Searched Ice Cream in Naples & was shocked to see a near 5 Star Perfect Review. Had to check this place out to see if it lived up to the hype & am excited to say YES! NICS is located at the end of a very low key strip mall accross from an exotic car dealership. Immediately upon walking in that smell hits. The smell is nostalgic & can only be described as GOOD ICE CREAM is sold here. Inside was clean, we were immediately greeted & looked around at all the options. There are a bunch of flavors to choose from as well as a reach in freeezer for taking premade items home. After a quick sample, I went for a chocolate covered waffle bowl of Butterscotch Brownie & loved it! I can see why this place got the near perfect review, it really did check all the boxes. Such a cute place and delicious ice cream! They have a huge selection of flavors, so many toppings to choose from, pints togo, ice cream cookie sandwiches, and a variety of other desserts! Visited Naples Ice Cream Shopee right before going back home. They were closing at 9pm and we called at 8:50, they were so nice to stay open for us. It was our first time here! Since they just reopened for COVID, they were advising us how they constantly wipe everything down. It made us feel really safe and clean. Such a super sweet couple! I got the Dulce de Leche with cheesecake chunks. Vanilla ice cream, caramel swirls, and cheesecake bites. SO YUMMY! Every bite was filled with something. My boyfriend got the toffee carabu, which he said was delicious. I was with a party of 6, and everybody was happy with their choices! The short: Awesome mom and pops ice cream spot with a wide variety of flavors and AMAZING owners. Make sure to visit when in town! The long: Took a trip to Naples for the weekend with the family. After finishing dinner one of the night, we had a sweet tooth and had a craving for some ice cream. Ended up finding this spot and gave it a shot. We are really glad we did cause the ice cream was really tasty and the staff was great. Everyone got their own ice cream so I don't remember theirs but I got the toffee caribou. Super rich and creamy with a good amount of toffee and caramel. Also grabbed a side of hot fudge which was great. As a side note, this visit was during the slow opening after the pandemic of Covid. The reason why I mention it is cause the owners were extremely careful and clean with everything they did. They separated everything and didn't even separated where they stood and their interaction as to avoid cross contamination. I applaud them and feel like cleanliness is a habit they will keep in their future. All in all, I highly suggest taking a visit there as the ice cream was great and spot had a nice ambiance. Also the prices very very reasonable. We will deff make a stop there on our next visit. read more

Delicious HOMEMADE ice cream! Unique flavors I've never tasted in my years of being a plump foodie w/sweet tooth. Guava Cheesecake was a delectable & new flavor experience for me. Dulce de leche is a favorite of mine & my daughter ordered the "Smurf". Most kids themed flavors are usually just sugar grenades. Being newly vegan, I'm always looking for a new good place with yummy dairy-free options. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had flavor choices for me, and delicious ones I must add. Today I got the coconut almond fudge with chocolate syrup and it was good to every last bite! My husband got the same flavor and loved it, and he's not even a big dessert-type guy. We got there 3 mins before closing time and they happily brought our party in to serve us. We're still in the midst of the Corona Virus and we felt very comforted by how well sanitized they kept everything, even down to the doorknobs. Since businesses still can't legally seat customers inside yet, we hung out by our car outside while we ate our ice cream. Even though it was well passed closing time, one of the owners came outside and said they'd leave the front door open for us in case we needed to use their trash can, and even offered to put it outside for us. It's little things like that that show how much a business values their customers. This will be our new must-stop ice cream shop when we visit Naples!! read more

The place has a good layout, with ice-cream themed decor and plenty of seating. The main area did have a wall stacked with dozens of boxes and a ladder in public view which could have been hidden away, but it was still comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful in explaining the process to us newcomers. You start with a size of small, regular or large (the small is pretty big, as it should be for the price) and a base (Original, Custard, Low-fat, No Sugar Added, Lactose Free, Yogurt (fat free) and Coconut (vegan). My wife chose the coconut as she is trying to limit Diary and I went with the original, both of us ordering a small. You can then choose one of their 12 pre-set menu items like the Chocolate Conduction or Strawberry Sigma which were the two my wife and I chose, or you can pick your own flavor (about 30 options) and Mix-in about 15 options or another apx 20 sweets like Cookie dough or Twix. My wife's strawberry was lovely, and mine was a bit rich, which I expected based on the ingredients. From here, they add the base and ingredients into a bowl, stir it up, turn non the nitrogen and you watch the worker mix it up for a few minutes. And the final product is some really nice tasting ice cream, made to your taste or diary preferences which are infante. The downside, it's expensive in my opinion. For two small ice creams, a bottle of water and the expected tip during checkout, it was $25.75. As much as I liked it, this will limit my coming back. It's novel and tastes good, but you are paying for the entertainment value which is also a drawback in that it's slow. Some ice cream places have a spout of free cold water on the counter and available to customers, which would be a nice touch considering the price point, saving me a few dollars of needing to buy a water, I think it's worth trying out if your pocketbook can accommodate.

Today we had Malted Whoppers & Fudge and Butter Pecan in one and the other was Malted Whoppers & Fudge and Coffee Toffee. They, as usual, were delicious!
