I showed up at 1:45 for my 2pm appt. She came to get me at 2:10 and I said that I was about to leave because I didn't think she was coming. She said "you should leave" instead of acknowledging her tardiness. Then she continued to rage at me about how I was late and I can't tell her what to say and so on and so on. She was hostile and unreasonable. I have no clue what someone like this is doing working with people. It's possible to discuss a problem without flying off the handle and turning it into some sort of weird power struggle. Don't bother. It was the worst experiences of all time! There's no customer service here. I texted her after I made my appt but she never got back to me but sent a weekly email with all the rules. The night before my appt she texted me at 9pm telling me there will be a $25 holiday fee due at my appt. I replied: $25 fee? I was not aware of this and I sent a screen shot of her email #13. Holidays/Days Off: Vouchers will be honored without a fee. Her replied: It is on the scheduler. Are you coming or not. It is a Holiday and time is money. I didn't like her language so I didn't response and did not show up for my appt. She's so rude! The next day she changed her email #13. First things first: I was extremely happy with the time the owner took with me to discuss all my issues. I have some back problems from playing golf and baseball through the years and she spent time with me (even went longer than my allotted time) to teach me things I could do everyday to help alleviate my problems from sitting at my desk properly to stretches and strengthening I can do. I was extremely pleased with my time at Nash. In addition, I was so relaxed and felt so great at the end of it, I think I experienced what many would call a "natural high" for about a full hour after I was done. Second: She made it clear during our session that her goal is deep tissue massage to help relieve stress on body parts. That's where her training is from. It's not a spa. This was good for me since, as I mentioned earlier, my goal was ease of pain and not necessarily relaxation. I can see why some people may be upset to find this out upon arrival. Just know what you are getting into. Third: I can see where some of the other reviewers are coming from. The masseuse even admitted that she is direct. Some people might take that as rude. I tend not to take things so personally and I actually appreciate honestly and directness so I didn't mind it at all. I will say that we did discuss some politics which I didn't mind. We share the same point of view so it was a good discussion but politics are always tough to discuss with strangers and someone who disagreed may have cared a bit more. Fourth: It seems as if a lot of the other reviewers may have had communication problems regarding their appointments. I shouldn't speculate since I'm not one of the two parties so all I can say is that she was one time for mine, though I was a bit worried based upon all the other reviews. Fifth: I think people are more likely to complain than compliment. That's the nature of the service industry so the bad reviews outweigh the good. She's also an individual trying to run her own business so she's not paying anyone to help manage her social media either. Worst experience ever! The owner is highly unprofessional. She corresponds to clients via text. I tried to redeem my groupon before it expired and she stated " No afence, but you've had if for 6 months and you what to badger me about making an appointment in a week. And if you schedule an appt before it expires, it will be honored. It's in your fine print. So, use the scheduler to make an appt. So does everyone else. But i booked. I told you and the scheduler told you there wasn't timeavailable. i'm busy. I haven't been waiting 6 months for you.And lut is too much for you to wait another day to get your answer. Bought this off of groupon, which was probably my first mistake. Scheduling was awful, online..no call..call no go online. Finally scheduled and she sends a rather rude email the day before about all of her "rules"..okay fine. Then I have to reschedule that appointment..so I go through the whole song and dance of rescheduling..only to get an email that all appointments need to be rescheduled..but no indication of how to do that..she will "contact" me..told me "not to take it personally"....what kind of business is this?! read more

