Saw Dr Margulis and was very pleasant and gave me a thorough exam. Gave me a script for computer and reading glasses. When I checked out I knew I had a $20 copay. The receptionist asked if I got a prescription I said yes. She then told me there was a $50 charge. I said for what and she said the prescription. I told her I never paid for a prescription in my life. Will never going back there again. read more

We will never go to Nassau Ophthalmology Associates at all because they hate patients, they denied every patients and my mom have an appointment today at 6:45 PM and this is it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and they're gonna lose all of its patients until I'm taking a lawyer to be suing Drs. Kirsch and Margulis and their secretary for this kind of fraudant appointment. read more

When I went to this doctor for follow up, he told me that the debris would go away but such huge chunks could not, I confirmed with another doctor. As a result I had to go to another surgeon who did vitrectomy and placed the haptic in the sac (i.e correctly placed the lens in the eye). Surprising thing is that when the second doctor called Hatsis and said told him that haptic was not in the sac, Hatsis told him that was OK. This is shocking. I would not recommend Hatsis to anyone.

Dr. Hirshfield truly knows his craft, and it shows in the care he provides. I'm truly grateful for his expertise. At the age of 19, one morning I woke up and could not see. My eyes were sensitive to sunlight. I visited several hospitals and went to numerous doctors, and no one could give me answers as to what was going on with my eyesight. I don't remember how I found Dr. Hirshfield but the day I walked into his office changed my life. He knew exactly what the issue was and explained to me in full detail in terms I could understand; he also shared with me his plan of action and ensured me I was in good hands. Dr Hirshfield performed a cornea transplant on my left eye when I was 22 years old and five years later performed another cornea transplant on my right eye. When I walked into Dr Hirshfield's office I was legally blind. Here it is I am 50 years old and under the care of Dr Hirshfield I am no longer legally blind, my donated corneas are still functioning to their fullest potential, and with the aid of glasses I can see. The best decision I ever made was entrusting Dr Hirshfield with my care. Genice B
