My father was a carpenter. He said the most difficult job in carpentry was to hang doors. Richard's work was perfect. Not only that! He was polite, on time, and clean. I put towels and sheets to cover the furniture, since he had to remove and replace walls to install the sliding doors. He was so clean, that in spite of having to sand the taped drywall, there was no dust when I shook out the towels and sheets. Every evening he cleaned up, and when he finished, it looked like a cleaning crew had just left the house. I can't imagine better carpenters than Steve Unser and Richard Wagner. We wanted to have our bar-top island lowered to standard counter height, and Kim thoroughly explained all of the details and steps involved in making that happen. This included moving the electrical outlets and coordinating the timing for having the plumbing disconnected and then reconnected. The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly The Good - The sales department did a very good job helping me find the right remnant at the right price for my project. They worked within my budget to get me the right countertop for my bathroom project. Be careful though, as this "decreased price" at point of sale resulted in my paying more in the long run. The Bad - This company has no appreciation for customer's time. I had an appointment for a specialist to look at the project and create a template for the countertop. The appointment was for between 10:00 and 12:00. The specialist arrived at 11:58. While that was inside the window, the additional 45 minutes it took him to complete the template was well outside the timeline. The company told me it would take five to seven days to cut the countertop. It took nearly three weeks. The installation appointment was between 1:00 and 3:00. The installation team arrived at 3:23. The Ugly - During installation, the installation team damaged both walls on either side of the countertop. When I highlighted this to the company, they explained that it was considered "fair wear and tear" as part of the contract. When I highlighted the "Limitation and Liability" portion of their contract, which does not address wall damage in any portion, the manager told me that the company would not pay for damages that occurred during installation. They did offer a $100 "inconvenience compensation" payment. When I provided an estimate of $468.67 to fix the wall, the company refused to discuss the matter any further.
