Every session was dynamic. In the past 5 months that we've trained together, we have never duplicated a single workout! She keeps it fun, interesting and motivating. I'm always excited (and nervous) to see what she has in store for me each session. Christina has impacted my life and for that I'm very appreciative. Having suffered sports related injuries in the past, as well as two C sections, there were times where I was uncomfortable with certain exercises. Her background in Corrective exercise and collaboration with physical therapists served well in adapting workouts so I could maximize movements in the safest possible way. But it doesn't stop there. I've worked with trainers in the past and although they gave me a good workout & some basic education, they never left me with the confidence that I could eventually do all those things on my own Christina not only encouraged me through frequent check ins and holding me accountable on our "off days" but also by being the example. She practices what she preaches including stretching, diet & self care (all things I struggle with). What has left the deepest impression is that she believed in me more than I did myself. When I came in for a workout not feeling like being there, she worked me extra hard. When she showed me an exercise and I said "There's no way I can do that!" She proved me wrong. Once I arrived after watching an episode of "Hard Knocks" and I was describing a crazy workout they did on a balance ball & she said You can do it!! (....be careful what you share! ) But you know what I DID DO IT....i would've never attempted if she didn't believe in me and give me that push. Her no nonsense approach pushes you past your limits and gets you the most out of your workouts but she balances it with deep desire to see you succeed, not only in her gym, but in life! The heated classes are the best--you leave drenched, feeling stronger, and somehow manage to have a blast while doing it. The energy is contagious, the music is on point, and the atmosphere is welcoming, supportive, and just plain FUN. M.E., the owner, has created something really special. And the instructors--Aja, Sydney, Paris, and Ashton--are all phenomenal. They each bring their own style, but every class leaves me feeling challenged, encouraged, and accomplished. They know what they're doing and if your kids are serious about basketball, they need personalized training like this early on in their development. Napans should be lucky they have a local resource because most cities this size don't. Speaking as an adult, they've been just as great. I recently moved to Napa and Mike found me a team for the winter and spring seasons in the city's rec league and right away invited me to their Sunday night open gyms. Basketball is just a hobby now as I approach my 30s but the level of organization they put into the open gyms and the rec league is really stunning. It's high competition without all of the usual problems (complaining, too much waiting) of most city's open gyms and leagues. You can actually work out and have fun for 2 hours instead of sitting around watching people argue calls. This isn't a side gig for Mike and Zane -- they're professionals, and you can expect professional treatment whether you are just getting started in sports or you've been doing it (poorly) for a few decades, these are the guys to see.
