I would like to give a big shoutout to Richard! I don't even know where to start but we were so impressed with him from the moment we walked in. He listened to us time after time and explained the flooring options with great detail. He knows his stuff! I was impressed with how much time he took with us every time we walked in. We changed our minds A LOT but he never made us feel like we were bothering him or annoying him. Each time we asked about a new floor, he took the time to explain to us the quality, material, longevity, etc. He would answer our text messgaes and phone calls every time we had questions. For us, choosing a floor was a big deal so we needed someone like him to be patient with us. He is passionate about his work and it shows!! I live in Monrovia & drive past this store all of the time! I started a home remodel that included replacement of all floors throughout the house. I stopped and looked a many stores & tons of flooring options & brands before deciding to check out this local store. Lucky for me, my store associate was Richard. Richard is the most professional, knowledgeable, informative, diligent salesman! He knew about all of his products, the pros, the cons, and is very patient! The store carries many brands for flooring, but we decided to go with Mohawk due to the feel of the floor, sturdy, and the colors were gorgeous. Richard allowed us to take some samples home for a few days. This was the most useful! We got to lay it down, walk on it with and without shoes, hear the sound it makes when you walk on it and also see how the shades look in your space. He was always a text or phone call away to answer all of my questions and follow-ups. Because we fell in love with one of the Mohawk shades and it's apparent quality amongst the rest, and mostly because of the trust Richard gained from us and his qualities noted above, as well as the cost, which they totally worked with us on, we ended up deciding to purchase our flooring at National Flooring Outlet. The process, pick-up and ordering of other items was so easy and like I said, Richard was alongside every step of the way. My son and I went there anyway to see the place, was surprised to find helpful and accommodating person , Richard Garcia, who gave us samples and choose the baseboards for us. Samples are high quality and expensive but he gave them at a price I can afford. Floorings we're installed and they're very satisfying. I was looking for a guy who came to my house for an estimate and couldn't find him. There was a guy in a back room I think he saw me but didn't care and ig-nored me. There was a guy on the phone with his back to me which made no sense since he couldn't see anyone coming in the building. No one seemed to care I was there so I left. I was there maybe 5-10 minutes at the most This ge-neration has no concept of customer service. I'm 72 and was raised to feel if someone leaves without being acknowledged then that's money our the door. Almost like Home Depot who used to care but now customers to them are just $$ rather than people. Treat me like a valuable person and not just with a fake insin-cere smile and say "Have a nice day" since that means nothing. I'm from MA ori-ginally and never saw this attitude until I moved out here. The money is all the same but the people are really indifferent. read more

STAY AWAY. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. I am pretty late with my review as I had new flooring put in within the past year. I had a terrible experience with this company. After a few months of the service my entire floor started coming apart. I had to go around the whole house and tape down areas that needed to be repaired. I complained and was told by the company that the people they hired to do the work were not professionals and also that there were issues with a lot of other customers because of that. This upset me because why would you hire someone to do work for your company if they aren't professional or don't know what they are doing. A new crew came out to repair and start the process completely over. Once they left I cleaned up all of the trash, plastic, scraps they just left all over my backyard. I called the company again and complained.. they didn't do a single thing. Very unprofessional, couldn't believe it. After the first repair the company left a very heavy large box with additional flooring, I asked them to pick up , they never did so I had to carry it out to my garage. I was also told on two different occasions that the manager was going to come out and monitor the repair , I was given two different days and specific times and that individual never showed just the crew. I didn't believe anything they said because they never follow through with their words. Today , months after the repair I was cleaning up my backyard as I had other junk back there and never realized there was additional crap this company left behind. On top of what was left from the repair I also found a large trash bag filled with additional floor pieces and trash as well as a large bucket filled with the floor glue. Also they damaged my wall as shown in pictures. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I wish I had gone with someone else and I wouldn't be surprised if the flooring starts to come apart again. read more

I ended up at National Flooring Outlet because I was actually going to a competitor's location next door, however, I thought I would check out National Flooring first. I was greeted by Richard Garcia. He was very pleasant and allowed me to look around without pressuring me, in spite of the fact that the store was set to close in 30mins. When I had questions he was extremely knowledgeable & very friendly. My mind was set on hardwood floor because I didn't want manufactured flooring. Richard taught me about how some hardwood flooring is softer or harder depending on the species. All that makes a difference with price points. Richard also educated me on the difference between manufactured and engineered flooring. He even let me to bring home a sample. This allowed me to learn, firsthand, how durable & high quality engineered flooring actually is. I also appreciated the wider variety of color & wood species options available. We ended up purchasing engineered flooring by SK & will post pictures once it's installed. I work in a service industry & therefore customer service is #1. Richard provides exceptional customer service. I would recommend National Flooring as they do have good prices for whatever project is being done & for all budgets. In addition, the customer service extended by Richard is exemplary & worth purchasing from them based on that alone. read more

