I had been to this spa numerous times over the years and it was always good. I hadn't gone in awhile. This evening I went and found a great surprise as they have changed ownership. The whole place is completely redone, very calm and relaxing decor and they added more massage rooms. I always get the 90 minute foot reflexology which includes neck and back and arms, legs (fully clothed) which I again got this evening. It was a wonderful experience! Relax Foot Spa is located in the Kroger shopping plaza that sits right on Highway 100 in Bellevue. It is a not large or fancy place, but it is laid out well and has just enough room to get you feeling right! I recently moved from Atlanta and have been on a mission to find a new local foot/massage spa in the area and after seeing the reviews, I ended up at Relax! I find it hard to complain about anything after receiving a 90 minute massage, but there were a few things that got me about this spot. First, the check-in process...or lack thereof. I made an appointment for a 90 minute Asian Combo (1 Hour Body/30 Min Foot) to be at 12:30. I happened to walk in at the same time as another patron and we were whisked off to the back and placed in our respective rooms. I told the therapist I was here for the 90 minute combo and she confirmed. However, it turned into just a 90 minute table massage. Which again, was great...but I was really looking forward to that foot soak and dedicated time for foot massage. A few other things that made it hard for me to truly enjoy were the lighting in the room and the noise outside of the room. The lighting was too bright, and made it hard to truly shutdown even with something over my eyes. Maybe it was the room I was in, but the walls are paper thin and I could hear everything, including conversations throughout my massage. Overall, my therapist was excellent. She was friendly, kind, professional and talented. The massage was great, however next time I go I will make sure to get full confirmation they know what I am getting/expecting. Heaven! I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting into when I signed up due to the complicated menu and the slight language barrier. But I was pleasantly surprised with one of the best massages I have ever received! I opted to enjoy the foot detox, the foot bath that has a machine pull out the toxins in your body as you soak for about 15 minutes. It was a little pricey but worth it! When they showed me the color of the water before they pulled it away I was shocked at how much it had turned colors in a short amount of time! I'm not going to say what color mine turned, but they have a chart that you can compare it to match the color to what your body was needing to cleanse. I might have been cleansing my liver on a cellular level if the water was brown etc...Just a random example. Yep...totally random...just grabbed that comparison out of the ethers for some reason. But you can have it done and see you yourself what color yours turns. I'm sure yours would be beautiful as well! Now that the water had been taken away, I enjoyed a 39 minute foot massage. At times it was uncomfortable but I hung in there due to being a hairstylist with nerves that are pretty jacked. In other words...I need all hands on deck! The massage did things to my body. It was a strange sensation. I believe it's called being relaxed, but I'm not sure I've ever done that before so I'll have to go back again and do some more research. The rest of the massage was amazing. He had me flip over on my back in a giant chair that leans back into a horizontal position. At this point I didn't mind that the chair was in a public area for anyone to see. I do yoga so I'm already in the habit of keeping my eyes on my own mat and it didn't t bother me at all. I don't have time to care who sees me enjoying myself. In fact I could use witnesses because it has been a while since I did anything for myself. I was quite surprised how agile the masseuse was, and how much pressure he was able to apply for being such a smaller frame than I. I mean...somebody get that guy a water! He worked his tail off. I did like the actual reflexology part of the massage where they hit exact pressure points to release certain muscles in your back. It did feel like he had pre-sharpened his elbows before his shift in order to really get in there like he had to for how tight I am in my back. So I really appreciated the dedication and hard work he put into it for sure. I would go back here in a heartbeat. However this can be a very popular spot and a little hard to get into. If you call ahead you can make an appointment and that will help. Other than that you will have to wait in the waiting room, which is an exercise in patience by itself. Full disclosure I have not ever been to an Asian foot massage parlor much less massage parlor located in a strip mall. I apparently I have been missing out. My shoulders have been up around my ears for most of 2020 but going back to get a massage was very low on my list of pandemic priorities. Unable to yoga or stretch or foam roller The stress out of my back, I finally caved and went in to inquire about services (they don't have much of a web presence and I wanted to know if it was clean, so I popped in). It's definitely clean and there were no other people in there so I figured with the stars aligning, was time for me to get massage! There's a small seven chair waiting room, a cash register protected by plexiglass and everyone on staff was wearing masks. There were multiple layers of area protections and they required you to keep your mask on while taking your shirt off. The woman who greeted me explained all the massage options and I opted for a massage bed in a private room versus a chair massage which is something you see at airport massage parlors a lot. Their service menu is definitely weird and not very informative. It's much easier to talk with them than to try to figure out what you're getting while you're just in the waiting room. When they take you into the back, you can see the individual areas, so my recommendation is just getting a short massage or foot massage and get to know the place and then the staff will work with you for your next visit. The woman who did my massage asked a few times how she was doing for a pressure. She clearly knew how to squash the stress out of my back. I felt like a 45-minute massage was ample time to work out the massive adhesions in my shoulders. I absolutely feel like 90 minutes would be totally worth the money if you're looking for the Oliver experience. I'm generally not the fan of deep tissue massage and masseuse walked the line of swedish massage and deep tissue massage. I could feel adhesions coming apart and getting more mobility but it wasn't the kind of crippling pain they can sometimes put you in with elbows in your spine when they really want to be aggressive. It wasn't really any kind of pain. I'm huge wimp. They had a lovely wrap up with different temperature oils and heated cloth to make you moisturized but not slick like a baby seal. Kudos to them for doing a hair towel wrap prior to putting on any moisturizer. I'm less enthusiastic about foot massage in general but I'm going to give it a whirl - I promise to report back. Oh, and those signs about not soliciting prostitution that folks have posted in their reviews, those are real! Bill Belichick has absolutely ruined the strip club massage parlor for the rest of us! PROTIPS: Appointments are by no means required. There's a sign at the desk asking that you tip in cash. Prices are generally about a dollar a minute. Ask for Tina ....she's awesome! read more

