To be honest, it is uncomfortable to write details about my experience; but to keep it short and to the point. Shannon just doesn't have what it takes to manage many moving parts. You can hire her to plan your kids birthday party, but by no means can she handle a wedding; and mine had under 150 guests. My other vendors had a hard time coordinating with her and appeared disgruntled towards her. understandably so. I met with Aaren about a year before my wedding date and during our first meeting I really think we hit it off just right. I felt like I was talking to someone who truly "got me". I think Aaren knew that I was a Type-A (OCD) bride and she was able to calm my nerves. During our meeting she explained to me the different packages they offered. I knew I wanted a day before/day of person, but I also liked the idea of having someone help out during the month off for all of the other things. I wanted to do all the planning, but I needed someone to do the implementation. It was a done deal. I left that meeting and I knew I needed Aaren in my life! Soon after our first meeting I called her to confirm and sign a contract! It was a huge relief for me to know that I had Aaren. She made me feel at ease. Throughout the process I e-mailed her questions about etiquette and I kept her up-to-date with other vendors. I knew she was keeping a folder so whenever I had an update I would send it her way. I would like to think I wasn't a needy bride, but I know there were times when I started panicking for no reason. Aaren always calmed me down. By the week of my wedding I had a ton of items and decorations to drop off with her. I met her in her office and talked through my "vision" and provided her all the items she needed. She also had all my other vendor information and told me she would be in contact with them for the timeline of the event. I did not need to worry about anything! Honestly, it felt great to not have to worry about anything. I think I did a good job of just letting things go. Aaren and 2 assistants arrived for the rehearsal and had all the details confirmed for the next day. By the day of the wedding I was actually very "chill" since I knew Aaren and her team would make sure the ceremony and reception were set up correctly. She was my point person for the day and did an awesome job at handling all the day of things. By the time I made it to my reception the everything was set up just as I had hoped. Aaren really did listen to me and she made sure everything was just right. I knew I could trust her to get things done right. Again, as a type-A person it was hard to let go, but Aaren was the best person for me to trust. I didn't even worry about anything. There were a few minor issues that came up throughout the day, but with her help no one knew anything! It was flawless and my wedding was everything I had ever imagined it would be. We moved our wedding from Saturday to Friday and she helped us more than I ever imagined she would. She stayed calm too! What a relief. The day of our wedding we had a wonderful woman named Linda who made sure we were as comfortable as can be. When I think of Moulin, I think of those two fabulous women who did a phenomenal job. She was prompt and sent over an invoice and tax forms right away, was there a half hour before the event even started, and got the whole staff painted before guests arrived. Throughout the event she interacted with guests and got tons of people to come over to get painted, and the best part was that she had so many of her own supplies. It was a Day of the Dead theme and there were paints and jewels aplenty! To say Jessica went above and beyond for my event would be an understatement. Our event was at the Polish Heritage Center, not at The Christy Banquet Hall, so our experience was with them catering outside of their main venue. Food The Christy has a moderate sized menu of standard American and Italian fare. you build your menu within one of three packages: the basic buffet (9.95-12.95 a head), classic buffet (10.95-14.25 a head), or grand buffet (14.25-17.95 a head.) We went with the classic buffet which included 2 main course options, three sides, and a salad. All of our guests raved about the food and left the party satisfied. Service Our agent at the Christy was very easy to work with. she helped us plan and let us customize the catering to fit our event. The waiters at the event itself were polished and professional. Sometimes if I'm at a wedding and I noticed no one's dancing a look around and see that it is not Night magic DJ'ing. I think even though they might be a little bit more than some other DJs they are 100% worth the money. If you want to make a night memorable book them. My husband and I always say we had the most fun ever at our own wedding which is pretty cool, and it was mostly because of the DJ! They always interact with the guests and even get the older crowd into it. I like to have a lot of fun, so I thought it was really cool when the DJ did the sprinkler and different 70s dances.
