Not only is this a wonderful place to train, the gym is fully equipped with a banquet room in the back portion of the facility so you're able to rent out the whole gym & throw a party! There's a full fridge, sink, 4 big tables & about 20 chairs. There's also an area where I was able to put a balloon arch for photos & a couch and more tables, so it can accommodate a big party. There's a speaker system that you can connect to & play your play list while the kids play basketball. I appreciate the nice clean restroom for my guests. I recently just rented the facility & threw my son his 12th birthday: 3 point shooting contest, 3 on 3, Knock Out, food, cake, and lots of laughs!! He had the best time ballin' with his friends. I highly recommend everything about this place. Thanks for everything Coach Dre!

The space is clean, well-maintained, and has a good number of courts for basketball, boxing, and badminton. Even when it's busy, the layout makes it feel organized and not too chaotic. For badminton, they do provide rackets but it is first come first serve: The staff is always friendly and helpful, which adds to the welcoming vibe. There's also a vending machine for quick snacks or drinks, which comes in handy during longer sessions. Only downside is that parking can be a bit tight when it gets crowded, so plan to arrive early if you can. I'm not sure if the $7 drop-in applies to all sports or just badminton, so it's worth calling ahead if you're interested in something else. Overall, a great place to get active indoors! Would definitely recommend it for casual or more serious play.

I am in the camp of those who play in the evenings, and I am always pleased with the folks who come through. It is not an ideal setting for competitive play, since the floors are a bit slippery and the lighting often hangs directly above the courts. But the people are great, and the hours go late enough to where it is easy to get a rigorous workout. There are also affordable vending machines, and the location is super close to a lot of bars and restaurants that you can head to when the workout is over. I don't care if it isn't regulation. I love playing here, and I have been for years. I don't plan on quitting any time soon!

Long story short, if…read moreyou go to the ER while you are here or shortly after, you have to immediately return with a copy of a doctor's note or email it. You need to do this asap and specify freezes on all services. If you have Kids Klub, END IT. I went to Vivian who was there the last time I had an ER visit a couple years ago: this past December, I was injured again suddenly on site during a training appointment (due to my body/health situation, not my trainer or an exercise injury) and I let her know I was getting a ride to the ER this time instead of an ambulance, since it was a was a touch less urgent. She was responsive this day and seemed to enter the freezes correctly. I dropped off the first note 2 days later to support a freeze for a couple months since a major surgery would get scheduled. I was told I had an 8" growth and cancer in my blood and had to wait the entire winter holidays for further info until doctors were back in the hospital. A few weeks later the billing began... I called Vivian and mentioned my bank was informed of my condition and knew to not pay the bills until a certain date. She laughed and said I'd be billed later anyways. I felt like "I have cancer again, I could die this time with this huge growth. She's laughing at me." I know it was not personal, but forgive me, I'll never forget the feeling of thinking I might die and getting this is the response while asking for help. My health is poor after surviving breast cancer treatments in 2020 and they wrecked parts of my body but eradicated an aggressive form of breast cancer. I don't want to go into how bad the type is, but the odds are very bad with that type and they use the highest doses of their most aggressive chemo to eradicate the cancer. That's why I struggle and have gone to the ER twice in a couple years. But working out improves my condition, so it's essential. I'm so glad I found out a few days later that the current ER test was a misdiagnosis. I eventually received a big surgery, recovered and called in to sort out the bills that were waiting for me. Because I was experienced in navigating the disorganized billing practices, it was a smaller bill this time. I reached a teleservice rep who had her manager Mark look into it and it was fixed after 3 phone calls for a full refund. I know it's not personal. But I've decided that clearly this is not customer service at all. This is just workers, protecting themselves and the company and you just have to advocate super quick, do the footwork and calls and take notes, document, stay on it, trust nothing, stay positive and confirm and be persistent. Most businesses exhibit hospitality and customer service at an average level. Often if a medical incident occurs you'll get a compassionate response and excellent customer care. Not here, you will get compassion at first and solutions that fall through. Then they will lose confidence and be strained but still attempt to help. Eventually, it requires an escalation and manager intervention to correct the situation. The in-gym customer service experience will be good about situational things like everyday interactions. But if your issue has ANYTHING to do with billing, there is no safety net no matter how serious your medical situation. Had I only had a normal membership instead of a training membership too, I probably could have just canceled or never been the wiser. I'm actually hopeful no one ever has to experience this zone that they are weak at. But if you do, stay flexible, positive, and stay on it. Good luck and good health! I saw billing fees,