The husband and I were in a pinch for a last-minute massage and Relax Massage was able to fit us in on a Sunday. We got the Asian Fusion 90 Minute that included a 60-minute table massage, ginger foot soak, and reflexology foot massage. It was overall an enjoyable experience and we would do it again. The ambiance was nice but the building was not very quiet and the walls were thin. The massage table was definitely lacking and bare bones but the massage was great! The facility itself was in a shopping center and you would drive right by without ever knowing its there. They offer a discount for paying in cash and require you tip the masseuse in cash or they charge you extra fees. I wish I had known when I called ahead. Got the Groupon for the 1 hour reflexology massage. I called ahead and was able to get appointment within the hour. The massage area was dark, quiet, and comfortable. They had a large main area and some smaller rooms for the table massages. I was led to one of the large recliner chairs in the main room. My feet were soaked in a tub of warm water while my masseuse went to work. She had me recline fully with an eye mask so I was in complete zen mode for the whole process. I am very tender footed so some of the pressure points in my feet where painful. I just had to react slightly and she would ease up. The upper portion of the massage was very much needed. The massage itself was good, deep tissue massage. I've received many massages before but never had anyone tuck the sheet so low that your butt crack was showing. After a minute or so, I pulled my underwear back up. Then after one point he left without saying anything so I was about to leave. I waited what seem like forever and was about to leave. Glad I didn't get up cause he came back in. Then during the leg massage, he then touched my underwear to tuck the sheet in to a point where I felt like I was wearing a thong. I get massages regularly and have been here several times. I've only done the Swedish and deep tissue massages, not the reflexology group session in the main room. My favorite therapist is Lily (sidenote: masseuse is the outdated term...as a former massage therapist I can attest that it is offensive to call a massage professional a "masseuse" in this day and age). Lily gives one of the best massages I have had in a long time. I prefer the Western style of massage but have yet to find a therapist I like on this side of town. While I am not a fan of some of the Asian massage modalities (especially tapotements and the use of a hot wet towel) she doesn't do too many of them and her technique is at once relaxing and effective pain relief so I will continue to go back. I do also wish they incorporated bolsters to support my knees and ankles instead of having me lay flat, and perhaps a heated table warmer. I am often a bit chilly in there, especially since she removes the blanket and only leaves me with the sheet. Otherwise I would have given this 5 stars if it were just for Lily's work. Note: Some other reviewers mentioned the therapist getting on the table or pushing their underwear down too far, etc. Both the male and female therapists do that here and it's not the first time I have experienced this, both at Relax and elsewhere at spas across the country. I do not feel they are trying to be inappropriate -- it's just that Eastern massage is different than what most Americans are used to. Western massage teaches the practitioner to keep you covered for modesty at all times and never to cross a boundary of touching underwear (even to move it out of the way of the treatment area) or to get up on the table for better reach. If you can get past these harmless actions and just relax and realize they are just trying to give you the best massage in the way they have been trained, you will have a good experience here. read more

This massage place is right next door to the Highway 100 Kroger in Bellevue where I work. We decided to go for a 20 minute chair massage just to get an idea of how it was. We walked in at noon and they got us right in. My husband's masseuse was ANDY, and when he came out 20 minutes later he was completely impressed. The small reception area belies the large quiet areas in the back, extremely relaxing environment and you just can't beat the price. For a little more than a dollar a minute it's fantastic for anyone on their feet all day, doing construction or basically any work where any of your muscles ache. Some other places in the area would charge double what they cost. I am a little sore today but that deep tissue massage was really out of the world. It's been pre Covid since my last one so I expected to be sore today. But it's a good kinda sore. My back, neck and shoulders feel free. Like the blood is finally flowing through them. Also, I am by no means a small girl. I weight about 280. My therapist was a small framed man who was probably 1/3 of me. He had such incredible power and precision. I was so impressed. I felt command relaxed the whole time. My only hiccup was I had the foot detox and had an aromatherapy mask in and didn't get to see the color of the water. But oh well. Even though the outside of the building is in a shopping center, the inside was very clean and relaxing. The staff at the front desk was very friendly. When I was shown to my room, the room was clean and you could tell that the sheets had been changed on the table. The room itself was dimly lit and very quiet, with good sound isolation. Great stuff! Really relaxing! We are greeted and they start on us right away, which is amazing. Our group of 3 received the reflexology massage and it was great! Mine felt like a deep tissue massage which was great for me since I have a lot of knots. Just let the massager know if you don't want it as deep.
