What a god send! I had been using personal chef services for several years now on continuing basis. I was a sole caregiver to a handicapped partner for many years and needed help in the kitchen. Not being a cook myself, I looked for professional help, trying to engage a full-time evening cook who would plan, prepare and serve dinner. After asking around over a period of time, I found two cooks that were satisfactory, but not reliable. Each had their own "issues" that caused gaps in service. Upon losing the second lady who just decided to "get out of the business" on about a three day's notice, I was desperate and depressed. I tried one more time and found David's website. I was sure looking over his credentials, he would not be interested. Over two years later, I am enjoying delicious, beautifully prepared and presented salads and dinners. He is very reliable and prepares, serves and cleans up after each meal. Being in demand as a chef, I am aware I will not have him every night of the week and that's fine with me. During season I have performances on Thursday evenings and he will still motor down and prepare the dinner in aluminum pans for reheating after the shows. One of my neighbors, after having dinner with me, now employs him as well. I also had a cocktail party recently for 25 in my community and, of course, Chef David was the hit of the evening. He prepared about a 10 or so different hors d'ourves and brought staff to serve and bartend. I wanted to hire a private chef for a birthday present for my boyfriend, who is a great cook in his own right, and always has an amazing dinner for me when I get home from work. I searched online and found Chef David Hill. I called him and left him a message and within an hour had a call back. We spoke about the menu and although he has a menu of items you can chose from online, he helped me plan a meal full of my boyfriends favorites, for every course. Anytime I emailed him his response time back to me was almost immediately. He was very flexible on every count: There were certain things I don't eat or like....... he made adjustments to my meal, I changed the date twice... not a problem, we added another couple to the dinner party.... he said great, more fun..... He arrived on time..... he served us each course and the food was plated beautifully. I did not show him where anything was in the kitchen. He found it all.... when the meal was over he had the entire kitchen cleaned up and everything put back where he found it. It was a great evening!!! I knew I was going to have a food critic at the table that night, and me never have eaten any of David's food before, put a lot of faith in the reviews I read. At the end of the evening I got a big hug and kiss and he said that the food was delicious and he had a great. I would hire David again in a heart beat. We enjoyed a lovely meal prepared by Chef David last weekend. We had friends over to watch the Celtics game. Unfortunately, the Celtics lost, but Chef David's dazzling menu and deliciously prepared food won the hearts of this Boston fan base! Chef David can do it all. Whether you want an elegant seated dinner, casual buffet for friends, or heavy cocktail and hors d'oeurve party, he is well equipped to serve up the perfect experience. He is as organized, pleasant, helpful, and reliable as he is gifted in the kitchen. Ingredients are locally sourced and he takes great care in preparing his creations. I haven't had the same thing twice....well, except for the tuna tartare which I begged him to make. Chef David's dishes are beautifully presented and what a treat to dine at home with such a talented chef. I have had the pleasure of hosting several dinner parties with Chef David and I always feel like a guest at my own party. His staff is professional, attentive and intuitive. Rarely can I sit and enjoy being with my friends....best of all, there is not one bag of trash to take to the curb, one dish to clean or put away, and all bar items are organized and put away. We hired Chef David in April 2018 to cook a special meal for my wife's 40th birthday on Palm Island, Florida. It was a meal and experience we will remember for years to come. In all, our party had 4 adults and 4 kids under 11. Adults had a 4 course meal Brie cheese in filo crust and pork sliders as appetizers Pine island salad as next course Beef dish with Gouda potatoes and veggies Chocolate lava cake for dessert with ice cream We had lots of leftovers that reheated just as good as the first time The kids ate (and loved) spaghetti and meatballs and ice cream sundaes. Every dish was better than the previous one. We arranged the meal planning about 6-8 weeks in advance. David showed up on time and got right to work. Not only did he do all the cooking, he served and cleared everything and cleaned the entire kitchen afterwards. All dishes, pots and pans etc. It was spotless. I found David to be highly professional, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. I simply cannot say enough about our experience. I would absolutely use him again and would recommend him without any hesitation to others. I'm tremendously grateful to David for making this event so special and memorable for us. read more

