I have two dental plans and go for professional cleanings every 3 months. I have all caps and believe in practicing good hygiene. Today was my first visit to this practice and they insisted on taking pictures of my teeth - not X-rays- photos at a cost of $79 before they even checked my teeth. I did not need cosmetic procedures and refused to pay this up charge. The dentist would not authorize the cleaning unless I paid for the pictures. No dentist has ever asked for an unnecessary procedure at an added expense. I reported this to the insurance company and have an appointment at a different dentist. read more

Nightmare Dentist Experience at Naples Center for Cosmetic Dentistry - Go Elsewhere! By far, this was my worst dentist experience ever! You have been warned- do not go here! Went in on March 4, 2024 for a routine replacement of a temporary crown that they had put in about two weeks prior. After 2.5 hours, I came out with 2 sections of my tongue cut out! (see photo 1 of 2). Plus excessive bleeding (see photo 2 of 2), swelling and soreness. The pain for me continues 8 days later and is only getting worse - tongue ulcers, pain in my mouth, teeth, gums and jaw, hurts to eat, hurts to talk, damage to another tooth, unable to sleep through the night. Absolute misery. I could write on and on. The 2 photos attached were taken from their dental office immediately after the dentist butchered my mouth. I never thought this could happen or someone with this skill level would be allowed to have a license and work on a human patient (or a live animal). Never again! read more

The worst dental experience ever! I just moved to Naples, needed annual cleaning. They don't allow the cleaning the same day, they take a lot of x-rays do the exam and tell you that you need many things you don't need. When I went back for the cleaning I had to wait 45 minutes then the hygienist told me before I sat down it would be $98.00. I told him I had insurance for cleaning. I went to the front desk where I was then told it would not be $98 but $27 for Floride. I said I do not need Floride and the woman just glared at me and said nothing. I left, the Office Manager called to apologize.I then received a bill for $67.00 - Cigna insurance said they paid for the Bitewing x-rays but the office billed for 2D imaging as well and said they are the same thing so they will not pay it. They are always trying to cheat you and upsell. Horrible place. Still didn't get my teeth cleaned- Ugh! read more

I scheduled an appointment for x-rays and a cleaning. At the time of my visit I confirmed they accepted my dental insurance. They did. Then, a total of 18 x-rays were taken! Red flags are going up at this point and I ask directly "Will I be getting my teeth cleaned today?". The answer was yes. However, the dentist says I also need deplaning in two areas. The estimate was almost $700! AND...they won't even do a hygienist cleaning unless I do both! So they basically took as many x-rays (one too many because it was denied) as they could to collect from my insurance company because that is where they make the most money. Apparently you don't deserve dental care if you don't have hundreds of dollars to give them. My insurance company has been made aware so they won't be getting any of their money now either! read more

Was waiting for my second visit before I wrote this review. My first visit was over two hours long and some of it seemed to be the dentist moving from patient to patient. This was a bit frustrating as this was new to me. I have never had an exam like the one done here. I had 20 x rays!! The most I ever had before was 8. Then we did the TV camera thing where they show you everything that is wrong with your teeth. It is hard not to believe the problems when you see them in living color on the TV screen. So I was given a 4 part treatment plan. I think I finished the second one and have two more to go. What separates this practice from all others is the staff. They have the normal dental hygienist to a super hygienist. Who took all the impressions I need for my crown then fitted me with my temporary crown. She did an exceptional job of making sure the crown was perfect. The office staff has always been very pleasant to me and always a smile and hello when I walk in. And after the visit a follow up phone call to see if everything is doing well!!!! That is what makes this 5 stars they seem to care. read more

Scammers trying to charge for x-rays $89 for new patients when insurance cover 100% preventative care. Trying to line their pockets.

They told me an X-Ray is mandatory to schedule a cleaning - the lady on the phone stated it is even a law in the state of Florida. When I called my insurance they verified that it is NOT mandatory in Florida and this is most likely only a way for them to upsell patients on services. My insurance company recommended me to change the dentist. read more