I have only given one other one-star review in my past Yelping, so it takes a lot to earn that. I wish I had read the other reviewers before purchasing my Groupon. I called multiple times, emailed, and texted, but I did not get a response for assistance with scheduling. It only went downhill from there. I sent a more urgent email that I had been unable to reach anyone in over a month, and the owner sent a curt response, not acknowledging her lack of responsiveness. I reached out to Groupon for a refund, which they kindly gave me. My story is the same as many other reviews. I was 15 minutes early filling out the paper work when she texted me saying she will be there in a minute. That turned into half an hour. So, she is the one who was 15 minutes late and she scolded me for not texting her! She grew very impatient with me while asking dozens of questions about my past because I was not giving her the exact answers she wanted. Then the massage itself! I purchased a deep tissue massage, all she did was poke me for an hour. She called it, trigger point. I'm sure it's a thing, but not what I paid for. A friend of mine got me a gift groupon for 1 hour of deep tissue massage at this location. Of course I researched the business and found these reviews on yelp to be very polarized and predominantly negative. I don't put too much stake in internet comments and since I had the gift certificate I wasn't about to not put it to use. I scheduled my appointment a week or so in advance and had plenty of options. The 5pm or later appointments do see to go first but didn't have any trouble finding something suitable. After scheduling the appointing, I received emails confirming the appointment and outlining the protocols such as the intake form. I wondered if the "this is not a spa" disclaimer in the email was to help set patrons expectations - especially in light of the reviews on yelp. I arrived at my appointment about 20 min early to do the intake form. There's a waiting room right when you get out of the elevator that appears to be shared with other tenants of the building that have offices on that floor. Ms. Nash showed up to the waiting room on time and then directed me to another room down the hall which has all the massage equipment. She knew my exact pain areas just by seeing the type of work I do. She then took the time to show me how and why I feel the pain I do. Her use of an anatomy book (which has pictures of muscles, bones and their connections) as a visual aid, coupled with her explanations of how/why my posture and movements impacts them helped me understand the issues I'm experiencing. Ms. Nash also gave me some exercises/stretches I can do through out the day that target my affected muscles to help alleviate my problem. What can I say about the massage? It is *exactly* what I needed. I've had a few massages before, but they were of the Swedish type and while they felt and smelled good, they never really got "those spots" the way I needed. I admit this was my first deep tissue and I guess I was expecting to be in more pain during the massage, but that didn't happen. Like I said, it's exactly what I needed. She targeted the muscles and the knots that gave me pain and ironed them all out. By the end of the massage I was in tears because these muscles haven't felt that good and relaxed in decades. Ms. Nash was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Overall I was more than satisfied with my visit and definitely plan on going back. If you respect, and are looking for, a health professional (think doctors visit) to work with/on you to resolve muscle pain then this is your place. If that sounds a bit too clinical than you may be happier at a spa or massage parlor. EDIT - after such a good experience I was compelled enough to actually write an online review, which is something I never do. I was requested to show up for my appointment 15 minutes early for paperwork and "intake" otherwise the time would be taken out of my massage so I showed up at 1245p. The building is a disgusting run down office suite at best with a restroom in a cockroach infested stairwell. I was still in the waiting room at 115p so I knocked on the office door to inquire about how much longer it will be. The massage therapist rudely yelled that she was with a client. Very sorry I didn't read all the other reviews indicating the exact same experience as I just had. Owner texts numerous times pre appointment to reiterate her rules, 24 hour cancellation, arrive early, you know you have to pay when u get here, on and on. Then texts as I'm about to arrive that she's running late and can either move a half hour back or reschedule so I move it a half hour. Then she texts as I'm arriving for the rescheduled time and cancels again. I respond that she'd charge me a late cancel fee if it was me not showing....and I immediately get a series of 6 texts from her with a lecture about how valuable her time is and how lucky I was to get a discount for her 26 years of service. Groupon would not refund but I'd rather eat the $ than actually reschedule the service with this highly unprofessional and rude person. read more

I downloaded the Yelp app just to write this. Never in my life have I received such disrespect from a business owner. I received a gift certificate to ms Nash. Like other reviewers, I also received rude emails, had trouble making an appt and calling her, and waited over 2 months for my appt. I showed up and ms. Nash gave me an attitude about not filling a part of the waiver out (it asked if I took medication, which I don't, and if I have any physical conditions, which I don't - in other words I didn't need to fill it out). She was nasty. No smile when she greeted me. Texted me earlier that day to confirm the last name of the person who bought me the gift card- said everything was good. When I arrived she told me to come back when I had the voucher (although I texted her a picture of what I was given- with a bar code, a number, gift message etc. on it) did not seem sympathetic at all, just said come back when you have it. Moreover, the room was SO small- just the bed fit in there. Didn't look relaxing, smell good, or have any ambiance. The waiting room was in a different doctors office. The whole place was completely unprofessional and I understand exactly why nash has 2 stars. read more

I had a great experience with Arlita. I wanted a massage thinking it would relieve the pain I am having with my knee's but after a short talk with Arlita she gave me a one on one session with strength training workout that made an immediate difference. I am glad I didn't go by the negative reviews because this woman was very professional and I hope I can go to her for more physical therapy sessions she was fantastic! Won't go back. Very passive aggressive person. I also arrived early per the written instructions and she was 10 minutes late coming to get me. Not to worry. She gave me more time at the end. I tried to give her a $20 tip on my credit card but the room was so hot and her machine was not working and I thought I was going to faint so I said I'd slip the tip under the door and left to get some cool air so I didn't fall down. This really angered her. I bought 3 more messages and tried to make appointments on line. The on line message comes up that I must call to schedule an appointment but when I call a recorded message says I must make the appointment on line and there is a big circle of having paid with no way to schedule an appointment. I've sent emails but no reply. I think she's angry and is ghosting me over the tip (see Ellie B.'s review) and she isnot responding to my emails. I contacted Groupon and Ms. Nash responded to my wife by scheduling a session 6 weeks away at a time which was inconvenient. Then I was only allowed to schedule one visit at a time. At that rate it will take until 2016 to use my Groupon. The owner is way passive aggressive and I'll just eat the Groupon and loose the money. read more