I don't have enough good things to say about David Hill! We have a vacation home in Naples and get down as often as we can--and over the last 3 years I have booked David to cook dinner on 3 separate occasions. In 2016 he cooked a 3 course dinner with 12 of my girlfriends for my bachelorette which was fantastic, and the last 2 years he has cooked a 3 course dinner for 6 couples/12 people at our house. We have always been good about booking him in advance, and David has always shown up on time (early in fact!) and full prepared. David has always shown up with all ingredients and equipment needed to make the meal go off without a hitch (this is especially crucial because our vacation home has the basics but not all cookware necessary for a 3 course meal). His food is not only fantastic and fresh, but he is also extremely timely with his food delivery and VERY tidy. In fact once we finish dessert, my kitchen is always spotless! I personally cannot wait to have him over again and would recommend him to anyone especially in the Naples area! read more

We had Chef David for several meals from brunch, lunch and a dinner for 17. for out of town guests. We spoke to Chef David a few times in preparation and he was very good and flexible with changes in times, number of guests, menu offerings. Menus and meals were excellent. Chef David was organized and personable, and he happily accommodated one of our guests who had a severe peanut allergy and three kids. My wife and I agreed that he and the experience (the guests were here for a wedding and I think having a private chef was more memorable to them than the wedding) were worth every penny and wouldn't hesitate to call on him again. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Chef's server and bartender Vinny, who was a great guy, extremely helpful and friendly, and was great with the kids. BEYOND 5 STARS!!! CHEF DAVID HILL IS AMAZING, from initial phone contact to leaving the kitchen impeccably spotless. I retained Chef David for a private, surprise birthday celebration at my mother's residence. Chef helped coordinate all aspects of the celebration via phone as I reside in CT. My calls never went to voicemail and if I text or emailed, I would have a response within an hour at most. Chef was also happy to provide suggestions/alternatives to accommodate guests with food allergies/preferences. His staff was professional and never left a glass half-full. Chef presented each course with a brief explanation of food preparation. I can't say enough about my experience with Chef David Hill and will be retaining his services again for our next celebration! We recently hired chef David for two nights on N. Captiva Island. We've had the privilege to hire chefs in the various locations throughout the world and David is certainly at the top of the list. We requested an all seafood menu for both nights and were delighted with every dish he served. It was very evident David understood food at a very sophisticated level and did a fantastic job of pairing the food properly. Dishes ranged from fresh grouper to seared ahi to some of the best crab cakes we have ever had. We would highly recommend chef David. I have to admit, I read the other comment on him and don't think they have the right David. Planning a surprise 50th birthday party made so much easier (and tastier) with Chef David. Our guest list was to be approximately 30-35 people for a sit down dinner. David asked questions of me and encouraged my questions as well. Over the course of just a few conversations the menu was planned, number of servers, etc. He directed me to a great rental company for needed items. Even that company helped me plan details. The food was exceptional, the servers/bartender were attentive, well trained, eager to please, the kitchen cleaned, extra tidbits wrapped up in the fridge even. We had David catered an event for us while in Naples on March 2018. We were hosting a cocktail party so we wanted lots of appetizers and desserts. I spoke to David and we both decided on what we should serve for the amount of people who were attending. He came and set up for the event and everything was done in a timely manner. One of the most delightful dining experiences we have had in South West Florida. Everything was absolutely delicious. Scheduling and planning a menu was easy as well as communicating throughout the process. Chef David was able to incorporate the fish we had caught that day into our meal, which was amazing. He was in and out quickly and left the kitchen in better shape than when he arrived. He was friendly and fun to chat with, but very professional. Chef David catered our New Years Eve Progressive Dinner party and it was fabulous. Everything from appetizers (really recommend the satay chicken with peanut sauce) to a full dinner and then mini desserts, were prepared perfectly. He delivered right on time with full directions on how to reheat and serve. Because it was a Progressive Dinner, moving from house to house, it was necessary to reheat the dinner...but he prepared it until it was "almost" done, and then reheating didn't dry it out. Chef David is absolutely tremendous. Not only are his dishes delicious for foodies and non-foodies alike, but his service and presentation is top-notch! We hired Chef David for a team retreat night in. It was wonderful to have someone come to our home, make a great meal, and do all of the clean up, all in a relaxed and laid back environment. A couple of weeks before the event, he helped me determine the specific menu based on our budget, style, and preferred tastes. We had Chef David and his team come to a private residence for a bachelorette party this past March. Chef David created a fabulous menu that was really accommodating to various dietary restrictions (gluten free, no meat, etc). I still think about the mahi mahi with the mango and pineapple salsa sometimes!
