We were given four different menus, one regular, one drinks, one with daily specials, and another with other specials. Okay, a bit all over the place but I came here to eat the food, not eat their menus. Pizza for me and pasta for my lady, along with two drinks. The service was quick and the waiting time for the food was minimal. The pasta, Spaghetti Gamberi, was very delicate in flavour; prawns, zucchini, and olive oil. The pizza, a White based "Kogarah" was hands down amazing. Cooked in a wood fire oven on perfect dough. Topped with bacon, mushrooms, parmesan cheese and a drizzle of cream. It was just last week I was thinking why don't we have white sauced pizzas when we have a whole heap of white sauced pastas. The bill was around $50 - $60. The only issue was the extraordinary loud drilling being done next door at a construction site. Literally everyone seated stopped talking and looked over at the building site for the 20 second duration of the drilling. Only happened once, thank heavens.

We were served by Veronica and Antonella , smiles and friendliness were offered from the moment we stepped in. Chatty and happy all along , really stands out in this city where service has gone out the door a long time ago. The pizzas are authentic and my fettuccini Ragu was unbelievable! A must return for sure. Thank you girls .xx

Can't believe this place has been open for 10 years and I only just discovered it. I came here with…read moremy partner last night after a couple of our friends told us it was their favourite Italian in Bondi. We came at 8pm on a Sunday evening and it was packed so we put our name down and came back later. There are 16 options for pasta "sauces" that include a variety of meat, vegetables, herbs, etc. Then you choose from home-made pastas: gnocchi, fettuccine, spinach/ricotta ravioli, veal ravioli, penne or spaghetti. Per our friends suggestion we went with the fettucine pasta with the Bassano sauce (italian sausage, exotic mushrooms, porcini, fresh basil and sage, Napoli, dash of cream). It was AMAZING! The home-made noodles were cooked to perfection and the sauce was absolutely delicoius. It was $25 for the secondo (main) size which I think is reasonable. We also ordered the Parmagiana Catania (eggplant parmesan) that comes with bread and a side salad. It wasn't anything unique but the portion size was huge and the side salad helped balance out the heavy cheesy dish. Oh yeah, the garlic bread we ordered as a starter was awesome. With 2 mains, garlic bread and 1 glass of wine the bill came to $66 for two people. Not bad! We'll be back to eat our way through the rest of their menu!

The staff offered crayon for my kids to draw on the table, and politely almost apologetically informed us when one of their specials were not available. - The Wagyu Beef Ragu Pappardelle was delicious. Now the negatives: - Portion was too small. - The Seafood Risotto that my husband had hardly contain any seafood in it. There were tiny pieces of fish, cut pieces of prawn and that's it. For $21.8 a plate we expect to see on the plate at least some mussels, a few pieces of fully intact prawns in all their glory. When we ordered seafood risotto, we want to see seafood and not just a soupy risotto with a few cut pieces of what looked like leftover seafood they found in their fridge. - The Australian Pizza though delicious was again sparse in toppings. In summary, it was pretty average. I was expecting more, but at least everything was delicious. Tip: they don't take Eftpos and Amex, and charged 3% if you pay with credit card.

The mixed pasta platter is brilliant value and a great way to get a bit of a few pasta dishes. The pizzas, as the waiter said, "the large includes a few slices for breakfast" :-)

So well... it is apt. but there is no exploding ships or battle axes through faces here. Tucked away in San Souci this restaurant is off my usual radar for places for fine dining, and it was amazingly good. The staff here are all excellent at their jobs. Polite and attentive. The food here is exceptional. I had the half roasted duck with turnip, carrot and roasted chestnuts. It came absolutely smothered in a honey like glaze which made it incredibly rich. Friends had the Osso Bucco, the roasted lamb and the pasta carbonara. All were bursting with flavour. My favourite part was the Zucchini flowers stuffed with goats cheese in tempura. I also liked that you could order fried lamb's brains as an entree. Mmmm Brains. Make sure to get the garlic bread and the warm olives to start. Red wine selection is fairly substantial. Parking is at a premium. Bring your Dolla billz, yo.

It can get a little bit noisy due to the way the place is built (reflecting noise back at customers), but otherwise its a nice venue overlooking the bay with a couple of different seating areas for the groups and the couples so they don't get in each others way too much.
