Another MRI ~ another body part.. UGH. So, when I entered, I carefully went over each form looking specifically for the form that soooooooooooooooooooo upset the other reviewer. I could not find it. Having been in the health care profession for over 35 years, one knows that patients have rights. If there is something you do not agree with on a form, draw a line through it, initial it, and date it. It is that simple, no reason to refuse to sign it, although that certainly is your right, but, as evidenced by other reviewer, they have the right to refuse service. Once again, my experience went flawlessly. Russell asked, after the first part of exam was done without contrast, if I was able to tolerate the injection and part of the exam done with contrast, or if he should just stop. Let's do this !! But I appreciate the concern for my tolerance level. My doctor had the results that afternoon. When I called to schedule, they offered me a 2:30 appointment on that afternoon. Staff does not follow through on sending films to hospital in which case I was needing a biopsy to confirm if was malignant or not. I was informed a week ago that the films would be sent over. This never transpired because hospital called me this morning wondering where films are. When I called to inform staff of this, I explained what happened, and I was asked who I spoke with and I replied this was very upsetting I was hung up on. I was unable to use them so the services might be good. However, scheduling is a waste of time. Set up an appointment a week in advance to be told the day of the test that they had not obtained insurance approval yet. What did they do the 5 business days in between setting up the appointment and the actual appointment? Then when trying to figure who to call to find out what exactly is needed they were unable/unwilling to assist. Again the service might be fine but with the headache to get in they are not worth it regardless. read more

My wife had to go in for an ultrasound as we did not get a heartbeat in the first prenatal visit. We were told that she could not have anyone go in with her. This was hard enough as it was but we understood as things need to be done differently with COVID. I had to wait in the car. But when she went in, they told her that she could not have her husband on the phone. What?! She can't have me there physically and now they won't even let her have me there on the phone with her when we find out whether our baby is alive or not?! They said it is in consideration for the technicians. How about putting the patient first? Especially in an emotional time like this. If you are not going to let someone in physically, let them be their virtually. read more

I have been going here for my mammograms for a few years now. My doctor told me I could go to Edwards but I absolutely love Lynne, the mammogram tech. She is fast, thorough and very personable. Was referred here by my Dr. for an ultrasound. He said that they are priced more reasonably than the hospital since they don't have to deal with patients that don't have insurance. Upon arrival I was given a couple of consent forms to sign. One was a HIPAA form that said I reviewed and agreed to their privacy practices document. I went up and requested the document, reviewed, and since everything seemed fine I signed. The second form, however, was a release form that said it allowed them to retrieve all my medical records from previous tests (which I have had none, but ok..) and then it said they can use my medical information however they wish, "not subject to other privacy restrictions". This basically means they can give my medical info to anyone they want, for any reason. The form said if I don't agree they may not be able to provide a quality diagnosis. I interpret this to mean the form is optional, so I didn't sign it. After turning in the forms I was notified that the general manager reviewed and decided they would not accept me as a patient if I didn't sign. When I questioned why. I was simply told the same thing repeatedly (sign or leave basically). So I left without treatment. Now I think I know why they might be cheaper than others (if they even are). It must be because they are selling your private medical info for profit. Sorry, but that's just not an acceptable business model for a company in the healthcare business. Period. read more

Naperville Imaging's service is generally good. However, be watchful about their billing practices. If for any reasons (preoccupied with medical conditions is generally the case) payment is delayed, they will try a couple of months and send it to collection. NIC adds 40% on top of the payment that is due and the collection agency will add another $8 for their service. Try to go to Edward Hospital and they have multiple facilities and scheduling also is not an issue. Edward puts humanity to their billing practices, not like NIC sharks! read more

Recently had a CT scan with contrast here and the overall experience was surprisingly pleasant. It was very easy to schedule a procedure with them around my schedule and everything was very prompt. The technician who worked with me did an excellent job getting an IV in and explained everything in detail for me. My doctor received the report in a timely manner and I went home with a CD of pictures. I would definitely recommend getting any procedures done here versus at the hospital due to cost and ease of scheduling, as well as a very friendly staff. read more

I just finished having a Lumbar CT scan at Naperville Imaging Center. All the staff here -from the front office to the Tech to the assistant who help me after the scan- couldn't have been nicer. My tech-Jacqueline was sweet and handled me very carefully. I think the biggest difference at this center (and I have had quite a few!) is that I did not feel rushed, or like just another "scan". read more

The office staff at NIS really jumped on things quickly to expedite an MRI for my son. They were able to get things done in the same day, and did it with a great attitude. I have used NIS on several occasions for my family, and will likely do so again in the future. I highly recommend! read more

I'm changing my review. I've been to NIC multiple times and I've never had an issue like the one with the most recent scan. All I want to do is open my disk and look at the images and there is no assistance. IT department closed; Dr. will have the software...well, I have the software too but it still won't load without the encrypted password...and the one you told me doesn't work so I guess we'll just never see the images. Thanks. Up until this most recent issue my experiences have been positive. read more

Had a MRI re: my hip on 10/19/2016. After I left they called my M.D. to say I had a fracture. I did not have a fracture nor any type of break at all. Totally erroneous diagnosis which was confirmed by both University of Chicago and North Shore Orthopedics. read more

The rooms are so clean and modern and the ultrasound techs are just wonderful; friendly, helpful, thorough, explain what they're doing and do everything they can to make you comfortable and put you at ease.
