It's actually not just a gym, it's a wellness center and is not for everybody. I toured the new Health-quest and it was nothing compare to Synergy. I toured the new In-shape, and I walked in and walked out!!!! The towels they give you for showers are rags that I wouldn't even use to wash my car with!!! I tried the $10 a month gym in River Park and well , that's why it's $10 a month. Synergy is the cleanest and most sanitized place to work out that I've ever been to. It's part of the Queen of the valley , so it is constantly mopped, wiped and dusted and sprayed and cleaned, around the clock.... and that was before Covid!!! The class instructors and staffs are the politest and most courteous and patient and fun and so are the members. If you're not happy working out at Synergy, Well, you're just not a very happy and satisfied person, and that , nobody can fix but yourself....... try other places for a day or so, and you will appreciate Synergy more.

After being closed for two weeks for improvements (we were still charged for our entire membership…read morefee), I returned to find that I am disallowed from using the new equipment without setting up a 45 minute training session. However, there are no appointments available. For this month or ANY future months! Beyond this, part of their ' improvements' included removing the only machine that can be used for lifting heavy weights for glutes. I hope management sees this and can explain the logic in removing the only machine available to build strong glutes, which inform so many other functional areas of our mobility. Please explain how this is an improvement!

Deeply disappointed with our experience in the toddler swim program. Our final class was cancelled…read morewithout notice, despite having both an email address and phone number on file, we were never contacted (apparently they tried, either phone or email were going through). We drove 30 minutes only to be told in person that the instructor was unable to make it. We were promised a refund on the spot, but a week later we have yet to receive it. The hardest part of all was watching my toddler's excitement turn to heartbreak. He had been looking forward to swimming with the other babies all day. I hope management takes steps to improve their communication and follow through on commitments to families.

That said, I've participated in a few fencing clubs, and I wouldn't hesitate to give NVFA a five star review. People fence for a wide variety of reasons. Because of this, a single class may be composed of students training hard to compete nationally, and others training casually. Orchestrating mixed classes and tailoring individual private lessons is an ability that seems to come very naturally to Jana; although it's just as likely that it's something she's learned in her years as a nationally competing fencer and coach. Whatever the reason, Jana is a very effective coach and leader. Fencing is a sport with deep roots and strong traditions. Jana has trained in France and Italy, and studied under world-class instructors. Her love and respect for fencing as an institution is evident in her excitement and patience while instructing. I highly recommend attending a class. Effort and sportsmanship are quickly rewarded.

This was an outdoor patio show with guitars and amps galore and a friendly group of singers doing covers from the 60's to 2000. A few original songs were played as well. Crowd was much larger than expected so I'm glad we got there early to secure a table. Mostly pub grub available on the patio. Great place to meet fun local people and have an entertaining evening.

I arrived early as instructed to fill out their waiver, however another class was in session and there was no one at the front desk. I'm not sure if this is how it normally is. When their class ended the instructor had me fill out your typical safety waiver. Instructor was nice, friendly, and attentive which I appreciated because I'm new to Pilates and their equipment. She was very helpful in guiding the class but also walking around the room and assisting as needed. It was such a great, effective, low impact workout. The space felt clean. There are cubbies in the front where you leave your stuff and shoes. I was told there were cubbies in the back room if preferred. They are located in a shopping plaza on Jefferson with a parking lot. I recommend bringing pilates/yoga grip socks but I noticed some people were barefoot. They have socks and apparel for sale. Would recommend and would go back.

During warmer weather you will see members boats tied to the 165' dock alongside those from 'cruise in' groups from other yacht clubs in the area. The club also has an active 'cruise out' program where some of the members go and visit other clubs together. The highlights for the year are usually the July 4th boat parade with members decorating their boats and convoying to town and the river front neighborhoods, and the holiday lighted boat parade around Christmas time. The club is only open on Friday night, which is why I knocked off one star. If you come by boat, be sure to stay between the channel markers. The river has been dredged to 9 feet at mean low water, but I never saw lower than 11 feet. A quick Uber ride gets you into town or to the wineries.
