Via text we set up an appointment, and he was not only on time but also courteous. He texted me his timing twice before he arrived to make sure I knew what his arrival would be. He assessed the job thoroughly, even getting on the ground to feel and smell certain areas that were slightly more heavily stained. He then pre-treated difficult areas and proceeded to power wash the job as promised in the time as estimated. He was punctual, courteous, and polite throughout the process. I couldn't have asked for a better worker. Three days later the stains are still visibly absent. The carpet is now completely dried and I couldn't have been happier with the entire process. I would not hesitate to call this company again for any job, big or small. I was even assured Vera would be doing my cleaning. And she did...for a while. In the beginning the results were "fine". Never great, never bad....just fine. (And the person who recommended them said the same when they made the recommendation.) Then suddenly Vera was not coming with the other cleaner(s), the cleaning was even more hit and miss, something was broken every visit but I was never informed--I would have to discover it myself--and one item was near $1k in original value. Like the other reviewers, Vera's cleaners began spending less and less time here, and sent fewer people (but continued to charge the same). When I tried to address these things with the man who seems to run the business, it often resulted in a lot of ballooned BS without any actionable results. I am not a difficult person, I am mostly flexible on timing even though I work from home, my home is not large, this should have been a pretty straightforward transactional relationship. The last text I sent trying to reset expectations on what needed to be accomplished was not responded to and instead they just sent one person to clean and she stayed for an hour--which is highway robbery. The simple requests via text (which were things they used to provide regularly but had stopped) did not happen. If you're looking for consistent and easy cleaning partners to support your busy schedule, save yourself the trouble and find someone other than Vera's. ...and please let me know if you have any suggestions, as I am now seeking new solutions! It's come to the point that they're not even worth continuing to keep on until I find a replacement....that should say everything you need to know.