We just moved into a new home and Robert met us there before close of escrow to take measurements, then we worked on the date of installation adjacent to the time we get the keys to our new house. Like I said, everything went seamlessly and smoothly. We even had him return for an additional room and his team that installed it were wonderful. They even moved large furniture out and back in once complete. I liked how they were super clean too and vacuumed not just the newly installed carpet, but places they walked on and treaded in dirt. I cannot in good conscious recommend them. I went with this company because my aunt had used them previously and was happy with the work. Unfortunately both the sales rep and the crew that did the work for her have long since moved on and man what a difference that makes. The process of getting the quote was easy enough BUT I can't say anything else after was. The original quote they provided me was NOT competitive to other companies (Universal Floor Covering, The Floor Center, Flooring Pro, Inc., even Empire) and that's not even taking into account the cost that other general contractors were quoting me (although you'd be responsible for your own wood). When I brought up the fact that their prices were not competitive compared to other and that they instantly brought it down by $2K (which to me means they were already up charging since there was no change in service - and the material wasn't changed or any cheaper, they quoted at $4.69/ sq. ft. after for the cheaper price which in hindsight seems to high especially when you can get wood at home depot for that cost - when they go through distributors it's much cheaper (I know because one of the general contractors had sent me to Discount Floors & Mouldings in LA to look for wood samples). I did both upstairs and downstairs (replacing carpet with hardwood) and my mistake was assuming that they thought of the sound/noise from top floor carrying over to 1st floor - you would think that a company that's been in the business for years would know and point that fact out and make a recommendation. They didn't. Thank goodness my coworker had me double check with them. I thought the cost of padding would be included and it wasn't, SO OF COURSE I HAD TO PAY EXTRA. And the padding isn't that thick (I still hear LOUD noise from above). The installers also left MULTIPLE holes in my stairs that their rep Ed swears were there before with the carpet (no they weren't because if they were they should have sent an text/email to me with the photo saying, there's a large hole in your wall that we didn't make) and didn't patch up. But yet they did selectively patch/glue some... there's no rhyme or reason to which ones or why. Also, in the entire time the crew was installing my floors I didn't see Ed once to oversee or check in (I've got the Ring doorbell so I was able to keep an eye on who was coming in and out of the house). And email communication with him was always challenging. While I love my floors, the color of them and the shine - the stairs are a disaster and SOME of my floors still have number pencil markings on them "1/3" from when they were installing. Save yourself the headache and frustrating experience and go with someone else. They might get the job done, but I can't say you'll be happy about the journey or end product. read more

I went in looking for vinyl flooring for my kitchen, and as I walked through the warehouse, I spotted a carpet I could love (I'm very picky about carpet!). Well, in the end, we did the (very large) kitchen, the (also large) upstairs bathroom and replaced the wall-to-wall carpet in the living room and up the staircase. I was about to purchase 900 sqft of Mohawk rev plus tiles but unfortunately the worker named Robert was very short of customer service. October 31 around 2:50pm, the store was empty and we were the only customers inside. The minute we walked in he gave us the impression he wasn't really in the mood to work with us. His attitude was very short of helpful. There' was another customer who walked in 10 minutes after us while we were looking and he was very jolly and helpful all the way from when they walked in to when they walk out and even after he knew we were still there he just sat at his desk and didn't proceed to help, we had to come towards him...then when I asked for a quote, he asked us what pad we wanted and we weren't sure ...he didn't even explain the differences in the pads and he again made us feel like we were wasting his time at that point so we left and went somewhere else! Very bad customer service! Never again will come to this place! read more

Remodeling. Sure, it's rewarding and fun to do it yourself - to an extent. Here at National flooring one can get lost in a multitude of flooring and bath tiles like a kid can get lost in willy wonka's chocolate factory. But be warned... there are no singing dwarfs here to remind you how to calculate the surface area of your shower stall. No helpful advice giving orange people to warn you about the pitfalls of doing it yourself. They are just there to point to the samples that you can already plainly see and then take your money. No advice. Not an inking of help. Not even a mere suggestion. Ok, fine. It's a discount place. So they don't have a lot of customer service. Who cares? I am saving so much money. Why, even the sign on the door says "we'll beat Home Depot's prices"... Well, here I am. A little singing person dressed in overalls to warn you about misleading advertising and unhelpful sales people. Big on selection. Low on service. Sure, maybe some stuff is cheap, but do yourself a favor and get your tile from Home Depot or another neighboring tile store. read more

Hugo, the guy who handles the flooring and installation is kind and helpful and his installers were quick and on time. But BEWARE, the guys who sell countertops at this location are a separate company leasing space in the same room and their installer, Alan was HORRIBLE. He installed the counters (finally!) decently, but he was SO unprofessional and told me lie after lie about why he couldn't come as scheduled, stringing me along for days. Both he AND the salesman, Alfred, promised over and over that they would have my counters in by my scheduled photography session (I was photographing my home for sale and had originally scheduled the installation for several days before the session date), but despite their promises, they didn't even show up until after my photographer left. I had been sitting in my empty condo with my 4 children waiting for him that day and he was FOUR HOURS late--and this was after waiting for him several times prior that week. If you value your time, DO NOT buy counters from them. I gave National Flooring 4 stars because until this review I was unaware that the two were separate companies--it is not good for National Flooring's image not to distinguish themselves more clearly from a company whose employees they have no control over. read more

Short version, kitchen and dining room gutted from water damage. This means nearly 900 sq ft of floor needs to be replaced because the floor is contiguous with 3 other large rooms and a hallway closet. Insurance only goes so far so we walked in there with a tight budget and Robert delivered. We walked in late on a weekend and he worked with us past closing and found us a quality product for a price that worked with our budget. My wife had very specific requirements for the floor, grey tones with warm shades intermixed, 20 mil wear layer, fully waterproof, and Robert zeroed in on what we were looking for very quickly. We later confirmed that the price we got was equivalent to pro price wholesale cost from an industry professional. He even got us a few samples of the different shades so we could take them home and compare them to our furniture to be sure. We placed the order for 24 boxes of flooring and when it arrived, they even gave us the flexibility to store it for a couple weeks as I made space to pick up something like 2000 pounds of luxury vinyl plank in two trips a week apart and helped me locate the manufacturer recommended glue as well.