The hygienist I had was okay but kept trying to upsell me with products. They took about 50 x-rays of my teeth before I could even come in for my cleaning. The dentist was very rude and pushy. I have been to the dentist every 6 months for as long as I can remember in Ohio, having just moved down here I found this place in network for my insurance. I received a $75.00 invoice for April 7th Teeth Cleaning appointment which never occurred. I confirmed the appointment one week in advance and received a text from your office also confirming a $5.00 co-pay. Upon being seated in the chair, the hygienist informed me that the visit would not be covered by my insurance policy. I showed him the Text from your office outlining the $5.00 co-pay. After a one minute conversation with the Hygienist sitting in the chair, I was escorted to resolve the problem with the receptionist. The receptionist denied the $5.00 co-pay even after she saw the confirmation text from your office on my phone. She then has the audacity to ask me for a $65.00 payment for the one minute conversation I had in the chair with the hygienist. I receive a bill for $75.00 this week from your office. I immediately called your office to dispute the charge. After explaining the circumstances, I was told by the female receptionist that "It was OK to just pay the $5.00". I told her that I was not paying for anything due to the fact that I did not receive any services. I gave my number to her and asked that the Billing Manager call me to resolve this disputed invoice. To date, nobody has returned my message from your offices to resolve this matter. As a result, If I receive any more invoices from your office, I plan to report this invoice, which falsely claimed that I had my teeth cleaned along with a Topical Fluoride application, to my insurance company. Also, If I see any Insurance claims relating to this matter, I will immediately call my Insurance Company and report the fraudulent activity. They first rescheduled my checkup & cleaning appointment, then when I arrived, they informed me my cleaning needs to be cancelled due to staff issue. We all have busy schedules these days and move around work to make it to these appointments. To find out cancellation upon arrival, it is extremely unprofessional and frustrating. read more

This has been a true nightmare for me. I keep having to go back to have the situation fixed and its not getting fixed. I asked for them to give me a different dentist to fix the problem and they said ok . When I got their they said you have to pay because it is a different dentist I agreed and they said nothing we can do on that tooth but still wanted to charge me. The other dentist was certainly knowledgeable but he just referred me back to the other dentist. My problem is not resolved and I've been their no lie about 9 times to get my bite fixed since they gave me this crown. I cannot sleep I am either biting my tongue or biting this inside of my lip. I didn't do that when I had my temporary or my permanent tooth there. They blame on a missing tooth but that tooth has been missing for years. I had to reschedule an appointment, so I made it for today. The woman on the phone gave me the address, instructions for my insurance, and told me my appointment was booked for 8:30 and to be there at 8:15. She even had me go on their website and fill out their patient information form. I get there at 8:15 and no one's there, the door is locked. I sit around for 10 minutes and finally a receptionist shows up. She asks me for my information, then proceeds to tell me I don't have an appointment, and asks me what phone number I called and who I booked with; because they have a call center. I tell her that story and she just says, "I'm sorry, I wish there was something I could do for you, but the doctor is all booked today." So, after booking an appointment in February for March, and then rescheduling in March for April, and I don't get any offer to make it better. Just an half hearted, not even looking up from the computer screen, "I'm sorry." Also, my patient form apparently disappeared to. Can't speak on the quality of their dentistry, but I hate having my time wasted so I'll just be switching to another dentist that I know is fantastic, just doesn't take my insurance. This doctor was completely unprofessional. I went in for just a regular cleaning which my insurance covered, and left with no cleaning after paying my co pay. I had just visited them one year ago with another Dr. who has now resigned. Suddenly one year later this new Dr. told me I needed more than 2,000 dollars worth of work done to my teeth. He belittled me after I told him I couldn't afford all of that work. He said" Oh, you can buy a new house, but you can't afford to take care of your teeth". He yanked on my ear like I was a child. I made my dental insurance aware of the unprofessionalism and how he was "up selling" to rip off the insurance company. I now have a new Dr. at new dentist office. Beware of this place! read more

If I could give them Zero stars I would. They upsell you, are rude, their work is subpar (I have a cap that has spacing around a tooth), and they force you to get work outside what your insurance covers and they say that is the way their office works - take it or leave it. There are also those times where I have made appointments and they were running two plus hours behind and had no apologies. Rescheduled - another two hours waiting and had to leave and reschedule a third time. Also, the time they sent an inaccurate balance to collections after they agreed to take payments on a balance and proceeded to cash checks and accept credit card payments for said balance. read more

