Sean of SSWR is amazing. We had a pipe burst that flooded our whole downstairs during the cold snap…read moreand Sean drove out of his way to come take a look at our house the same day. He gave us an honest assessment to compare with the insurance adjustor, provided a ton of helpful additional info to two panicked first time homebuyers, and even brought out a dehumidifier for us until we could rent more. He was too booked out to take our mitigation job at the time- and was honest about that which is rare- but checked in with us to see after the fact to see how we were doing. He really does care about people making the best choice in a crappy situation. My whole family works in the building trades and you can just tell when someone is passionate about their work and treats the homes of their customers like it's their own. You can spot transparency and honesty from a sales pitch. Sean is someone I would absolutely trust to work on my home.

We were hearing water dripping sound from one of the wall near bathroom. I called Sean from SSWR…read more He was prompt to respond and came on the same day all the way from Tacoma to Lynnwood. He did a thorough inspection and assured me there is no issue. He had the the right set of tools to check the moisture content in the wall and had an infrared device to check if there is any leakage behind the wall. He volunteered to go to the attic and do thorough checking. Respect his hard work. Will be a happy returning customer if in case I face any damages related to water in my home.

In September, we found a damp patch of carpet in our basement and a slow leak in our HVAC unit…read more This spread to two rooms, damaging the carpet and big chunks of drywall. We called several emergency water restoration companies, but Green Planet Restoration was the only one able send someone out to access our situation that day. David, our field supervisor, thoroughly inspected the damage and gave us an honest and careful outlook about the restoration process. Optimistically planning on insurance coverage, but realistically expecting denial, he made sure that all work and costs were approved by us before and throughout the insurance process. Thankfully we ended up being covered, and David helped negotiate on our behalf. Olman, our project manager, was attentive and communicative. He kept us up to date with all the work and progress, and helped us coordinate with the workers we had coming and going for several weeks. The crew working on the house was excellent, too! Giovanni walked us through the work, and helped us when we wanted to make adjustments. We made some pretty drastic changes to our spaces, installing LVP in both rooms and painting the wall and ceiling a dark color in one of them. These big upgrades were easily handled. At no point did we ever feel like we were left hanging or out of the loop. Even throughout the payment process, with several hiccups with our insurance checks, they were kind, patient, and understanding. Green Planet Restoration and their team help make a nightmare of a situation much easier to manage. Thank you to the whole team!

The plumber who arrived was James and he quickly found the problem, fixed it, and gave me suggestions to not have repeated issues. 5 star service.

Two complaints about the call center, two about the technician…read more Context: bathtub drain plug won't release. 1) The call center assured me a drain tech could resolve my issue in a single visit. He could not. 2) I was given a 1-hour arrival window, then told to expect an ETA update when it passed. Neither the dispatcher nor the tech ever contacted me with an update and he arrived 20+ minutes late. My complaint isn't the delay but the lack of communication. 3) The tech worked hard and diagnosed the issue thoroughly, but left without telling me he was leaving, without giving me a quote, and without any next steps, even though I was the one who scheduled the appointment. 4) As a Washington state tenant whose landlord failed to act on a major plumbing issue within the legally required 72-hour window, I have the right under RCW 59.18.100 to hire my own contractor and deduct the cost as long as I send an estimate to my landlord first. The tech left me with nothing to submit. When I called to request a copy, I was told repeatedly that they "literally can't" provide it as only the tech has it, and moreover can only give it to the landlord--despite the fact that I'm the one who scheduled the appointment and clearly identified myself as the tenant. After asking the same question six or seven different ways, the agent finally agreed to ask the tech to reach out me. It's been 24 hours and neither me nor my landlord have received a quote or any contact from them. The result: a wasted morning, another day without a working shower/bath, and the strong impression that if you're a tenant you're not their customer.

After we ripped up the entire carpeted space and treated it--I wanted info from a professional to see if there was anything else that we needed to do before getting the affected slab ground down and polished. I spoke with several companies who were unhelpful over the phone or charging ridiculous fees just to come out and provide an estimate. Mathew, the owner of Puget Sound Water Rescue was timely in his responsiveness over the Yelp App (on a Sunday afternoon) and ultimately provided us the perspective and information that we needed to determine whether or not professional remediation services were warranted at this point. Ultimately we determined with his help that they were not. Despite the fact that we did not end up hiring (anyone), his knowledge, honesty, and helpfulness were 5 stars worthy. Highly recommend talking to and/or Mathew for your remediation needs!

So, when my portable AC leaked onto my flooring last night, I knew who I was going to contact. I called when they opened, and found out that he was booked for the next week. I decided to send him a message to see if there was a company he would recommend to me. He actually responded immediately and said that he'd be able to squeeze me in! You have no idea how grateful I was to hear that. He gave me two time options, and called me when he was on the way. I had no idea how much water had made its way into my flooring, so I was preparing myself for the worst. Turns out, it didn't end up being a catastrophe! Matthew used a thermal camera, and a moisture meter to inspect for moisture on the floor/subfloor and flex ducting. Once again, he was thorough at his job, and in his communication. It's difficult finding people that take pride in their work, are trustworthy, and do a great job. I've had quite a few companies do various types of jobs for me, and there are only two who I'd recommend. Mathew with Puget Sound Water Rescue is one of them!
