Of course, considering he's presumably been in the business awhile, he has his process down to a science. I could tell that while he certainly wasn't following a script, it was a formulaic sort of visit - but not in a negative way. It's not often that I'm happy with medical providers; I can honestly say that this was easily the best experience I've ever had at an optometrist's office, and perhaps top 5 across all specialties - and I have medical providers in my family! He was confident, but not arrogant, wise, but not a know-it-all, and generally had no detectable trace of any negative personality trait stereotype typically associated with many medical practitioners. If you can't tell, it was a refreshing experience - a nice change from my usual, so to speak. Oh, it DOES bear mentioning that he does NOT carry Luxottica eyewear, which owns 80 percent of all high-end eyeglass brands (Ray-Ban, Oakley, Prada, Versace, just to name a few), which is quite the feat. For those of you who HAVE to have the latest brand-name style, mass-produced so you can look like everyone else - just go to him for your exam. You can take your prescription elsewhere. The frames Dr. Conn's office carries span all price ranges, but they all appeared to be of high quality. The pair of frames I settled on were unique, stylish, solidly built, and, many months afterwards, I'm still quite happy with them. In short, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Conn Vision. They offer complimentary specialty coffee beverages during your appointment. The office has a lot of new technology. I had the routine eye exam test with a few advanced test that are recommended as you age. Dr. Collins and staff explained the tests, results and shared what is needed for future care. I was given the option to be fitted and purchase frames from them or I could take my prescription elsewhere. They have a nice selection of glasses ranging from a few moderately priced to the designer styles which are a lot more expensive. I purchased a pair within my budget. The frames were fitted with my prescription and ready for pick up within a week. After a few adjustments they were ready to wear. The glasses did come with a limited warranty for any damage - scratching the lens and repair. I highly recommend if you are looking for a knowledgeable and friendly place for an eye exam and glasses.

One of the front desk staff suggested that I pay the self-pay rate, which I declined. Ultimately, I paid $295 out of pocket. After contacting my insurance company, I discovered that no insurance claim had been submitted for the visit. I then contacted your billing department and requested that a claim be filed. The claim was eventually submitted and paid by my insurance company. However, I am still trying to obtain reimbursement for the money I paid out of pocket. I have called multiple times regarding this matter and have repeatedly been given conflicting information and no clear resolution. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with a medical office.

My review here is mainly going to focus on two individuals - Dr. Barberic and Katie Evans. I'll begin with Katie. She went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of me. When I was referred to a specialist at Vandy, Katie called them to get my appointment scheduled as quickly as possible. She even personally met me when the office was closed in order to pick up some paperwork from me. She texted to check on me over a holiday weekend. This is what excellent customer service looks like! Dr. Barberic is absolutely the best!! I just can't say enough about her and what she has done for me. She is, without a doubt, the most caring and compassionate doctor I've ever seen. The level of care and personal attention she gives is unparalleled. There is no doubt I would not have progressed as well as I have had it not been for Dr. Barberic. She took the time to call and check on me the same weekend of her father-in-law's funeral. That is certainly above and beyond the expectations I had. This place is absolutely terrible. I mean, the worst…read more First, they incorrectly diagnosed me with a hole in my retina. I went to a retina specialist and they said I 100% don't have a hole in my retina. Then when I went back to Cool Springs Eye care and told them they legitimately laughed at me as if it was obvious the specialist was wrong (who they recommended to me). Since then I've gotten it checked by multiple other Doctors and confirmed that there is no hole in my retina. Then they got my prescription wrong by nearly a whole point! When I told them that something felt off they acted bothered and told me there is nothing that they can do. Dr. Robin Brady in particular has the unique quality of being both incredibly arrogant and simultaneously laughably wrong about what he's talking about. I've never been to a worse eye doctor before, someone should seriously take his license away. Please steer clear and go to another doctor in town.

The office is located on the third floor of an easy-to-access medical building, complete with free parking. We arrived and filled out some paperwork, before beginning our exams. Hayley and Dr. Waymire were so friendly and knowledgable, offering helpful explanations to any and all of our questions. Bonus ... for anyone who hates that dreaded prick of air to dilate your eyes, you'll be pleased to know this office does things a little differently!
