There was a mic set up and I would have preferred that the artists done brief presentations on their exhibits with the mic before they mingled. The event felt a bit chaotic and my group left quickly when we realized that the artists were not doing formal talks. We enjoyed walking along the river to watch the sunset instead near the lighted art exhibits!

Very kind, and knowledgeable about his product. You can definitely taste the different notes and nuances of each port. You can definitely tell (taste) which one was aged longer and was thus more expensive. From thiner and lighter ports to more caramel and thicker ports. They have a great selection of ports here!! I really love the ambiance of this place. We had a table all to ourselves outside. In fact, we had the entire outside area to ourselves. Really felt exclusive. They have a silver lab named Jake (from state farm), roaming the premise. Super friendly but controlled dog. Really enjoyed Jake greeting us at the entrance. Came and made his rounds every now and again to make sure everything was going good. Port tasting could be split amongst 2 people. So even though there was 6 of us we were able to do 3 tastings only. And mote from our group was able to get some tasting in as well. Super chill and relaxed vibes. For each bottle you buy, you get 50% off of the port tasting. So with each bottle you save about $25 bucks for the tasting. Overall, an amazing winery. If you want to try something different. Back on the 9th I went into Rebel looking to buy a bottle of Jason's Moonwalker wine but he wasn't in and they don't have those bottles at the tasting room. But I was given Jason's number to call to try to get a bottle while I was still in town. I gave him a call and left a voicemail explaining that I'd like to buy a bottle of wine and how he can reach me if he had a bottle available. I didn't get a call back and as I was leaving town that weekend I discovered I could order a bottle myself online at Holmancellars.com. When I ordered I got an email saying the order had been received. The email was auto sent from Jason's personal email and so I tried to respond and let him know that I'd be in town one more day if it would be easier to pick it up myself. I again didn't get a response. I ended up coming home and maybe a week later after not seeing the order come I gave him another call and left another voicemail. Still no response. I emailed him again, no response. I then called rebel and spoke to a woman who was nice and let me know she'd reach out to him and call me back. She did get back to me about 20 minutes later and let me know he said it would be shipped the following Monday. So again I wait another week with no information, tracking number or the order at all. I called again to Rebel and spoke to one of the other wine makers who said he's not in and took my number to let him know I called. Still no response from Jason. The wine makers at Rebel let me know I could text him so I did that. Still zero response and no order. By this time it was the 30th and the day after that I disputed the $150 charge from the order I didn't get. Today is the 10th and I got my money back. So I don't know what his deal was or why he can't seem to take the seconds to respond to someone wanting to buy his wine but I strongly recommend not buying from Jason. I had no communication from him and if it wasn't for my bank, I would've lost $150. He had more than enough opportunities to resolve this. Further, please stay away from his website. It feels more like a scam than an actual website to buy his products. UPDATE: 5:32PM After this review Jason messaged me on here directly and said the following: "Hi Casey! I'm so sorry about your experience! I have been a one man show at the winery this year and harvest has been kicking my butt. This being said, I moved my moonwalker inventory to a private wine storage location where I have high security. Please note that the high heat in California and across the country has deterred my wine shipments until October 1. If you'd still like a bottle of moonwalker, I would be happy to ship you one after October 1st. By then I will have harvest at a lull, and back to answering voicemails. Thanks Casey" I responded letting him know I appreciated hearing from him and I completely understand that he's busy. Most of this was because I had no contact conveying this. I of course am still interested in his wine and in no way am I trying to put him on blast. As such I wanted to update my review in light of this new information. I appreciate that he reached out.

We experienced several different tastings throughout the day and this might of been the best of them. We enjoyed talking with Kevin who told us everything about what goes into making wine. At other places you may be overly pampered and impressed by views, but here I learned so much about the wine business and process. This was truly the most valuable experience of the day. We still had all the same wine tasting perks as any other experience, but this intimate experience was like none other. We tried several wines for $25 per person. This included a charcuterie plate with various items to snack on. Again, we learned a lot. It was just my wife and I and Kevin. We had the entire place to ourselves. He showed us around and explained anything and everything to us. Why they do what the do and how. I would strongly recommend this experience for someone to truly understand what it takes to make a bottle of wine. This will make you really appreciate a glass when you have one.

We went during off season so there wasn't much to see on the vines per se, but getting to walk around and seeing all of it from a high vantage point was pretty stellar. Of course we all took a couple bottles with us and look forward to having it soon! We got to go down to the cellar and see some super old wines stored. What a cool experience!

This is not a small cramped space. This gallery is as classy as they come. And I didn't feel the unwelcome assessment other galleries in that area are apparently obligated to dispense.
