Aloha, I'm writing this letter today, to make you aware of…read morean incident that happened at a Car Quest location in Waimea, Hawaii on August 6th, 2021 at approx. 4pm, that was both unprofessional and extremely scary. I came into the Car Quest store in Waimea and said, How you to the clerk, and he responded with, What do you need. At that time, I felt that was a rather rude response to my polite introduction, I said, usually people respond in return, and the clerk began to banter with me about what he said and how I responded. I decided to leave the store and said have a good day, at that time, He came from behind the counter in a threatening manner approached me at the door as I was exiting, and said Don't ever let me catch you outside of the store, at this time he had pulled his mask down and was extremely violent in his actions, This is considered Terroristic Threatening and is not being taken lightly. As if this is NOT BAD ENOUGH, At approximately 4:45p I was at the gas station next door that adjoins the Car Quest property getting gas and the clerk from the Car Quest came outside and was yelling and cursing at me and then approached me in the gas station parking lot and said He was going to snap my neck. The clerk is very unprofessional, extremely violent and a threat to your bottom line. I do not know if this is a Legal or Civil Matter, I do feel there must be consequences to this extremely unfortunate incident. This all could have been avoided with some simple Customer Service. I ask that you review your security system footage for verification and I am making a formal request in writing that any and all digital video and audio of this event that you possess be retained for future consideration by interested parties. The girl in the office couldn't stop coughing, looked super sick. Now is not a good time to be working sick. We were told be 2 people to have them check the tires before we buy because they're known for selling and making money off rims and tires even if they dont hold air. We were mainly looking for rims anyway. The lady in the front told us how much it would cost for rim and tire and the tire was flat. We had to ask if we could get some air in it and check for leaks. We waited for some time but eventually someone came down and took the tire. My husband walked with him asking if they had anymore of the same rims? No answer. He tried to make some small talk, nothing in reply. He ended up jumping in a car and speeding off leaving my husband in his dust. Super rude! We ended up waiting for awhile not even knowing if he was coming back. Eventually he did, my husband asked if there were any leaks, he said nothing and started walking away. So I asked again, is it holding the air? And he just sped off again. Real shady. The lady in the front could clearly hear how frustrated we were with no answers but also stayed quite and just asked us for money. She also charged a random disposal fee for what? We didnt ask to dispose of anything. This is the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. Shady business for sure, we will not be going back.

Came here to get a head gasket job done. Was quoted $2200…read more Owner suggested we also do a few other things while we were in there and we agreed. Price went up to $2500 Then they found other parts that needed replacement. Ok, we're just below 3,000 Suddenly the bill is over $4900 when we go to pick the car up. Jeremy claims there was additional things they found wrong and that he notified us. (he didn't and these new charges were a surprise) As we start going through the bill, we notice we're being charged for labor and parts that should have been included in the original price for the head gasket. Then, the additional parts are priced at 2-3x what they should be with outrageous labor charges. ($200 in labor to replace a thermostat which takes 10 minutes to remove 2 bolts.) Owner refuses to release the vehicle unless we pay and we have a bunch of back and forth where he starts dropping the price but still wants to charge stupid labor charges and more. Then he pulls up high prices on the computer to justify his high costs. Same parts I found for 1/2 to 1/3 the price. Now we also discover they didn't put certain parts back on the vehicle when they finished and there is a missing exhaust cover. So not only do they overcharge the work is sloppy. I cannot recommend this shop at all. They don't honor their quotes, jack up the price of parts then refuse to release your vehicle until you pay. 0 stars if I could.
