On October 14th, they received a pathology report indicating a cancerous tumor in my appendix. I had a post-operative appointment with Mary and a follow-up call regarding my bloodwork results. Unfortunately, Mary only reviewed the bloodwork results and failed to inform me of my cancer diagnosis twice within three days. When I called to inquire, Clemmy informed me that it was not feasible for them to read every report that comes in and expressed her apologies. She also mentioned that Mary would likely call to apologize as well, but she has not done so. I believed my primary care physician was responsible for handling situations like this, especially when the hospital and surgeon did not contact me. I relied on Mary to review the report that had been placed in my file two days earlier.