Was told could transfer in X-rays done within last year. Transferred in X-rays done within 3 months they couldn't find them, then insisted they don't accept transferred X-rays must redo. I love the the way the waiting room feels like a living room more than a clinic. The treatment is professional even when the news is not good. No, I'm not perfect with my dental hygiene! Moved to the area in February.... After a bad experience with another area dentist who was not forth coming with copay's and shady billing practices, who wanted to pull teeth and could never tell me what my insurance would pay. I was finally forced to find another dentist,,, after I developed an abscess on a recently caped tooth... I was hesitant of all dentist down in Florida. When i arrived for my appointment I explained I could get my x rays as it was to soon for a new set to be covered. They informed me they had to take there own. They also discounted them to a very fair price as they new they would not be covered . After the dr. addressed my infection he put all the x rays up on a screen..... Something my first dentist never did. He went over my issues and what I wanted and my golds. He gave me options. When I left every thing he laid out was on paper with the price and what my co pay would cover, something that was never done at my previous dentist . My wife who is a billing coordinator felt the previous dentist was practicing shady billing ... Dr Mendez cares about his patients... With my mouth he could have easily pushed for more expressive procedures.... His staff is also professional read more

Do not go here they can't even complete simple exams properly. Went in for a tooth infection and Dr. FINK had prescribed antibiotics and and a mild narcotic pain pill for the excruciating pain bringing me to my knees. Took the day off and game in as emergency visit. Only to find out that Dr. Fink knowingly prescribed a controlled substance but had no right to do so as he had let his dea # expire. So he knowingly wrote prescriptions that could of had me arrested as his license is expired. This is the definition of jenky practice. They also did nothing to rectify the situation at all. Long story short took a day off work to get fixed up and they weren't even capable of helping and knowingly gave me false ILLEGAL PRESCRIPTIONS!! Stay away from this place and just avoid yourself the headache. Bad business practices period and not to mention , illegal practices going on at a supposedly reputable dentist. I've been going to Naples Center for Cosmetic Dentistry for about 6 months now. My first visit was with Dr. Oliva. There were xrays, an exam, and she told me what my current issues were. I needed a cleaning, a root canal and crown and 3 small fillings. The endodontist they referred me to was excellent. Literally a 30 minute root canal. For a person who would rather swim with sharks while wearing a meat suit than go to a dentist, it was a huge win. Next I was back for a cleaning. I can't recall the hygenist's name, but she was great. Knowledgeable and very good at the actual cleaning. I rebooked with her for the future. A few weeks later, I had Dr. Oliva put a temp on my root canal. It was a very long appointment, but that was the hardest part. No problem with the work at all. Finally, I had the crown cemented in and the cavities taken care of. All of the actual work was excellent. The only thing that I am a little bothered by is the billing situation. I know that first and foremost it's my job to be on top of my dental insurance benefits, I get it. However, I suppose because they were so thorough with the breakdown of charges on an estimate at my first visit when we planned all the work, that I assumed if things changed, they would let me know. But no. I had to reschedule my cleaning once because I couldn't afford it right after the root canal. The woman on the phone told me she took some of the deeper cleaning off the schedule and it would only cost me $70. No problem. When I went in, they told me $90. Not a huge deal, I had the money, it wasn't a big jump, but I was told something different on the phone versus when I was in the chair and that is kind of annoying. Then at my last appointment for the cavities I had been told originally that I was to pay $47. When I checked out it was over $400, I nearly passed out dead. Like I mentioned above, I know it's my job to be on top of my benefits, but I figured because they were soo efficient that they'd keep me posted if things changed...so I mistakenly assumed that nothing changed from the original estimate. As our cheeto in chief likes to say: WRONG! So I owe them a big chunk of money and I'm out of benefits for the year, so my next cleaning will be in 2018, which is a bummer cause I thought I was finally getting back on track with dental health. Yet another reason why universal healthcare would be appreciated. In the end though, beautiful, modern, clean office. Great hygienist. And Dr. Oliva looks like she's not old enough to be a dentist, but her work is stellar. read more

It does no good to call their scheduling center for an appt. I spent 15 minutes on the phone to set up an appointment for the following day for an emergency. I showed up at their location only to be greeted by a receptionist that told me that I am not in the system and she was sorry but they would have to reschedule for another day. I asked them if they could fit me in and they said no because they were already too busy. So I spent the whole day before and all through a sleepless night and an agonizing day, rearranging my work schedule and meetings to be told by this incompetent business that my appointment was never scheduled? They seemed not to care about the pain that I was in. I believe they over booked and deleted my appointment. They called their other sister groups in Bonita Springs and Fort Myers to see if the appointment was made there. I had told them repeatedly that scheduler had given me the address in Naples and that is why I was there. In my opinion, the front office staff are incompetent and rude. Please find another place to go because they don't care about you or customer service. read more
