text saying he would be at my house on Sunday in the morning. I did not want to pressure him so I did not question what time it in the morning. I had looked at the time and it was around 12:30. No communication from him. I called to ask him what happened. He got a hold of me, and left a message that he could not find his keys. I got the message a few hours later. I told him that I was going to be home. Never called, texted or came. I shared that I was out $250.00 and my house has not gotten cleaned. I told him I was thinking about taking him to small claims. He sent me a text saying I " was not listening or did not understand what he was saying. BUT she defended her staff and TRULY likes her staff, and her retention rate was great, she mentioned. Okay, I will take her on her word. In comes the first deep clean..here we go. She warned me it was a FULL day.. and it was. When I tell you there were no less than 10 people in this house top and bottom floors, I'm not joking. I watched them like bees in a hive. I've owned rental properties throughout the Midwest, I've retained MANY move in, move out and continual cleaning services. But I have never seen what they did. None of them spoke a word. Yet in tandem, did things I never even thought to do. There was no weird odor, no smell, no chit chat, no laughing no talking no nonsense. This group was HERE TO DO A JOB. I sat here, in my chair, in AWE and watched as [what I call kids..all in their 20's and 30's] worked like a successful unit. Here is the truth-I was exhausted. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Watching my home being transformed into something immaculate, my sanctuary becoming spotless. One by one cleaning and picking up as they went, by the end of an 8 hour day they were gone and I had not recognized my home by clock out time. What they did, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO. No sitting on their phones, no loud music, no TEXTING, NO TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER WASTING TIME.. I was so appreciative you have no idea. I watched them ALL like hawks, but there was ZERO to watch for.
