I was recommended to Dr. Nash from my sister. I had been going to a different optometrist in the area and I felt like I was receiving lackluster care. I've always had a hard time with eye exams, but Dr. Nash and his team are fantastic at making those feel warm and welcome. I felt like I was free to ask questions, and Dr. Nash truly cared to hear about my symptoms and helped me better understand my prescription. Michael was awesome as well. I had heard great things about Dr Nash, so decided to give Nash Eye Care a try. My disappointment is great. I can't fathom why they're booking out months in advance. Who would return here?? As others have noted, the support staff at the front is shockingly out of tune with their patients (that term should actually be "customers", because this is NOT a medical service provider. More on that later). The overwhelming feeling you get is that you are an unintelligent nuisance, rather than the paying customer that you are. Furthermore, it becomes evident quickly that these gatekeepers don't really know what they're doing or how to do it. When they become self conscious about that, they will step up efforts to gaslight you and really make you pay for their own ineptitude. Once you get past the gargoyles at the front, you begin with the basic series of eye tests from a technician who is already trying to upsell your exam with alternatives to pupil dilation. Odd, but okay whatever, let's continue. Off to the exam room. I was not able to see Dr Nash, but the doctor I did get was good, hence the second star. She seemed efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough, although she was quite cold and not very personable. Okay exam is over, time to pick some frames. But from where? It had struck me that the selection seemed rather sparse when I first walked in, but I thought surely there must be some out-of-sight show room or a hidden display somewhere with ample selection. They certainly have the space at the facility. But, nope. What you see is what you get and let me tell ya, it's not much. I would feel confident estimating that the options were 1/20th of what you'd find with any other optometrist. With nothing to settle on, I opted to retain my old frames and just get new lenses with the new prescription. And here's where they level the boom on you; "basic lenses" will still cost you out of pocket. But should you want scratch protection and anti glare coating; $365. Excuse me?? What?! I have top notch insurance, I have never paid anywhere close to that for new glasses (frames and lenses) with all the bells and whistles. "Can you please check that again?" [the ineptitude cogs start clunking] "Yep, that's right" comes the response. Riiiight. Welp, I'm out. Thanks for the new prescription guess I'm ordering online. This place is just milking its customer base for every penny they can get under the guise of "eye care". This is not an eye care center. This is a grossly overpriced eyewear store, and the staff are just salespeople, rude ones at that. The convenience of location for some does not mitigate the negatives. read more

First off let me say I like Dr. Nash. He caught a weird eye condition and had me off to see the right specialist and for that I'm appreciative. However recently I have left 2 voice mails and sent an electronic message asking to set up 2 appointments, one for me and one for my son. It is now 10 days later and I haven't heard a thing. Worst customer service experience I have ever had! Leaves so much to be desired. If you have a chance go literally anywhere else!! I had my eyes checked here for the very first time, Dr. Nash checked my eyes and Diagnosed a stigmatism. We are needed up changing my prescription. Since day one I have hated my contacts but was told to give them a week and then come back if I don't like them. I ended up calling and we booked an appointment for me to come back in 10 days after my original appointment. I called to cancel since I had already used my insurance and couldn't afford the out of pocket price for another contact fitting/exam. I called and told them exactly that when I cancelled. They cancelled my exam. I just called now to reschedule as I finally have some money after the holidays to get a different prescription. When I called they told me it would be $50 for an exam because it had been so long since he had seen me last (Maybe a few months October/November was my first appointment), I am now upset. If it was suppose to be free after 10 days when I called to say I was having money issues and couldn't afford another exam why did no one say anything. Instead they have been walking around with contacts that are uncomfortable and I can barely see in them (all that I told the lady over the phone initially). Clearly the front desk needs a lesson in compassion and communication. They honestly need to find a job that better suits their personality and clearly should be far away from people. read more

I had an eye injury from a bungee cord back around 2006. I lost the vision in my left eye where my iris was scraped from my eye by the bungee cord hook. ( P.S. number 1 eye accident) I was blessed to become a patient at the E Cole Eye Institute next to the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio. Fast forward to 2021. I've decided it's time for an overall eye exam. I was speaking to a friend, E. Husband, and she said Dr. Nash in Fairview TN is great at solving eye issues and to give him the business. I couldn't be more pleased! Noone has offered me potential vision from my non working eye. After my eye exam he paused and said I have an idea. He tested my bad eye which has no vision other then faint shadows with some of his ideas and I was able to read the chart. It's an emotional thought because I've had concerns about what if I harmed my good eye knowing only one worked. For the small town of Fairview, Nash Eye Care is wonderful. It's located near the edge of town not far from Interstate 840 in a newer building. Because of the new build, everything is clean and contemporary. They have a nice selection of eye glasses to choose from for both men and women. Dr. Nash is young and very polite. He seems to know what he is talking about and he helped me understand an existing condition that I have with my eyes. I ordered a pair of glasses during my visit and I very happy with the results. Dr. Nash took his time and answered all of my questions. He seems to genuinely care for his patients and doesn't speed through like most offices I've been to. He is very thorough with his exams. The staff was friendly and I didn't have to wait to be called back. My experience with this office was excellent. I drove from Bellevue and it was worth the drive! read more

Because of my complex medical history, I am not an easy patient to fit with glasses. Dr. Nash has repeatedly sought new materials for my lenses or replaced something under warranty when my vision was not clear. He is a diagnostician, taking time to question and listen to patient responses. I've seen optomitrists and Opthamologists since I was 4 years old. I always start with Dr. Nash for both vision issues and eye health needs. read more
