Usually you want to make sure that you call ahead and book an appointment in advance in order to secure your spot. Something to note is that I did notice that on their sign they crossed out the part where it says "walk-ins accepted." I asked for just a 30 minute reflexology massage. They noticed that I was pregnant and made sure that I was super comfortable and had everything I needed. They were able to sit the chair up so that I wasn't laying flat and provided me with extra pillows. This was super nice and made my experience way more enjoyable. The massage was fantastic and when it was over I was asked if I wanted to add extra time and I really wish I could have said yes but had to say no due to my limited timing. I will definitely be back soon! There is street parking available, as it's a downtown location. My husband was able to just drop me off at the door though! I was greeted promptly, directed to the very nice bathroom/changing room that has a fluffy robe and shoes (I just wore my own slippers I brought). Lots of things in there for you to freshen up with after your massage, including showers! I was offered a drink and ordered some tea and was led to a beautifully serene waiting room. This is where I filled out my paperwork. There also were a few snacks offered! Michelle was amazing from start to finish. I appreciate they ask before if you want quiet or conversation, so it's not awkward if you just want silence! She was so incredible - I left being able to move my neck and a month later have no pain still! Worth every penny.

I just had my second session yesterday and it is amazing! I was familiar with thai as i'd had one in California a long time ago and loved it but didnt' know there was anyone here in nashville that did it! I'm so glad i found him! I have chronic pain in my mid to lower back that i've had for years and it's felt better in the last two weeks than it has in 5 years! the pain is still there but it's half of what it was! I'm going to continue every couple of weeks with the hope of relieving it all the way. Chris (the owner, i'm not sure if there are any other masseuses but that's who i saw) was professional and kind and i felt very comfortable with him. He has a gift! Ps: The price is what i would consider fair, though it is expensive. But they also don't accept tips! He said he didn't want anyone to feel like they couldn't get a massage because they couldn't afford the tip. Or something like that. i just thought that was neat! read more

I was hurting after a week on airplanes, so as soon as I landed at BNA, I went straight to AA Foot Spa, with my luggage, based solely on their reviews. I also used Alice based on the reviews and I'm so grateful I did. I bet I've had 100+ massages, from airport chair massage, to shopping center foot massage, to Pebble Beach SPA, Bellagio, etc... Alice is a muscle whisperer. She was incredible, and not for $200+ an hour, but more like $70. If you're used to going to high-end bougie places, this is going to feel like theft as it's so affordable. It doesn't have all the amenities, but they do use a full size cover up, the bed is comfortable and the room feels about the same. However, if you've already mastered the art of the affordable Asian foot spa, then just know, she's been there over a decade, and she speak clear English. You can have an actual conversation and explain your pains. It's the best of both world's. NOTE: the area looks rough and the outside of the building seems sketchy. If it weren't for the reviews I never would have tried it, but I'm glad I did. Alice is incredible! She's a muscle and soreness whisperer who just inherently finds the pain and fixes it. I wasn't bruised after, was able to have her focus on specific areas, yet felt 100 times better. Could not recommend Alice and AA Foot Spa enough!

Full disclosure I have not ever been to an Asian foot massage parlor much less massage parlor…read morelocated in a strip mall. I apparently I have been missing out. My shoulders have been up around my ears for most of 2020 but going back to get a massage was very low on my list of pandemic priorities. Unable to yoga or stretch or foam roller The stress out of my back, I finally caved and went in to inquire about services (they don't have much of a web presence and I wanted to know if it was clean, so I popped in). It's definitely clean and there were no other people in there so I figured with the stars aligning, was time for me to get massage! There's a small seven chair waiting room, a cash register protected by plexiglass and everyone on staff was wearing masks. There were multiple layers of area protections and they required you to keep your mask on while taking your shirt off. The woman who greeted me explained all the massage options and I opted for a massage bed in a private room versus a chair massage which is something you see at airport massage parlors a lot. Their service menu is definitely weird and not very informative. It's much easier to talk with them than to try to figure out what you're getting while you're just in the waiting room. When they take you into the back, you can see the individual areas, so my recommendation is just getting a short massage or foot massage and get to know the place and then the staff will work with you for your next visit. The woman who did my massage asked a few times how she was doing for a pressure. She clearly knew how to squash the stress out of my back. I felt like a 45-minute massage was ample time to work out the massive adhesions in my shoulders. I absolutely feel like 90 minutes would be totally worth the money if you're looking for the Oliver experience. I'm generally not the fan of deep tissue massage and masseuse walked the line of swedish massage and deep tissue massage. I could feel adhesions coming apart and getting more mobility but it wasn't the kind of crippling pain they can sometimes put you in with elbows in your spine when they really want to be aggressive. It wasn't really any kind of pain. I'm huge wimp. They had a lovely wrap up with different temperature oils and heated cloth to make you moisturized but not slick like a baby seal. Kudos to them for doing a hair towel wrap prior to putting on any moisturizer. I'm less enthusiastic about foot massage in general but I'm going to give it a whirl - I promise to report back. Oh, and those signs about not soliciting prostitution that folks have posted in their reviews, those are real! Bill Belichick has absolutely ruined the strip club massage parlor for the rest of us! PROTIPS: Appointments are by no means required. There's a sign at the desk asking that you tip in cash. Prices are generally about a dollar a minute. Ask for Tina ....she's awesome!

The day of my appointment, I was called and asked to move my time earlier due to a cancellation, which felt like it was done to consolidate appointments. From the start, the experience went downhill. The therapist asked which areas I wanted to focus on, and I clearly said shoulders, low back, and hips. She never touched my low back or hips at all. Instead, about 30 minutes of the session was spent lightly rubbing my palms and feet, not massaging. The pressure was extremely light throughout, more like oil being spread than any form of therapeutic work. At no point did she check in about pressure. About halfway through, I realized it wasn't going to improve, so I asked her to increase the pressure. She didn't respond. When I looked up, I saw she had earphones in. I had to ask again. She acknowledged me, but nothing changed. Throughout the massage, she was yawning, disengaged, and made it very clear she did not want to be there. It honestly felt like my appointment was an inconvenience. When she pulled the sheet from under my arms, she yanked it hard enough to cause a friction burn. I said "ow," and she proceeded to do the same thing on the other side. We paid over $125 to essentially have massage oil rubbed on me for an hour, without receiving the service that was booked or communicated. I left the appointment in tears. To make matters worse, when I went to check out, there was no one at the desk. I had to wait for someone to come back from getting coffee, only to be told I was "good to go" and didn't need to wait. No one asked how my appointment was or acknowledged the experience at all. This was meant to be a relaxing gift and turned into a genuinely upsetting experience. I would not recommend this place based on my visit.
