Unfortunately, this is not a good review. Please do not attend. There is a serious lack of attention in regards to men of all levels and women of all ages not being trained or refereed as they should. Outside influence and promiscuity is prevalent. There are better masters that teach honor and discipline, this is a free for all. Sorry but true. read more

I highly recommend this gym. They offer a variety of classes for all skill-levels throughout the day and have great instructors. I've enjoyed Anne's Muay Thai class for women on Saturday mornings. She's a great instructor, friendly, good place to learn technique and meet some cool people. read more

My son and I stared about 2 months ago and we both love it. I have to say I was a bit nervous to begin but everyone is very welcoming and knowledgeable with years of experience. The instructors as well as the other students are always willing to help you learn and get better. The kids class has a great mix of fun and discipline which makes learning enjoyable. There are classes multiple days and times of the week to fit into anyone's schedule. You can choose how much your want to attend and which disciplines( Thai kickboxing, jujitsu or both). The kids jujitsu is so much fun! The instructors are great, the gym is clean and we truly look forward to bringing our son every week.

Came in for a few days of training while visiting Nashville. Everyone was professional and welcoming. I took a Muay Thai Class with a coach who's name I forgot, and Wrestling with Coach David. Both classes were taught well with a lot of drilling. Wrestling was a small class and Coach David basically gave me a private lesson. He gave me several tips on my tie up game and focused on all the small details to make sure I walked out of practice a better wrestler. Give that man a raise! read more

Nashville MMA was a nice gym and the staff was friendly. I took a total of four classes in September 2018, two with the marketing director, and two with other instructors. The marketing director definitely knew Muay Thai and seemed knowledgeable of martial arts, though I never felt he was particularly present during our classes, and I was a bit disappointed. I had two classes with him, and I was the only student in each one. He set me out doing the warm ups at the beginning of class, which I did without him because he went somewhere else for me to do them alone. I gathered he was bored. When he came back he spent maybe 40 more minutes with me and then ended class about ten minutes early. When I looked at the clock, he snapped and said don't look at the clock man. He took my number on a post-it note and said he would call me to see how I liked the classes and if I wanted to take more classes. To my knowledge he never called. I think he is a nice guy, definitely into his religious beliefs that are tattooed on his body, and seemed genuine and polite. I can only say he just seemed not very present and not very interested in teaching me. I got the impression after a few times there that I wasn't the desired student they were looking for, perhaps because I'm a slightly out of shape forty-year-old man. Who knows? I give Nashville MMA three stars because it definitely has some good qualities. The staff, including the marketing director, were very friendly. I just didn't feel particularly welcome, so I never returned. Ironically, if he had called me, I likely would have signed up for more classes as they were fun and I could have studied under different instructors, so he lost a very simple sale simply by not calling. I'm getting ready to move, so I have not tried any other MMA gyms in the area at this point, but it might be something I pursue after the move. I would like to learn to defend myself, but hopefully with instructors who are more engaged in teaching. read more

I've been training at Nashville MMA for 11 years. Best group of teachers in the mid south. Nashville Mma is where it all started. UFC fighters and Vets train here. BJJ is also the best in the mid south under Shawn Hammonds. There is not a better place to train. Go check it out. It's life changing. read more

Was in Nashville on vacation and dropped in for a couple of workouts. Initially had a little trouble finding it, but when we finally arrived we found a big gym with clean mats. Didn't have a chance to take a class, but chatted briefly with Lance and saw some of their students training and it seemed to have a legit muay thai/mma program. Can't speak to their BJJ, since we left as the class was about to start. Will definitely stop by next time in Nashville, as it provided nice balance to the hot chicken and honky tonk highway antics. read more
