Through his elementary & high school years (4th-12th grade) we had to drive outside of Napa to Vallejo, Fairfield, and Marin to keep him in competitive leagues. I found out about Legends Hoops in 2015 through a co-worker while looking around for a youth program for my youngest son, who was going into 3rd grade at the time. It's still nearly impossible in Napa to find a good quality local basketball program that challenges and promotes growth for these younger age groups. I could tell after the first workshop my son attended that Legends Hoops offered what we were looking for in a youth basketball program. The coaches are great, there's a strong focus on fundamentals, and it's affordable. I'm pleased with the program so far, and hope others will benefit from it in the same way!

I don't have kids, but I've seen them working with kids, and if I had kids... this is where I'd have them train. They know what they're doing and if your kids are serious about basketball, they need personalized training like this early on in their development. Napans should be lucky they have a local resource because most cities this size don't. Speaking as an adult, they've been just as great. I recently moved to Napa and Mike found me a team for the winter and spring seasons in the city's rec league and right away invited me to their Sunday night open gyms. Basketball is just a hobby now as I approach my 30s but the level of organization they put into the open gyms and the rec league is really stunning. It's high competition without all of the usual problems (complaining, too much waiting) of most city's open gyms and leagues. You can actually work out and have fun for 2 hours instead of sitting around watching people argue calls. This isn't a side gig for Mike and Zane -- they're professionals, and you can expect professional treatment whether you are just getting started in sports or you've been doing it (poorly) for a few decades, these are the guys to see.

It is hugely popular with those who enjoy Pickleball and there is no cost associated with playing. The main building houses two basketball courts which also double as volleyball and badminton courts. They have a children's classroom which is used for pre-K kids and have a summer camp event. They have signs posted at the main entrance for their upcoming events. I saw major improvements in less that 12 workouts. And every month I get stronger and stronger. He puts his heart and soul into this gym and has been an amazing motivator and encourager. He happily shares his knowledge with us about health, nutrition and fitness. This is not for the person looking for an easy way to get fit. It's for those willing to do what it takes to be better. I arrived to the gym for an "assessment" and found this experience to be one of the worst in my entire 41 years! The owner/trainer was demeaning, degrading, unsupportive and super egotistical. All he talked about was his military experience and how he was like the "government" watching and listening to everything his clients do. He proceeded to have me do his assessment workout with no warmup and minimal instruction. As I was doing the workout he laughed at me and told me that a woman twice my age was able to do the workout 4 times more than what I could do. I wouldn't recommend this gym to my worse enemy! I understand the structure and discipline cheer has. But I will never let a person talk to my kids or other parents kids in that way. They are children! They will not stay still. I did not put my kids for competition which I found out later that the program cared for competing. I put them to expose them to something different something fun. Not to be yelled at and making them feel they can't do something right. Today not only was the coach 30 min late, she drove very fast into the drive way where all the kids and parents were waiting she also made hand movements from inside her car to move some parents including my husband out of her way. She then is upset at who know what. Kicks out the parents from the class to have a "private" class to. Only yell at the kids. Her loud voice was heard outside by parents which all had something to say among them. Same day, I had to withdraw my kids. I will never let any one talk to my kids that way. Get your anger and frustration out on yourself but not my kids or other kids. It's a shame and embarrassment to this organization. I will NOT be referring this program to any parents and I will let the principal at their school know the behavior this lady projects to the kids and family. This organization does not need the support from my children's school or community.

This large rectangular park is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of the Napa city…read morelimits. It is basically a very large green space with three groves of trees that act as shady picnic spots. There is a very well designed children's play scape, basketball court, and a small softball backdrop. One thing I was surprised not to see was a trail that would run around the perimeter. However, there is a sidewalk that runs the length of one side of the park. The main picnic spot by the playscape is available to reserve for private parties. Parking along Douglas Avenue is the best option. There is a porta potty on site as well. Plenty of informative photos to get you here.