Her and the ball were mortal enemies. lol My daughter showed no interest in sports. She played volleyball at lunch and decided to give it a try. This was a pleasant surprise. So, I ran with this quickly. I googled for clubs near us and found this one. Sarah was funny and understanding when I spoke to her on the phone. I had a positive feeling about this. In the beginning, she did private lessons with Coach Sarah. Watching it would occasionally make me cringe internally. lol However, she was giving it a try. She was starting to smile more and more each lesson. She asked me to buy her a volleyball. This was another thing that surprised me! I rushed to the store! lol She started to practice at home everyday. She told coach. Coach Sarah told her to give herself a weekly break. No practicing for 2 days a week. She worked hard. Her progress with serving was incredible. She went from not being able to touch the ball when trying to serve, to getting the ball over the net with under-handing it, to putting it over with her overhand! The 3 of us were so excited when that first one happened! Coach Sarah told me to keep recording through each serve. Thankfully, I listened! I got it recorded! So, after a while she tried out for the club and made it!!! We were both relived. Coach Sarah emphasized that she didn't believe in special treatment. I appreciated that. So we kept our private lessons and went to clinics before the tryouts. Though we would have loved to have had Coach Sarah as a coach, we understand about her not being able to coach every team. We had practice 2 days a week, we had tournaments roughly every few weeks, and we had a good tailgating experience. She's already practicing for the next tryouts! I told her to take a break and she won't listen to me. She will listen to coach before me. In fact, I'll make that call right after I post this review!

However, after what we experienced with East Bay Volleyball Club, I feel other families deserve to know what they could potentially be walking into before making the commitment. My daughter played on the P1 team under Director/Coach Sarah Talton. We joined because we believed in the environment and values that were presented early in the season -- a program focused on supporting athletes, building confidence, developing skills, and creating positive opportunities for girls in the sport. Unfortunately, our experience throughout the season did not reflect those values. As the season progressed, there were ongoing issues with communication, professionalism, leadership, and the way players were spoken to and treated. There was constant turnover and inconsistency with coaching staff, and at times the girls were left without coaching direction during matches when the coach stepped away from the bench. Families were also promised three practices plus conditioning, yet those expectations were not consistently met. At one point, parents were told the girls "weren't ready" for conditioning, which was difficult to understand considering conditioning is meant to help athletes improve and prepare physically throughout the season. The breaking point for our family came during an end-of-season tournament when the team was forced to forfeit three matches they had already won because players were not properly rostered/cleared to compete. The girls worked hard for those wins after an already difficult season, only to lose them over preventable administrative issues that were completely within the club's control. What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of accountability afterward. When concerns were brought to Sarah by parents, they were dismissed rather than taken seriously. At the end of the day, the environment we experienced did not align with our family's values when it comes to honesty, accountability, professionalism, and respect for young athletes. Based on our experience, this is not a club I will be returning to.

TLDR: stay clear of this place, unless you like paying thousands for glorified day care…read more UPDATE - response to owner's (Cheronda A.) reply to this review: Hi Cheronda, I already did exactly what you suggest, before leaving this review I reached out to you directly to raise my concerns, which you refused to address after which you ended our conversation by writing quote; "There will be no further correspondence on this matter.", which now results in your incongruity between your private and public communication being on public display. Original review: British Swim School's Vallejo location, run by Cheronda A. and team, advertise their program as being able to "instilling water survival skills that save lives". After 17 months (64 lessons) and $2500 down the drain, we pulled our son from this program due to it being more akin to an aquatic day care (with you as the parent remaining present) than a swim program. The people at the school are nice enough interpersonally, but these are the red flags to notice: - After an initial few weeks you stop getting feedback, which when given is always verbally and never through skill progress item in the British Swim School's app. If you challenge the owner (Cheronda A.) on this, you will be gaslighted in there being more feedback than there actually is, and that it is their policy to only give verbal feedback versus using the app for what it is intended. - You'll notice your child will have many different instructors throughout lessons, with great variety as seniority as instructors. - You're paying about $40 for a 30min session, but on avg. there are 4 kids per classes, meaning even if you round up that's $40 for 10 minutes of instruction, as in the 64 "lessons" we paid for equates to having paid $2500 for less than 11 hours of instruction. - The lessons are utterly simple snd repetitive, and not lessons at all, the same 4 simple things are just endlessly repeated without any coaching or guidance from the instructors towards the child as to what to do different or how to improve. - The final straw, when you confront them on the inadequacies listed above, they will a) gaslight you in terms of feedback cycles, but much much worse, b) blame the lack of results on your child. In summary, this school will happily take your money for providing very little, and in terms of practical outcomes are operating in opposition of their mission statement.

I did not put my kids for competition which I found out later that the program cared for competing. I put them to expose them to something different something fun. Not to be yelled at and making them feel they can't do something right. Today not only was the coach 30 min late, she drove very fast into the drive way where all the kids and parents were waiting she also made hand movements from inside her car to move some parents including my husband out of her way. She then is upset at who know what. Kicks out the parents from the class to have a "private" class to. Only yell at the kids. Her loud voice was heard outside by parents which all had something to say among them. Same day, I had to withdraw my kids. I will never let any one talk to my kids that way. Get your anger and frustration out on yourself but not my kids or other kids. It's a shame and embarrassment to this organization. I will NOT be referring this program to any parents and I will let the principal at their school know the behavior this lady projects to the kids and family.
